Duality

Chapter 35 – Complexity

Vanya read the reports and growled. She threw the scrolls against the wall in anger, and tapped her fingers on the table in front of her.

"The tribe has become too judgmental of their sisters, and the circumstances around them." Vanya said, and sighed.

"It's not like you can't understand their thoughts, momma." Lixiss said and leaned into her side. "But after being reprimanded by our goddesses, things should have calmed down. Why are things growing more chaotic?"

"I do not know." Vanya continued to think, and tap the table. She closed her eyes for a few minutes, then opened them. "Enter." She called out. A small group of guards entered the room.

"Mother Queen." The guards bowed down.

"This incident has grown far too much, and become too unpredictable. I will not cross our goddesses, as their curse is far more cruel then what my children are exposing Meena to." Vanya let out a sigh. "Send word to the families now trying to alienate and treat Meena with such harsh treatment." She picked up a scroll hidden in her throne. It was a red one, and made the guards shudder.

"As they continue to isolate the future mate of the chosen one of the goddesses, they will now be removed from the future of the tribe." One of her guards felt tears roll down her cheeks. Vanya sighed.  The one who now cried was the young orc who had been happy to buy an artifact, but her future mate hated Merla and Meena, which made her have to cancel the order.

"I know this is a blow to you, and your future mate, but the alternative is a curse from our goddesses." Vanya shook her head. "If she will not come to her senses, she will not carry a child in the near future. Remember, Meena is not abusing Merla, nor is she allowed to be near Merla to do something against our customs." She looked at the smaller orc who had been so excited to propose to her chosen mate only a few days prior.

"Mother Queen." She looked so miserable, Vanya sighed and waved her hand.

"You are no longer able to serve in the throne room. Gate duty is in your future." She said firmly. "Talk to your mate. If she continues to mistreat Meena, it would be best if your family move into another town." Vanya shook her head. Lixiss rose up from Vanya's side and knelt down in front of the defeated orc.

"I know you feel your cause is just, but the goddesses approve of their future as nothing happens now. It has been restricted, and is watched over by her grandparents." Lixiss said firmly. "Merla is not allowed to touch her, nor is Meena allowed to be with her like orcs should be. When our goddesses approve, and watch over her, why do you feel it's okay to look down on her?" The smaller orc sniffed.

"I don't. My mate is angry, and I can't calm her down. She acts with contempt, and sneers about it. Her parents are the same way." She looked up at Lixiss. "What do I do? I love her."

"Has she submitted?" Lixiss asked her. The orc, Traya, frowned a bit. "If she submitted to your authority, then she would be a good choice as a mate, little orc." Lixiss lightly rubbed her wet cheek.

"You are a tusker. You are greatly sought after as a mate just because you are a tusker. Make sure you choose properly." Lixiss said gently. Traya closed her eyes.

"What if she won't submit?" Traya asked quietly.

"You are a tusker. If she won't submit, as her nature dictates, then your life as a couple will be filled with a lot of strife." Lixiss smiled gently. "During the first two cycles, that is when a fanger tries her hardest to keep her tusker pleased, and impressed." Lixiss said quietly. "If you wonder about this, ask your own parents." Lixiss stood up.

"Your parents will know the truth, and what your next steps should be. This is all the interference we are allowed into your personal lives." Lixiss said firmly. "If they will not calm down, and refuse to accept the judgment of Duality, they will be kicked out of the town." Lixiss felt Vanya's hand on her side.

"If I have to repeat myself," Vanya said with a firm glare. "They will not get another chance, little orc."

"Traya." She looked up and saw sympathy. "We knew it would come to this, baby." Her fanged mother, Yanna, hugged her gently. Her tusked mother, Vantra, shook her head as though she had already known what the outcome would be, and was resigned to it.

"What do I do, mother?" She asked miserably. "I love her." Vantra snorted.

"Love?" Vantra reached around and pulled Traya towards her. "Are you a tusker, or a fanger?" She growled. Yanna blushed brightly as her wife was quite a bit more direct. "We are orcs! A wife submits to her tusker because that is how she is built! If she refuses to submit to you, how will you feel as the cycles pass, and she refuses to give you the respect you deserve?" Traya frowned.

"I don't understand, mother."

"Of course you do." Vantra said firmly. "Those parents of hers are both fangers. They've badmouthed tuskers for countless cycles, and have nothing good to say about them. About you." Vantra softened a bit. "If they have no respect for Meena, someone who is approved by Duality, do you really think they will show respect for you?" Vantra sighed a bit, and pulled her into a fierce hug.

"You poor mixed up little thing." She sighed again. "That's it. I'm taking you to see that little spark, Merla. If she doesn't convince you to see things straight, nothing will." Vantra smiled down at her short daughter, and groaned inwardly as she pictured what she had planned for the night.

"She's quite a unique child, Traya. Be respectful of Meena, her grandparents, and especially her parents. She has a lot of power, but she's still a child. She may throw a tantrum if you anger her." Vantra said, and looked at her wife.

"They are expecting us, Vantra." Yanna blushed when her wife glared at her. "Traya is here, baby. I have to show proper respect while she's here." Traya looked up at them quickly, and didn't hide the surprise she felt.

"Mom, did you submit?" Her mother, who was normally slightly more aggressive, blushed and smiled shyly. Traya looked at Yanna, and smiled.

"You did! After all these cycles, you finally submitted to momma!" Traya said. Vantra hugged her again, and chuckled.

"We had to wait until Mother Queen took her mate formally, Traya. It didn't stop her from respecting me, but it was difficult for her to hold back all these cycles." She leaned down a bit.

"If you're good, we'll fuck the hell out of that ass of hers tonight. After you meet Merla." Vantra watched her daughter blush a bit, but take a deep breath to calm herself. Her mother smiled.

"Yeah, I know. Later, we'll have a real good family night." Traya said with a smirk. Vantra chuckled.

"Just like we used to while you were in heat."
