Chapter 69: Breakout

In this world, there was no such thing as love or hatred without cause or reason.

Litchi somehow warned and helped Su Bai, but that was only because his mother was so kind. Actually, Litchi had nothing to do with Su Bai; to a great extent, that was because he didn’t carry on the “philanthropy” after he inherited his parents’ fortune after their death but ignored what they had done. Otherwise, he might be qualified to ask her for more help.

Su Bai himself could feel that. Therefore, he didn’t have much hope for Litchi. Or to say, he was not craving for too much.

As for the relationship among Ego, Fatty, and Su Bai, they seemed to be very close because they had gone whoring together and fought side by side, but no one would take such simple friendship in debauchery too serious; that would be stupid.

Su Bai understood that. He could live with that even though he was indeed a little uncomfortable about it. They had agreed to be a group, but now they were clearly pushing himself away. As a member that was neglected and pushed out, of course he would not be happy.

Holding the knife in his hand, Su Bai held his breath, lit up the cigarette and stuck it between the branches. Then he squatted down a little and hid himself behind a tree.

“Zap!”

“Zap!”

Two arrows came at the same time. One hit the tree and the other blew off the cigarette. These western young men were indeed something. At least, they knew how to arm themselves with what they had got. They would not resign themselves to death.

Su Bai slightly closed his eyes and didn’t move at all.

Finally, he heard footsteps, gentle but detectable.

It was two persons: both were male, one had long ears, must be an elf; the other’s eyes were slightly glowing with pale gray light, must be skilled like “hawk eyes”.

“Search.”

One of them said in English.

Then they walked quickly towards where Su Bai was hiding.

Just then, Su Bai suddenly opened his eyes.

The distance was almost perfect.

Su Bai was well-experienced in killing people, and he had been thinking about how he could combine his experience with his new specialty. Although he might not be very strong for now, as long as he could use eighty or ninety percent of his strength, he would definitely surpass those who had twice as much strength as he did but could only use thirty or forty percent.

The elfin enhancer reacted extremely rapidly; he immediately attached the arrow to the bow, turned around and shot backward. All his movements were smooth with no hesitation, which meant he was absolutely calm.

“Zap!”

The arrow went into Su Bai’s underbelly; he put his strength into his waist, managed to take the hit and continued throwing himself at them.

The hawk-eyed enhancer pulled out the javelin from his back, stuck it into Su Bai’s thigh and stirred inside. Su Bai staggered; but he immediately grabbed the javelin and pulled back.

The hawk-eyed enhancer leaned forward; he couldn’t help but get closer to Su Bai.

Su Bai waved the knife. The knife wasn’t very sharp, but now it came across the hawk-eyed enhancer’s neck with severe coldness. The enhancer’s eyes widened greatly; he could never believe that he could be killed by such a small cut with an ordinary knife. Starting from his neck, his flesh and tissues were frozen by the coldness; he died quickly.

The elfin enhancer pulled out the arrow; this time he didn’t put it onto his bow but directly stuck it into Su Bai’s shoulder. Su Bai quivered and kneeled down. But next, he grabbed the elfin enhancer’s legs and pulled with mighty and main. The enhancer fell onto the ground and Su Bai immediately rushed onto him.

“Plop!”

Unexpectedly, the enhancer still had a small knife made of iron sheet. Apparently, he was skillful and professional in wrestling and fighting such that he could face danger without panic. And he was quick, the sharp knife went right into Su Bai’s neck and made him scream hoarsely because of the pain.

However, to the enhancer’s surprise, despite the multiple injuries over Su Bai’s body, he seemed to have become stronger and stronger. Then he saw Su Bai’s scarlet eyes and the fangs growing out of his mouth. Finally, he figured out what was going on, but it was too late. If he had gotten a second chance, he would never let Su Bai have the chance to approach himself.

“Crack!”

“Crack!”

“Crack!”

Su Bai’s chopped the enhancer’s face with his kitchen knife again and again to let off his anger. The good-looking western man with blonde hair had now become disfigured beyond recognition.

Taking a deep breath, Su Bai got off the body, took out a scarlet bead from the box in his clothes and put it in his mouth.

He was feeling a constant pain. The wound was hurting; his skin, flesh, nerves, and vessels were dragged together when recovering. The severe pain was a torture that was beyond any man’s imagination.

Staggering up, he picked up the javelin, the arrows and the bow, and carried them on his back, then he quickly left this area.

He did go too far from the cabin. He continued to hide himself in another slope with a stick in his mouth. When the pain came, he bit the stick to distract himself. After his clothes were all wet with his sweat, he spat out the stick which was almost broken.

The blood bead was indeed very effective. He recovered much faster, and was now much more vigorous and energetic.

He put everything in front of him and waited for a second round. They must be searching in small groups. As long as he didn’t have to face more than three enemies at one time, he was sure he could handle it.

Suddenly, a rustling sound came from one side.

Su Bai immediately grabbed the javelin with his own blood still on it. He was not very fast, but almost soundless.

In this moment, Su Bai felt as if his heartbeats were echoing the wind around him. He was patiently searching for his prey like a bat lurking in the darkness.

This felt strange, as if he was perfectly integrated with his blood and physique. There was a saying that misfortune might be a blessing in disguise—Su Bai couldn’t upgrade his blood through the e-shop for the time being, but as a result, he could evolve on his own.

At last, Su Bai slowly moved his eyes out of the bushes. Three meters away in front of him, a man was kneeling on the ground worshiping a gravestone.

And he was weeping gently.

Su Bai could tell this man was one of those western young people. But now this guy was acting weird.

Suddenly Su Bai realized that he hadn’t thought of one thing: in this story world, his true enemy was not these audiences from the west!

The western young man stopped worshiping, held his javelin and stuck it right into his stomach! Then he began to pull out his guts, as an oblation that was about to offer himself after cleaning himself inside out.

It was terrible. Su Bai’s fingers went pale because he was gripping the javelin so tight.

“Good boy, come to mommy.”

All of a sudden, Su Bai heard a soft voice.

Next, he realized that everything around him had changed; it became warm, cozy and relaxing. In front of him, an old lady stretched out her arms as if she was going to hug him.

Su Bai stood up and walked to the old lady.

“I’m starving. Good boy, let me drink your blood, will you?”

“Yes, I will.”

Su Bai answered stiffly. Then he took out the knife, cut his wrist open and let his blood drip.

“Come on, good boy. Give me your arm. I’m starving. You’re such a good boy.”

Su Bai handed over his wound to the old lady’s mouth. She immediately started drinking his fresh blood. She was gulping fast and looking at Su Bai with an amiable tender look, offering him insinuation and encouragement.

Su Bai was smiling all the time, sincerely and satisfied.

However, if someone was nearby, he or she might see a bloody leech, as large as a grown man’s palm, attached to Su Bai’s arm and stretching its mouthparts into his flesh from his wound.

“Gurgle… gurgle…”

The sound of her drinking blood was quite clear, with a desperate awful rhyme.

Su Bai was wizening as if he was several years older. Surely enough, he would become a lifeless mummy.

But he himself felt nothing. He was still smiling.

The bloody leech was growing bigger and bigger as a balloon, and redder and redder all along. The wrinkles on its skin were clear, like the hideous face of an old woman.

However, just when Su Bai’s life was about to end like this, and he had almost become a skinny mummy, two dark flames lit up in his eyes…

In the last story world, Su Bai got ptomaine and cold toxin from Nona’s blood. Luckily, he accomplished the task in time and when he left, the Dreadful Radio helped him as always. It repressed both ptomaine and cold toxin therefore Su Bai remained a vampire as a whole, but right now, almost all the blood inside Su Bai’s body was drawn out.

His ptomaine and cold toxin…

…broke out at this time!
