Chapter 267: Coming out....
Su Yen walked on the river, lost in deep contemplation. What he had just learned from the old man from the Reapers Organization shocked him and left him confused.
Why would their main clan support the Bloodmoon Envoys? Apart from that, why would they send their ancestors to such a barren land?
For centuries, their clan had been struggling in the barren land against their deadly foe: The Monster Beast Race.
Thousands of their clansmen had died under the tragic claws of the beasts.
Now, two of his most hated enemies had something to do with his clan.
Moreover, their parents lied to them and knew something about the main clan but chose not to disclose it.
Just as he was lost in thought, he heard the system notification in his head.
[Ding!]
[You've increased the World Providence.]
[Your experience with the Sword Burial Skills has increased.]
[You're rewarded with the second form: Death Phantom.]
Looking at the rows of notifications, he furrowed his brow and pursed his lips slowly.
It would be a lie if he wasn't shocked by the sudden notification. In his previous battle, he only used ten percent of his overall strength and now got a reward for it.
What the hell was going on?!
Did the system want him only to use ten percent of his strength? He wondered.
As he was still trying to understand the reason why he was rewarded by the system.
The knowledge about the Death Phantom rushed to his mind and for a couple of seconds, his mind went blank.
When he woke up from the trance, over an hour had passed. As he tried to comprehend what just happened, he saw a shocking scene in front of him.
In his five hundred meters radius, dead sea beasts floated on the river surface.
He gasped with wide eyes. From the knowledge he just comprehended about the Death Phantom, he knew it was from the skill.
Compared to the first form of the Sword Burial: Deathwrath, the Death Phantom was another level. It was three times more powerful than the Deathwrath.
Apart from that, there was sword intent in the Death Phantom. The Phantom part was sword intent.
Without attacking, any phantom appeared, death followed.
And that was what happened when he was comprehending the skill. It was the Death Phantom sword intent that killed every life form around his five hundred meters radius in the river.
He sucked in a cold breath and left the scene with a light smile on his face.
Unbeknownst to him, as he left the hidden island of the Reapers Organization.
In one of the destroyed buildings, an ancient formation lit up and an image of an old man materialized in the sky.
The old man looked at the ruins and his expression turned to fury.
He only appeared for a couple of seconds, but that was enough for him to realize no one was spared in the attack.
A grunt escaped from his throat and he disappeared into thin air as if he never appeared in the first place.

Inside the Zizhu prefecture capital, standing before the Prefecture Lord, a woman dressed in armor that couldn't hide her gorgeous body spoke with confidence.
"My Lord, the cold steel pass can't fight this war."
"Why not?" The Prefecture Lord demanded, not caring about her attitude toward him.
"This is not like the previous battle, my lord. While we're still trying to keep the beast race in check, the state governor has declared war on us, and their army of five hundred thousand is already marching toward our borders." She paused, and her expression turned slightly bitter.
"We don't have the resources and men to confront them. If we gathered all our men, we could barely amount to a hundred thousand soldiers. So please, do something about it."
Listening to this, the Prefecture Lord sighed and shook his head slightly. He knew the plight of the soldiers guarding their borders, but he didn't have the power to do anything about it.
Their Prefecture was the weakest and poorest of all the Prefectures in the state.
Even in terms of Cultivation Technique and Martial Skills, they were subpar to other Prefectures.
Now, with full-blown war coming to their border, he knew things were about to turn from bad to worse for them unless they stepped in.
When he remembered the new power that came from the barren land, his heart skipped a beat; perhaps they still had hope.
"Do you know of this?" He asked, showing her the Spirit Comms.
She looked at the small ordinary rings with a slight puzzle on her face. Why would I know an ordinary ring? She thought before shaking her head.
"Really. I sent a couple of these rings to your father. I expected you to have one." His voice was filled with surprise.
He knew how much the general loved his only daughter, and he wouldn't hesitate to give her daughter such an important artifact.
Though he was confused by this, he recovered quickly and introduced the function of the Spirit Comms to her.
When she heard all the magical abilities of the small ordinary rings, her jaw dropped to the ground.
Is this even possible?! She thought in dismay.
Looking at the serious expression on the Prefecture Lord's face, she knew it was real.
"So you've given my father this magical ring..." She asked, with her tone still filled with shock.
"Yes... I know how important this ring is for our survival in the upcoming war, and that was why I sent it quickly to him. Alas..." His voice dropped a couple of decibels filled with sadness.
However, the sadness in his voice disappeared immediately, and his voice became calm once again.
"I understand why your father didn't value such an ordinary ring, but it would have been for the best if he had followed my advice."
A look of realization appeared on her face when she realized what happened. Her father didn't use the ring.
But this puzzled her; she knew her father and knew her father harbored a trace of hope in the Prefecture Lord, so why didn't he use it? Experience new tales on m v|l e'm,p y r
Unless something urgent came up, and he didn't have the time to use it.
Thinking of this, a trace of worry appeared on her face, and she couldn't wait to return to the border.
Looking at her, the Prefecture Lord said, "I know what you're thinking, and I will let you go now. But first, hear this."
"The people that created this magical ring come from a sect. The Celestial Heavenly Sect, and they are creating an army to defend this land."
"With my support and the support of all the clans in the Prefecture, we should have enough soldiers to send to the border to help you."
"So, tell your father to hold on. This war won't be like the previous one, and he should use the ring in order for us to communicate."
"A sect!" She exclaimed, with wide-open eyes.
Who would dare create a sect?! She was stunned, not believing what she just heard.
Looking at her exaggerated expression, the Prefecture Lord chuckled lightly.
"You don't need to worry about the sect. Go now and tell your father what I just told you. We won't lose this war."
