Fate: Zero to Hero

Chapter 174: Planing forward

Duryodhana was seated high up in a gnarled tree, leisurely eating an apple. His eyes were dark with anger as he regarded his surroundings, his gaze shifting from Karna to the other surviving Kauravas. The silence in the air was palpable, punctuated only by the crunch of his apple.

"So, Dushasana has died," Duryodhana said, his voice laced with frustration.

Karna's eyes narrowed slightly, reflecting the bitterness of their recent loss. "He was a fool, thinking that absorbing Dharma would elevate him above all others."

Vikarna, who had been observing the scene from a distance, stepped forward. His white hair fluttered in the wind, and he adjusted the arrow that rested on his back. His gaze was steady as he addressed his brothers. "Why should we be so angry? Just because Dushasana absorbed a god, he became arrogant. He thought that possessing Dharma's power made him invincible."

Vikarna's tone was calm but carried an edge of disdain. "He forgot that true power doesn't come from gods alone. It comes from our own strength, our unity, and our ability to adapt and overcome."

Duryodhana's expression remained stern, but he considered Vikarna's words. "And what now? With Dushasana gone, we've lost a significant asset."

Vikarna looked at the remnants of their forces, then back at Duryodhana. "We regroup. We adapt. We show our enemies that we are not so easily defeated. The loss of Dushasana is a setback, but it is not the end. We have the power to forge a new path, and we will. Let us not dwell on the fallen, but focus on our own resurgence."

Karna nodded, his expression softening slightly. "Vikarna is right. We must use this opportunity to reassess and strengthen our position. There is still much to be done."

The Kauravas, though diminished, began to rally around the idea of rebuilding and moving forward. Vikarna's words had ignited a spark of determination within them. They were not finished; not yet.

"but the one to kill him who was it"

They all turned there head to see a man with dark hair, wearing another royal like outfit, as lighting started to crackled with him as he was seating down, he both cared and didn't care at the same time about his older brother death, to him Dushasana got what was coming to him, they looked at the man who was this man he was Chitrasena

Chitrasena, draped in his royal attire, sat with an air of nonchalance, the crackling lightning around him accentuating his indifferent demeanor. His dark hair fell loosely around his face, which bore a mixture of detachment and faint amusement.

Duryodhana's piercing gaze was fixed on his brother. "Chitrasena, you don't seem to be as troubled by Dushasana's death as the rest of us. Why is that?"

Chitrasena's eyes met Duryodhana's with a calm, almost casual expression. "Dushasana was always too ambitious for his own good. He sought power through the gods, but he lacked the understanding that true strength is not merely about wielding divine might. He was overconfident and reckless, and such traits lead to downfall."

He leaned back, crossing his legs with a relaxed posture. "I'm not troubled by his death because it was a result of his own arrogance. If anything, his end was a necessary lesson for the rest of us."

Karna raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "And who was it that defeated him?"

Chitrasena's gaze turned thoughtful. "The one who killed Dushasana was a figure of considerable power and skill. From what I've gathered, it was none other than Ritsuka Fujimaru."

Duryodhana's eyes narrowed. "Ritsuka Fujimaru? The one who has caused us so much trouble?"

Chitrasena nodded. "Yes. His abilities are formidable, and he has the backing of powerful allies. His involvement in Dushasana's death only underscores the gravity of the threat he poses."

Vikarna stepped forward, his expression resolute. "Then we must be cautious. If Ritsuka Fujimaru is our adversary, we need to reassess our strategies and prepare for a more formidable challenge."

Duryodhana clenched his fist, the frustration of recent losses mingling with his resolve. "Agreed. We will not let Dushasana's death be in vain. We will strategize and strengthen our forces. Ritsuka Fujimaru and his allies will face our might."

Chitrasena's gaze remained indifferent but not without a hint of approval. "Prepare well. We have a chance to turn this situation to our advantage. The death of one of our own is a blow, but it also serves as a catalyst for us to unite and grow stronger."

The Kauravas, though grieving their loss, found a renewed sense of purpose in Chitrasena's words. They knew that the path ahead would be fraught with challenges, but their determination to prevail against Ritsuka Fujimaru and his allies only grew stronger.

As they arrived in the castle to will plan, Vikarna looked at Karna

Vikarna them spoke. "What do you make of this Karna".

Karna just looked at Vikarna. "this is a Singh that our time has come that is it"

Vikarna just looked at him. "are you saying this as Kuravas or Pandava, after all your not our blood brother, especially from what I gather he is your descended from proper human history"

Karna met Vikarna's gaze with a steady look, his expression reflecting the weight of the situation. "I speak as both a Kurava and as someone who understands the gravity of our circumstances. My origins may differ, but my allegiance is to this family and our shared goal. The arrival of Ritsuka Fujimaru and his allies signifies a pivotal moment for us all."

Vikarna's eyes narrowed slightly, studying Karna's demeanor. "So, you're acknowledging that the threat he poses is significant. But does that mean we should approach this with caution or aggression?"

Karna took a deep breath, weighing his words carefully. "We must balance both. Ritsuka Fujimaru is indeed a descendant of mine from proper human history and wields extraordinary power. Underestimating him would be a grave mistake. We need to gather intelligence, understand his capabilities and allies, and then strike with precision."

Duryodhana, who had been silent, nodded in agreement. "Karna's point is valid. We've already seen the consequences of unchecked ambition and arrogance. Our next moves must be strategic and well-coordinated. We cannot afford further losses."

Chitrasena, who had been quietly observing, added his perspective. "We should also consider potential alliances. The current state of affairs might attract other powerful entities who could either be allies or foes. Assessing these possibilities could give us an edge."

Vikarna nodded thoughtfully, taking in the suggestions. "Then it's settled. We'll fortify our position here, gather more intelligence on Ritsuka Fujimaru and his forces, and explore potential alliances. This will be a test of both our strength and our strategic acumen."

Karna then looked at the window as all the Pandava had gone away, as he looked the sky as behind him it was Pepe

Pepe looked at him and then he spoke. "you don't what the Kuravas win do you".

Karne never moved his eyes from the sky as he spoke. "No, no I don't, and I am not speaking as a Pandava, but we Kuravas, there should have never been one rulers to rule this world for so long".

Karna's gaze remained fixed on the sky, his expression a mixture of contemplation and concern. His words carried a weight that reflected his deep understanding of the current state of affairs.

Pepe, standing behind him, observed the silent struggle in Karna's demeanor. "So you believe that the power dynamics of this Lostbelt need to shift?"

Karna finally turned to face Pepe, his eyes reflecting a complex blend of resolve and weariness. "Indeed. The Kuravas' rule has been long and oppressive, and while the Pandavas may offer a different vision, the inherent problems in this world are not merely about replacing one ruler with another. The structure itself is flawed."

Pepe raised an eyebrow. "And what is your solution then? The Lostbelt is rife with conflict, and the power struggles are far from resolved."

Karna's expression hardened as he spoke. "My solution is not to simply overthrow one power for another, but to address the very nature of the world we inhabit. We must seek to bring about a fundamental change, to reshape this world so that its power structures are not solely defined by ancient grudges and failed histories."

Pepe nodded slowly, his expression thoughtful. "You're suggesting a radical transformation. That won't be easy, especially with the current powers at play."

Karna's voice grew firm, his conviction evident. "It will not be easy, but it is necessary. The current state of affairs cannot continue. If we are to survive and thrive, we need to rethink our approach and forge a new path. One that is not constrained by the failures of the past."

Pepe considered Karna's words, understanding the gravity of his stance. "Very well, Karna. I will support you in this endeavor. But be prepared for the opposition that will come, both from within and outside."

Karna nodded, his resolve strengthening. "I appreciate your support, Pepe. Together, we may find a way to create a new order, one that can address the deeper issues plaguing our world."

Pepe then looked at the sky as he sun was shining. "So what do you think your descended (Ritsuka)is doing"

Karna just looked in the sky before he spoke. "i don't knows, but what do say"

Pepe then spoke. "I say knowing my leader he is doing training or figthing a Kali (Demon) that attacked him".

Meanwhile Ritsuka was doing nun, as he was floating on a river, he was using his shadow to ground him self in the water, Ritsuka then heard a voice.

"It has been a long time sense some came to rest in my water"

Ritsuka opned his eyes hearing the voice. "I am going to gess the one speaking to me is the goddess Ganga.

Ritsuka saw the watee moved as it did there she was, a very beautiful woman with that of white hair, she was riding a crocodile as she looked at him, she was wearing a beautiful sari as she looked at him

Ganga looked at Ritsuka and gave him a gentle. "your a descended of a god how interesting, which one are you"

Ritsuka just looked at her. "Sury, but the right word is I am descended of Karna".

Ganga's eyes softened as she looked at Ritsuka, her serene expression reflecting both curiosity and understanding. She gently guided her crocodile closer to where Ritsuka floated.

"Descendant of Karna," she repeated thoughtfully. "Karna's legacy is indeed a powerful one. It is rare to encounter someone with such a heritage, especially in these turbulent times."

Ritsuka maintained his floating position, his shadow anchored to the water's surface. "Yes, and it seems my presence here is not just by chance. I've been dealing with many challenges, including those that touch upon my lineage and the legacy I carry."

Ganga nodded, her gaze thoughtful. "The currents of destiny have a way of intertwining with the fates of those who are marked by divine heritage. What is it that you seek in this Lostbelt? Peace, power, or perhaps understanding?"

Ritsuka sighed, reflecting on the weight of his journey. "I seek a balance. There's a lot at stake here. Understanding the true nature of this Lostbelt, its gods, and its power struggles is crucial. I want to ensure that the changes we make are for the better, not just for me but for everyone affected."

Ganga's eyes sparkled with a hint of admiration. "Your intentions are noble. The Lostbelt is a place where many lost truths and distorted histories reside. It is not just a battleground but a repository of the forgotten and the divine."

Ritsuka tilted his head, intrigued. "Are there ways to navigate this realm with greater wisdom? To gain insights that could aid us in our mission?"

Ganga's expression grew contemplative. "Wisdom often comes from understanding the essence of things. The river and its waters are ancient, holding countless secrets. If you wish to learn more, you must attune yourself to the deeper currents of this Lostbelt and embrace both its light and shadows."

Ritsuka nodded, recognizing the depth of her words. "Thank you for your guidance. I'll keep your advice in mind as we move forward."

Ganga offered a warm smile. "It is my pleasure. Remember, even in the midst of great power and conflict, the pursuit of wisdom can illuminate the path ahead."

As Ganga began to retreat, merging with the waters once more, Ritsuka remained floating, reflecting on the conversation. The serenity of the river and the goddess's wisdom provided him with a moment of clarity amid the ongoing turmoil.

With renewed resolve, Ritsuka prepared to continue his journey, ready to face the challenges that lay ahead with a deeper understanding of his own path and the forces at play in the Lostbelt.

Ritsuka then looked at the water. "by any chance can you give me something"

Ganga pulled her head out as she looked at him. "what may that be"

Ritsuka just looked at him. "Eggs of Truth"

Ganga looked at him. "yes why is that, I do have a few hundreds of them"

Ritsuka looked at him. "To become Immortal".

The waterh shakes as Ganga loomed at him anger. "if that is the reason I should drown you"

Ritsuka just looked at her. "I just want it so I can live with my girlfriend for ever".

Ganga stopped and looked at him. "what?"

Ritsuka just looked at her. "my girlfriend/Future wife's are immortal and they have trying there beast to give me immortality, but we don't have some of the things we need and Egg's of Truth are one of them".

Ganga's expression softened as she listened to Ritsuka's explanation. The anger in her eyes gave way to a mixture of curiosity and compassion.

"Immortality for love," she repeated thoughtfully. "It is a noble wish, though not one without its complexities. The Eggs of Truth hold immense power and are often sought for various purposes, including eternal life. They are not easily given, as they are bound to the essence of truth and the natural order."

Ritsuka nodded, understanding the gravity of his request. "I know it's a significant ask. But I believe in the balance of our world and the choices we make. I want to ensure that my loved ones and I can face whatever comes with the strength to endure together."

Ganga considered his words carefully. "Your intentions are pure, but the Eggs of Truth are not easily granted. They require a deep understanding of their purpose and a commitment to uphold the truths they represent. If I were to give you some, it would be on the condition that you honor their essence and use them wisely."

Ritsuka looked at her with determination. "I promise to respect their power and use them with the utmost responsibility. My aim is to ensure that our bonds remain unbroken and that we can continue to contribute positively to our world."

Ganga's gaze softened further, and she nodded slowly. "Very well. I will grant you a few of the Eggs of Truth, but you must remember that their power is not without its burdens. Immortality comes with its own set of challenges and responsibilities."

She reached into the river, and the water parted to reveal several shimmering orbs, each glowing with an ethereal light. Ganga carefully selected a few and offered them to Ritsuka.

"These Eggs of Truth carry the weight of time and the essence of existence. Handle them with care, and may they serve you well in your journey."

Ritsuka accepted the Eggs with gratitude, feeling their profound energy resonate with his own resolve. "Thank you, Ganga. I will honor your gift and the responsibility that comes with it."

As Ganga withdrew into the waters, Ritsuka remained by the riverbank, holding the Eggs of Truth close. The weight of the responsibility and the promise of immortality filled him with a sense of both awe and determination.

With this new gift in hand, Ritsuka prepared to continue his journey, ready to face the challenges of the Lostbelt with renewed purpose and the enduring support of his loved ones.
