Elaxi Dice

Chapter 01

"Ahhh—!"

You could hear the screams of death within the walls of a grand and spacious mansion as if the devil has fell upon them, hunting for their lives...

"Sister!!"

A high-pitched voice screamed out for her sister.

"Hide here..."

A youngster who appeared to be a young woman grabbed onto an elder woman. She lowered her head, her eyes spinning with anxiety and hatred.

"We can't do anything... You know you can't do anything in this situation! That evil, crazy woman..."

"Hush!!"

A finger was placed against her lips to keep her silent.

She trembled as her watery eyes blinked towards her eldest sister's calm expression. Unknowingly, she began to shed tears, holding onto her hand tightly, shaking.

The elder woman's heart softens and aches to look at her youngest sister trembling this way. She sighed softly and placed her other hand on top of her head.

"Don't cry, I'm sure he has a reason for all this chaos situation..."

She then placed her hand against her cheek, wiping the tears that were shed. She wrapped her arms around her shoulder and brought her to her chest.

She whispered that everything was going to be okay while she patted her back.

Feeling her tremble slowly calming down, she looked at the documents that were scattered after her youngest sister barged into the office with a horrified expression.

"I will go out and see while you stay here. Stay under the desk where it's safe, Soph. Do you understand?"

The young woman who was called by upon her 'Soph' panicked even more hearing her words.

"N-no!! Sister, I could never do that!!!"

She escaped from within her eldest sister's arms and grabbed onto her upper arms instead. She stammered over her words without thinking and glancing at her face.

"Then... then I will just follow y-you even if it means disobeying your words! You can't stop me!!"

Hearing her strong and stubborn words, the elder woman revealed a breath helplessly. She chuckled and sighed.

"You're too soft and can't stand the unsightly scenes that we might encounter on the way out. But it doesn't matter."

The two sisters stared at each other before turning towards the door. She gave her warning to the younger one behind her as she walks towards the creaked open door.

"You must stay behind me at all times and don't ever leave my sight, understood?"

She quickly nodded her head. Seeing her this way, she didn't hesitate to open the door once more and walk out of the room.

Darkness.

Unlike when the sun is up revealing its sunlight or the moon shines its moonlight against the windows whether it's day or night, a dark hall welcomed them.

You can't feel anything but fear and screams down the halls and rooms making you have goosebumps and overthink what exactly was happening within the mansion.

Walking softly, she held the walls and bowed her body to keep herself unnoticed. This truly horrified her looking at the state of the once clean and aging marble floors now stained with blood and messed up-looking corpses.

After arriving at her desired destination, she frowned deeply at the sight she witnessed. Although she tried not to show it on her face, fear and irritation began to creep onto her heart.

A pool of blood and corpses were everywhere. It was worse than what they have crossed through.

It was a nightmare. If you were to look closely, you would find many of the corpses were mostly near the front doors and other doors that were appearing to be broken down.

It seemed like they were trying to lock whoever from outside from coming within the mansion. Their hopes stemmed to have shattered seeing their twisted face with agony at the end of their lives.

"Hurk..."

Blergh—

Soph couldn't help but vomit at the sight she just witnessed and panted, making her breathing difficult.

Before she could turn and help her out, she heard a cry. A cry of words that were difficult to raise their voice yet it was also extremely familiar.

She turned to see she was right. It was one of the people that were loyal to her even after the passing of the former lords of this mansion.

"R-run... Miss Arianna... Lady S-Sophi...a..."

A desperate hand was trying to reach both women. Blood was gushing out from her abdomen and her right leg was missing.

"They've arrived! In-inside looking for... the both of you!!!"

"Nana..."

The elder woman that was identified as Arianna quickly grabbed onto the old and withering woman with her hands and stared at her shaky body.

"You... you need to go..."

She smiled gently and grabbed Arianna's hand. She took a deep breath and tried to speak as fluently as she could before her strings of life snapped.

"Ever since they left you and them have taken care us lowly commoners into your grace... you need to live for them! Please... Our fifth young master has gone crazy for that filthy witch... hurry, escape!!"

She screamed in horror hearing a noise. Pushing the duo for them to run away was the last action she had done before she finally fell to her death.
