Chapter 58: The Semi-silent Treatment
I ran into Halit and Benard on the way back from the church. They were coming out of the hotel.
“Where are you guys going?” I immediately asked.
Benard looked away, but Halit answered, “To the post office.”
“Oh, sending off letters to your family?”
“Yeah.” He said.
“What about the other guys.” Only the two of you, I thought. “Don’t they want to send mail to their families?”
“I don’t think Dixon and Woodie are close to their families,” Halit said.
I looked at Benard, and seeing how Halit was talking normally to me, he mumbled, “I have Theo’s letter. He doesn’t like going to the post office.”
“So you’re his errand boy?” I smirked.
“Errand boy?” He was genuinely confused and didn’t know what to say.
“And Garth said he sent his letter yesterday,” Halit said.
“What?” Garth was an orphan when he started working for my family. Who is he sending his letters to? My mother? He isn’t… What is he telling her?
“Okay, we’re going to go,” Halit said while I stared into space.
“Oh, okay.” They walked past me.

They were making out when I walked into our room. Sterling was on top, his legs wide open. This had become their favorite way to pass the time. I couldn’t blame them; it looked fun. There was nothing else for them to do but kill boredom, anyway. They stuck to making out when I was around, but I was sure they’d done everything already.
I bit my underlip and thought, perfect; I could go for two dickings. The priest had left me horny and unsatisfied. I jumped on the bed and caressed Sterling’s back. They stopped making out and looked at me. Since their lips weren’t occupied with each other, I thought I’d kiss Sterling. But he sat up and avoided my kiss. Otto sat up and leaned against the headboard.
And Sterling gingerly asked, “Did anyone say anything mean to you?”
“Ah? No.”
“That’s good.” He said.
“They were talking about you today morning,” Otto said.
So, they’re talking behind my back. “Let them talk,” I said defiantly, “See if I care.” And leaned in to kiss him.
Otto put his hand on my chest to stop me and said, “Well, you should care. You’re the leader.”
I collapsed back on the bed and said, “Come on, guys. We talked about this yesterday.” I already had to spend a night on the couch.
“They didn’t like how you acted last night,” Sterling said.
“Of course, they didn’t. I called them out on their idiocy.” I said. “But they’ll get over it.”
“That’s the other thing. I don’t think you should call them idiots. They’re your teammates, and you can get across your points without throwing insults.”
Sterling this goody-goody. “Fine, sorry,” I said and leaned in again for a kiss. And he pushed on my breast and stopped me.
“It’s not me you should be apologizing to. You should apologize to them.”
“What?” Is he serious? “No.”
“You need to show your teammates respect if you want them to show it back,” Otto said.
“But they were wrong!”
Otto looked at Sterling and shook his head like I was a lost cause or something. And Sterling said, “They might’ve been, but there’s a respectful way of saying that. You want to work with them, don’t you? They’re your sisters, aren’t they? When you went into the dungeon, did you do everything on your own? When you go into dungeons in the future, are they not important?”
“Ah, that…” This is so stupid. If I call him stupid, he’ll just lecture me even more.
“And saying things like you’ll kill them, and talking to them like they’re replaceable…” They looked disgusted with me. “Are sisters replaceable to you?”
“What? No.” I whispered, and silence followed.
Then Otto looked over at Sterling and said, “Should we go downstairs? Maybe they’re playing cards. I’m not really feeling like love-making anymore.”
“Okay,” I said.
“Ah, I don’t think you should come down, Sherrie,” Otto said. “I don’t think they want to see you right now. You should only come down for lunch.”
“What the hell? Why am I the bad guy!? Because of them, we might be exposed to bandits or thieves! Or worse!” I shouted.
Otto looked at Sterling and said, “She doesn’t get it.”
“What don’t I get!”
“First of all, don’t shout,” Otto said. Then he shook his head and added, “Just go back to your couch.”
“My couch?” I frowned.
“Let me help you apologize, Sherrie.” Sterling offered. “If you apologize, I’m sure everyone will understand.”
“They should apologize first for being idiots.” I pouted.
“You know he kept defending you today, right?” Otto sighed. “They kept talking shit about you, and Sterling stuck up for you in everything.”
“They did…”
“Come on, Sterling. Let’s give her some alone time to think.” He emphasized the word ‘alone.’ Then he got off the bed.
“Sterling…” Is he going to leave me alone too?
“We’ll talk later.” He said and kissed my forehead.
“But I don’t want to talk later,” I mumbled. He smiled wryly and walked out of the room with Otto. “Assholes.” I buried my face in the pillows… They had their smell.
Did I really take it too far? But if I apologize, they’ll lose respect for me, I thought. And immediately, Sterling’s head popped up in my mind saying: they won’t. But they won’t take me seriously; they’ll go back to babbling. And Sterling’s illusory head once again spoke: they will take you seriously; they won’t babble. You don’t know that. There was no response.

We ate lunch in silence. We ate dinner in silence. How long are they going to keep this up? They should get over it already! They were giving me the semi-silent treatment.
Nikola was the worst. She asks questions, and when I respond, she answers them with an uncaring tone, usually one-worded and jeering. I wanted to yank her ears out, but that probably won’t be good for my approval rating.
Sterling asked when we returned to our room after dinner, “Terrie was wondering if you’ll keep your promise to save her father-in-law?”
“What? Why wouldn’t I?”
“That’s good.” He smiled.
“When did she ask you this?” To think she’d question my integrity over a bit of scolding.
“While we were playing cards.” He said. “Benard was worried you were turning into another Agneza.”
“What’s an Agneza?” I asked.
“Terrie’s old leader.”
“Oh.”
“Are you ready to apologize yet!?” Otto shouted at me.
“Why do I need to apologize when they’re the ones babbling!?” I shouted back.
“Guys, stop shouting.” Sterling calmly said. “You’re not apologizing for babbling. You’re apologizing because you’re acting like a little tyrant.”
Little? “You’re mocking me now too?” I smirked and chuckled angrily.
He came closer, wrapped his arms around me, and gently rubbed my back. “How about we apologize tomorrow? We’ll do it together.”
I pushed him away. I was frothing at the mouth. “Err. Arr…” Why am I wrong? Why am I the wrong one? “I’ll sleep on the couch,” I said through my teeth.
After the lights were turned off and the room was dark, I heard Sterling moaning. I couldn’t see what was happening, but it was clear they were fucking around. While I was alone on the couch… Their warm naked bodies, their throbbing dicks… I wanted to ride those dicks. I wanted to feel their warmth and feel their dicks deep inside me. I tried to stay as still as possible on the couch and pretend I was already asleep. But I couldn’t help but wiggle my hips to their grunts and moans. I bit my underlip harder and harder as I listened to them. I didn’t know if they were doing it on purpose, or thought I was asleep, or just didn’t care! But it was torturous. I wanted to be on that bed! A part of me just wanted to give up all pride and beg. Just beg to get on that bed. Be an animal, ride those dicks, and get pounded. That’s what my pussy wanted, but I refused to think with my pussy. So I endured… Eventually, the moaning stopped. It was a bitter victory. My pussy wasn’t fucked, but my mind was. I didn’t know you could get your mind fucked so hard, but they did it, my boys did it, they fucked my mind good. I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
