Fairy Tail: Evolution Start From The Black Dragon

Chapter 47: Chapter 47: The Relationship Between Him and Her

Erza's intuition was correct. Selene indeed treated her kindly because Erza was Irene's daughter.

Not just anyone was worthy of Selene's favorable treatment.

If Erza did not have the identity of being Irene's daughter, at least not recognized by Selene yet, Selene would at most treat Erza as a pretty stranger. Her attitude might not even be as good as it was towards Misaki and Kiria, whom she had been with for a while.

"Come on, I'll show you the room Irene prepared for you."

Erza's room was on the right side of the second floor, second only in size to the master bedroom prepared for Aegon. Among the 15 rooms aside from the master bedroom, only three rooms were of such specifications, belonging to Erza, Irene, and Selene respectively.

"Open it yourself," Selene said with a playful smile, leaning against the door frame, gesturing for Erza to open the door.

The nameplate on the door had a name carved into it, "Erza," indicating that this was her room.

When the brown double doors were pushed open, the hallway of the suite came into view, with a skylight above. Two meters ahead, the double doors on the left led to the bedroom, which was covered with beautiful parquet flooring. The far left side of the room was a seating area, with a circular ceiling design featuring a hand-painted mural in the center and a chandelier hanging in the middle. If one looked closely, they could see twinkling lights on the ceiling, somewhat resembling a starry sky.

On the right side of the room were three floor-to-ceiling windows. Through these windows, one could overlook the beautiful backyard. The curtains were drawn back, and sunlight poured onto a large white bed measuring 2x2.3 meters. At the foot of the bed was a matching white vanity.

Erza couldn't help but marvel at how spacious, exquisite, and beautiful the room was, making her dorm room at the girls' dormitory seem pitifully small in comparison.

"How is it? Do you like it?" Selene stood at the doorway, smiling as she watched her. "This is just the bedroom. Your suite has other areas too."

Erza had indeed noticed that right at the entrance of the bedroom was a walk-in closet, about ten square meters. Erza really liked this closet, as it could store many of her trophies and armors.

Around the corner from the hallway was a walk-in shower, covered with natural stone flooring. The walls had symmetrical patterns, and the showerhead above was the largest Erza had ever seen. Seeing the impressive water flow...

She twitched the corner of her mouth, "This is a waterfall... Is this for bathing or raining?"

Next to the shower was a bathtub, with natural stone countertops and cabinets, and mirrors all around. Erza's suite even had a massage room, and at the end, there was another spacious walk-in closet, which was even larger than the one at the entrance.

Erza was evidently surprised, "There are actually two closets?"

Selene nodded, "Irene guessed from the information in the Sorcerer Weekly that you like to collect trophies and that you probably have a lot of armors, so she specially prepared two closets for you."

"If that's not enough, more can be added. So, do you like it?"

"I must admit, I do like it," Erza said honestly, thanks to Selene's sincerity.

"If you like it, then stay. This is your room, and this is... your home."

Erza could see that Irene had put a lot of thought into this room. Moreover, hearing that Irene was trying to find a way to fix her eyes based on what she read in the Sorcerer Weekly, Erza couldn't help but feel a bit moved, even if she knew it might not help much.

Before Erza could speak, Selene continued, "Don't be in a hurry to refuse. I don't know what you think of Irene right now, but I know very well that Irene wants to make amends to you, and you should give her the chance to do so, rather than rejecting her all the time."

Erza hesitated for a long time before speaking, "Can I ask a question first?"

Selene nodded, "Sure."

"What is the relationship between Irene and that... man?"

"His name is Aegon, and they have a romantic relationship."

"And what about you and him?"

"The same relationship."

Seeing Erza's shocked expression, Selene chuckled, "What, are you surprised? But this is how the world works. He has that kind of power."

Most countries in Earthland were like this, with feudal systems, kingdoms, kings, and nobility. The two nearby continents were still two vast empires.

In Ishgar, on top of the nobility, there was also the Magic Council, which suppressed the royal power like divine authority at certain times.

Moreover, powerful wizards were everywhere. You couldn't expect these rules to restrain them.

But Erza was still young and had not yet seen the full picture of the world.

"You don't..."

Selene shook her finger, "No, I don't reject it at all. In fact, I'm quite used to it. Irene has been busy dealing with your eye issue these past two days, which has made me a bit unaccustomed."

Erza's worldview was greatly challenged...

"You're still young. You'll understand when you grow up."

"Are you sure it's appropriate to instill such views at such a young age?"

Hearing Aegon's voice from behind, Selene didn't even turn around, "I don't care whether it's appropriate or not."

In fact, Aegon had noticed when Erza and Selene had just returned, but he didn't come out. Instead, it was likely that Irene, who might still be in seclusion, didn't know yet.

Strictly speaking, this was the first official meeting between Aegon and Erza. Last time at the Fairy Tail Guild bar, Erza had mostly focused on Irene, noticing Aegon only because he was handsome...

Seeing Aegon's sudden appearance, Erza was a bit flustered, her hands clutching and releasing her white dress, not knowing what attitude to take towards Aegon. If Selene hadn't been so straightforward, Erza might have been more at ease with all the preparations Irene had made for her.

Selene, who had been talking non-stop earlier, was now leaning against the door frame, watching the show with a light laugh.

Although Aegon was simply wearing a robe, seemingly just awake with slightly messy hair...

But looking at his smiling face. Erza couldn't help but to think that he's quite good-looking.

At first glance, and now taking a closer look, the same thought persisted.

People are visual creatures, always making judgments based on whether someone fits their aesthetic.

Erza was just about to try to speak when she heard the red-haired man opposite her:

"Stay, don't be so nervous. The materials for this house were provided by Selene, and it was built with Irene's magic. They naturally have the right to decide the room's ownership."

After saying this, Aegon left, leaving the rest to Selene. Saying too much would backfire.

As long as Erza stayed at the manor, the rest could be left to time.

After Aegon left, seeing the questioning look Erza directed at her, Selene nodded:

"That's right."
