Evolution Theory of the Hunter

Chapter 190

J: Chapter 3 of 10.

However, there was something that had to be done before opening all the Red Holes.

Thinking about the disaster that would occur at the sudden mass opening, I thought that it was right to give them a chance to leave themselves.

Also, the internet was useful at times like this.

Whether they trust this or not was up to the Chinese government. Also, the ones that pay for not trusting me isn’t me but them.

I went to a nearby PC cafe to avoid getting traced.

Technicians were able to quickly find out where the comment was written by tracing the IP address so it was better to avoid getting my profile exposed.

The PC cafe had a problem of the CCTV but that was also solved easily.

There was an item that could be used to cover the face in the utility section of the Delta Store.

Surprise Party Mask (1) : Makes the user’s face look old.

As a 10 EP each mask, it could change a person’s face to look like a 70 year old.

“Welcome.”

“Seat for one please.”

I chose a PC cafe far from my house on purpose.

Also, I accessed a Chinese site. China also had a site that hunters regularly used like the Hunter Market of Korea. A famous trading site called Baibao had a bulletin board related to items for hunters.

I had Chinese translation function as a passive so there were no problems in using it.

And so, I posted a simple comment on the bulletin board.

– 30 minutes from now, a Red Hole will open on the east wall of Xian Castle Wall.

Of course, there was no response.

There were already about 100 Red Holes open so it was bustling with stories about them but there was no one that would show interest in a nonsensical topic like this.

The only comment that was posted was ‘123’ that didn’t have any meaning.

I waited for 30 minutes to pass and opened the dungeon.

At that, the site became noisy at the newly opened Red Hole.

There was no one showing a response to the post I made.

However, after doing so a few times, people showed increasing interest in my posts.

– What is this person?

– Must be a seer.

– 123

– Didn’t he just get lucky?

– An extremely lucky person.

The nuance couldn’t be passed on due to it being a translation but it was still response that showed surprise.

Either way, what was 123.

I foretold the location of a few more Red Holes. My post soon rose to the site’s main.

My posts started appearing on Baibao’s main page.

I decided that it was about time and wrote a long post.

– 24 hours later, all Red Holes in China will open. The total number will reach 20,000. The difficulty of clearing it will be as hard as much of a reward it gives.

I did write it impromptu but the main point was the last two sentences.

At that, Baibao site started exploding.

***

“Oh. You came?”

Soo-ah, who had been watching TV while lying down on the sofa, waved at me.

“What are you doing?”

“China is a mess right now you know? Seonbae oppa did this right?”

The TV was showing the story that started in China’s Baibao site. A prophecy that all Red Holes would open tomorrow had been made.

The Chinese government didn’t make any comment about it but seeing how the public security police had started to move, it seems they’re preparing just in case.

“Hm. Would it be fine with just that?”

China had over 20,000 dungeons.

For those that had been sucking on their thumb for the past few months, the Red Holes that suddenly appeared was a sweet rain after a drought.

If they were to storm to the dungeons, the public safety police won’t be able to stop them on their own. It was the same for the hunters hired by the government. In fact, they will probably try to enter first.

However, even in that situation, the Chinese government kept their silence and continued their attack on the Yellow Sea.

“By the way. Is that okay?”

“What is.”

“Red Holes. New items drop from there. I think it would be a loss if level 0 items or skills drop.”

“That should be fine.”

“Well, it should be fine if seonbae oppa says its fine but.”

Soo-ah nodded. The good thing about this girl was that she didn’t dig further to my answers.

Even though she should be curious.

I didn’t feel the need to hide it from her.

She had a pretty tight lip you see.

“To put it simply, it’s like this.”

I slowly started explaining.

The Effort skill or quite a few of the items I had were things that rapidly raised one’s abilities.

Also, most of them were things that the Delta system created. The thing I was most concerned about when opening Red Holes was about this as well.

If level 0 items and skills poured out of the Red Holes then I would no longer be a special existence after all. But to say the conclusion, I didn’t have to worry about that.

In the first place, level 0s didn’t drop.

Like the level 0 Recruitment skill the Chungho Group leader had, it did drop with an exceedingly low drop rate though. However, it was only that one time. There might be a few more but that was it. Level 0s didn’t drop from Red Holes.

The Mystic Dungeon is not only able to control the level of each dungeon, but can also check the type of items that drop from it. Also, there isn’t a single one that drops level 0s.

The conclusion I made is that level 0 items themselves are special items that Delta itself made.

In other words, there’s no other way to obtain it except by chance at a very low probability. Also, that probability wasn’t that different from before Red Holes to after them. I had pretty much gotten my Effort skill from the irregular that jumped out of an original dungeon after all.

“I don’t know what it is, but it seems like it’ll be okay.”

“Well…… I suppose.”

“But why did you explain with so much effort? I wasn’t really curious. Did you want to talk to me?”

Soo-ah pushed her face in while blinking her eyes.

I let out a sigh and got up from my seat. It seems this girl only had useless thoughts in her head even in this situation.

I called An Gyu-bum to get some detailed information.

[What is it?]

“What’s with the attitude to a customer that allowed you to earn it big?”

[What are you talking about with our relationship.]

“What is our relationship.”

[Friends of course.]

“Friend my ass. Leaving that aside, I have something to ask you.”

[Do I have to listen if you ask?]

“How much did I allow you to earn again?”

[…… Please ask whatever. Dear customer.]

I didn’t know exactly, but the amount of money this guy earned was in the trillions.

It was a massive amount considering it was only after a few negotiations. Since he got a lot more than the amount I ripped off of him he had gotten his investment’s worth.

I received that much as well so I didn’t have any complaints but I was planning on sucking him dry as long as I was the greatest customer.

“How is China’s attack going? And Baek Gyeongs’ situation?”

[It seems the number of Baek Gyeong is still in the dozens. However, the Chinese hunters that were participating are stirring. Probably of the rumor from Baibao…… But why are you asking all of a sudden?]

“I just wanted to know how the situation is going.”

This guy had quick wits after all. I didn’t think it was a good idea to take out the story about Red Holes.

[Well. They are continuing to push. It should get settled once master Lee Hui-seung comes out.]

“Even if there are Baek Gyeong?”

[Something like Baek Gyeong is nothing to that man.]

“If all 1,000 of them appear at the same time?”

“That…… I’m not too sure about. I’m not unable to trust you but I don’t think 1,000 of them have already been completed. Even if there were more, wouldn’t there only be 10 or so?]

“That would be nice but well.”

[Either way, it sure is unusual. I didn’t think you would show interest in something like this. Weren’t you indifferent to other peoples’ business?]

He let out a bait. He was probably trying to feel the waters if I were to bite. However, I wasn’t that easy either. My inner feelings showed on my face but it was easy to mask my voice after all.

“I have a team as well after all. If they aren’t able to hunt in the Yellow Sea, it would be a massive loss.”

[Then how about you participate in the battle? I think your level of power should help quite a bit.]

“I was planning on doing so. Do you know when Lee Hui-seung is participating?”

[I wouldn’t know. That man is elusive after all.]

“Hm. You’re of no use I see.”

I asked a few more questions and ended the call. It was just things about the Space Expansion Marble and the American situation.

America wanted to continuously increase the business. The first contract was over 20t and the second and third were already planned.

They wanted it to be done in America but it was concluded that it would be done in Korea.

The only person that could do it was me after all.

The next day.

I drove the car to the Yellow Sea.

Edward was the one driving and I was in the back seat being Soo-ah’s conversation partner.

“I thought you would leave me behind this time as well.”

“No. I felt this last time but I thought that it would be better to have you by my side.”

This was the truth.

My ability rose tremendously. If Soo-ah’s buff ability was added on top of that, even I was interested at how far that ability could go.

I couldn’t take her since New Alaska was a long term expedition but the work this time around would finish in a few days so there was no particular reason to leave her behind.

“But was this something you could get more of?”

Soo-ah said so while fiddling with the Confinement Necklace on her neck.

It wasn’t something taken from Edward but a newly purchased item.

“It’s something sold in the Delta Store for 50EP.”

It was a level 3 new item so it wasn’t that expensive in the first place.

“Then wouldn’t it be better for the others to have it as well?”

“It’s a useless item if I’m not there. I was planning on distributing it when there’s a chance to go hunting together.”

“Figures…….”

The van arrived at ManLiPo.

The place that used to be a beach resort was filled with buildings. Also, there were thousands of hunters and soldiers placed to regulate them.

“It seems like it will be difficult to enter though.”

Edward said.

Because the entire Yellow Sea was in battle between Chinese and Korean hunters, they couldn’t let just anybody go in. However, I had already taken care of that problem.

I had an omnipotent kit for problems like this called An Gyu-bum after all.

A soldier approached and tapped the driver seat window.

Once Edward opened the window, a person that seemed to be a young officer opened his mouth.

“I have heard ahead of time. Identification please.”

I took out my identification handed it to him.

An Gyu-bum this guy, he does his work properly.

The soldier repeatedly confirmed the identification and my face and raised the barrier after saluting.
