DxD: Infernal Destroyer

DxD 0030: Training Camp (4/6)

When Abaddon returned an hour later with Aika, Rias took her place on her own so that he doesn’t pull her off the couch again. Though he went to Seekvaira first so to check up on her and help her mental state by cooling her head with his newly named Genisis Flux.

When he took a seat in front of Rias she promptly asked him, “What’s up with this energy?”

“Which energy?” He asked confusedly. “The energy that’s keeping me sustained without any problems. I’ve been up for almost 24 hours with only two hours of rest and I feel as fresh as if I’d just woken up. Honestly, it’s even better than that.” She said.

“Oh, that.” Abaddon paused before continuing, “Remember when you asked me how I’m enhancing Akeno’s demonic power?” He asked. “Yeah. Is it through the use of this energy?” She asked him.

“Yes.” He agreed and didn’t continue. “You gonna tell me about it?” She asked.

“No. You have to agree to be my sleeping buddy if you want to know.” He was adamant.

“Oh come on.” Rias rolled her eyes, “We’ll be training together for who knows how long. I’ll get the answer out of you at some point.” She said with a challenging look.

“You’re not wrong… And I’m really desperate to tell someone about the name of the energy that I’ve just come up with when we were training.” He said with a thoughtful look.

“Did you just give me a win?” Rias was baffled. “What?” He asked confusedly.

“You just let me win. You never do that. Give me back my cousin who’s obstinately prideful to the point of it being unhealthy.” She shook his shoulders as if trying to shake him to wake up.

“Stop, stop!” He pushed her away, “A guy can’t show any kindness without being considered crazy…” He commented.

“You don’t do kindness. You’re the literal representation of the Devil.” She said flatly.

“Anyway.” Abaddon rolled his eyes, “I call it called Genisis Flux.” He paused, gauging Rias’ reaction, “React to the name woman.” He said to her after she didn’t say anything for a while.

“What do you want from me? It’s a name, it sounds like it came out of some anime.” She paused before she continued, “Does it sound cool? Sure. Is it also cringe? Yeah…” Rias completely shat on the name he’d come up with after hours of effort.

“Fine then, I’ll call it Aether like some dumb uncreative normie…” He had a resentful expression as he looked at her.

“What did I say?!” She asked defensively before continuing, “I never told you to change the name.”

“But you called it cringe. I can’t call my special energy with a name like that.” His resentful expression changed to an annoyed one.

“Can you guys tone it down a little, please? I can’t concentrate.” Seekvaira said as she’d already gotten up. She was focusing on a specific object with multiple magic circles near her.

“My bad, Seekvaira.” Rias apologized and said to Abaddon, “Can you just tell me about this Aether?”

“Give me your hands.” He said before grabbing her hands, not waiting for her to bring them up, this time, instead of sending destruction energy into her body, he directly sent Aether into her body.

“Mmm… This feels so good…” She said as her eyes closed as she felt the direct comfort of being enveloped in Aether. ‘I guess Aether is what actually makes my fluids so addictive to Aika…’ Abaddon realized that he was more unique than he realized. ‘I really should’ve tested this stuff out before. I never had any reference until now…’ He lamented.

“This is Aether. You must be able to feel its effects on your physique and demonic energy reserves. This is also the energy that’s keeping you comfortably sustained without food or even water. I generate it when I cycle my Power of Destruction through my body.” He told her as he stopped passing it to Rias.

“Does that mean I can generate this energy too?” Rias perked up and asked him.

“Unfortunately no. For some reason, your Power of Destruction doesn’t have these effects.” He told her. “Are you sure?” She asked with a skeptical expression, hoping that he was fucking with her.

“Hate to break it to you…” He had a tight-lipped wry smile on his face as he said that.

“No…” She said in a whiney tone as her head drooped down in disappointment. “I think it’s karma because you shat on my perfectly cool name.” He said to her.

“It was a shitty name and you know it. Who names a type of energy Genisis Flux? That’s so dumb.” She took out her frustrations on his name.

Abaddon gasped, “That name did nothing to you.” He said protectively as if the name was his child.

Rias sighed at his antics and said, “Can we just get started? I don’t want to think about how I can’t produce the extremely convenient energy that is the solution to everything.”

Abaddon was already holding her hands so he pushed his destruction energy into her body to help guide her tampering process.

She was getting much better with each attempt, but it would still be quite a bit of time before she could train it on her own, making Abaddon have to pay quite a bit of attention to her.

This process went by quickly as Aika was again done with a book as she came to Abaddon and got her reward. He checked up on Seekvaira before paying attention to Rias again. This was how the entire 60 hours went by.

“You can take a nap for a couple of hours, Rias. You’ve been constantly up for 60 hours, even with my energy sustaining you, you still need some rest after such intense training.” Even though Abaddon had made it look easy, the destruction training was very painful and difficult.

With the three girls resting, he went outside to check up on the others.

At the same time, Rias looked over to Seekvaira and asked something she’d been curious about for a while now.

“What about your peerage, Seekvaira? With the benefits that come with the presence of Aether literally saturating this entire room, I would expect that you guys regularly train with him.” She asked her.

“Ugh, don’t ask. Abaddon completely abhors every member of my peerage. I could barely prevent him from killing everyone the last time they met.” Seekvaira said with lingering annoyance.

“What happened?” Rias asked with a gasp as she summoned a tea set and prepared some tea. She was in for the details of this ‘tea’. Seekvaira had an amused expression on her face as she said, “I guess you’re in for the long story?” She confirmed.

“Well, not too long, but enough that we can finish this tea.” Rias spent some time preparing tea for the two of them.

Seekvaira started, “I’d invited him to my territory after one of his Rating games to hang out and get him to appraise my peerage. I had convinced him to train me and my peerage after promising that he could ask me to set up a time barrier whenever he wants.” She paused.

“Wait… Anytime?” Rias asked with a complicated expression that seemed apprehensive.

“Anytime…” Seekvaira had an expression that screamed that she was dead inside, “I’ve regretted that promise many times…” She said, thinking about the most recent time when he called her to help out when he was fucking his new pawn. She gave a look to Aika who seemed to be reading a book but her subtle glances told Seekvaira that she was interested in their conversation.

Rias looked over at Seekvaira and after some silent communication, “You can join in, you know, Aika?” Rias said with a smile.

“Are you sure, Rias-senpai?” Aika looked at them, although it was her break time, she was still focusing on studying since she wanted to go above and beyond for Abaddon. “I’m sure that he’s told you about it, but I don’t really have too many distinctions when it comes to servants. You are Abaddon’s pawn, so that means that you are a part of his family and by extension mine.” Rias told Aika heartwarming words.

“Thank you senpai…” Aika said with a happy smile and saw a sweet smile on Rias’ face.

After Aika took a seat with them, Seekvaira continued, “Anyway, initially, everyone in my peerage had the utmost respect for him, considering his reputation. But as you know, he has a pretty easygoing nature with practically everything. They all got familiar and comfortable with him. We were joking about something which I don’t quite remember, I think it was a joke about asking for me to be his body pillow for the night.”

“I don’t think it was a joke…” Rias said.

“Even if I refused, he would’ve made do. As I say, he’s a pretty easygoing person with those he is familiar and comfortable with… And I have a lot of leeway, being his childhood friend. My peerage on the other hand… doesn’t” Seekhvaira had a wry smile, “After I refused, he jokingly said that I should send my Queen in my place instead. Sadly, she took it the wrong way, she’s very close to my knight and they are practically a couple. Before I could stop them, they lashed out at him with comments about being disrespectful and not deserving my friendship… He didn’t take it kindly, especially when the others started making a joke out of the situation.” She said before taking a breath.

“And he beat them up?” Aika asked.

“I wish it was that simple… If they’d fought in front of me, I would’ve been able to intervene and prevent things from getting too bad. But just smiled at me and left the room without saying anything more. The next morning when I woke up, I saw a note on my bedside table along with a couple of vials of phoenix tears. As you can expect, he completely demolished every single one of my peerage members to a near-death state. To this day, when I ask any of them about what he did, they shudder and beg me that I shouldn’t ask them.” Seekhvaira finished her story.

“Damn, my master is savage…” Aika was impressed with the stars in her eyes.

“Moral of the story being… Don’t mess with him if you don’t know him.” Rias said.

“Yep. I’m honestly jealous of your peerage. He’s practically training every single one of them.” Seekhvaira said to Rias.
