Chapter 62: 99 Host part 2
In the place we're all the 99 host were at, each of them were death on there throne as each there Thorne was marked with the number 1 - 100, with Ritsuka throne the 100th being empty do to him not being will dead, as everyone was in there energy form but Katarina
Katarina the 99th host just looked at all them. "What mad that I reveled by true self to Ritsuka too early"
Host no 3 spoke. "Yes we had a system, Katarina"
Katarina just looked at them. "Boohoo cry louder, the kid was in emotional mess, so I just helped so yeah deal with it"
Host No 9 then spoke. "Will I maybe not like how you did, but I do see why you did it"
Host no 2 then spoke. "While yes I agree, we all ha-"
He was cut of as Ritsuka landed with a tud, as he had hit to floor, everyone had a face of Oof with some of them even laughing there throne moving bit.
Host no 1 just looked at him. "Not the most graceful landing No 100th".
Ritsuka just looked at him. "Not the time demon lord, I need help system show them"
[ New Skill: Memory reaction: It allows the host to see the memory of there harem member, even interact with them, the more involved host is with that member the more interaction will happen, changing the memory can alter the time do to the world making sure there is no Paradox ]
No 12 looked at him. "Oh so you have that skill"
Ritsuka looked at him. "You know about this you siscon"
No 12 sighed as he started to change his energy was was a black colour change as it shows his full self, he looks like an average guy, probably highschool with black hair
Host no 12 looked at Ritsuka. "My name is Masachika Kuze, and that is my original Skill you bought"
Ritsuka just looked at him. "I have so many questions"
Host No. 12, Masachika Kuze, leaned back on his throne and sighed. "Yeah, I figured you would. The skill you bought, Memory Reaction, is something I developed back when I was alive. It allowed me to interact with my harem's memories, sometimes even altering them. But as you can guess, it's a double-edged sword."
Ritsuka looked around the room at the other hosts, many of whom were eyeing him with curiosity or mild amusement. "So you're telling me this... skill can change the past without causing paradoxes?"
Host No. 1, the Demon Lord, grinned. "In a way, yes. The world adapts to these changes. But it's not always that simple. The deeper your connection with someone, the more significant the impact on their memory—and possibly even their fate."
Ritsuka frowned, his mind racing. "So what you're saying is, I could've accidentally changed something in Medusa's past that affects her now?"
Katarina, the 99th host, stepped forward. "Exactly, kid. You might've already shifted her memory or her perception of the past. But don't freak out too much. It's more common than you think. We've all dealt with it."
Host No. 9, who had been quietly observing, finally spoke up. "The key is balance. You have to navigate these memories carefully. If you're too reckless, it could lead to unintended consequences."
Ritsuka shook his head. "Great. Just what I needed, more complications."
Masachika Kuze chuckled. "Welcome to our world. But hey, you're one of us now. Might as well embrace it."
Host No. 1 smirked. "So, No. 100th, what's your plan? You can keep using the skill or learn to master it before it causes any real trouble."
Ritsuka sighed. "I guess I don't have much of a choice, do I? But I'll need all the advice I can get."
The hosts, despite their various personalities and backgrounds, nodded in unison. It seemed that, for better or worse, Ritsuka had entered a new stage of his journey as the 100th Host, and the challenges were only just beginning.
Katarina grinned. "Don't worry, Ritsuka. We'll help you through it. But remember, some things you'll have to figure out on your own."
Ritsuka rubbed his temples. "Perfect... Just perfect."
Ritsuka then looked at Masachika. "How did you even get this skill"
Masachika just looked at him. "It started with a Russian girl"
Masachika Kuze leaned back on his throne, a nostalgic smile forming on his face. "Yeah, it all started with a Russian girl. Her name was Alya. Back when I was in high school, she was the type to hide her feelings, but you could always catch glimpses of her real emotions if you paid close attention."
Ritsuka raised an eyebrow, curious. "So, a high school romance led to you developing this skill?"
Masachika chuckled. "You could say that. Alya had this habit of speaking in Russian when she thought no one would understand her. At first, it was just me trying to understand her better, learning her language, reading between the lines. But over time, I started to wish I could really dive into her thoughts and memories, see what she was thinking when she said those things."
He shrugged. "Eventually, as I got more involved in my relationships, I developed this skill without even realizing it. It wasn't just about understanding what they were saying in the moment—it was about accessing their memories, their deeper emotions. That's how Memory Reaction came to be."
Ritsuka blinked. "So it evolved from your connection with Alya?"
"Yeah, pretty much," Masachika said, rubbing the back of his neck. "The more I bonded with people, the more I was able to interact with their memories, even shape them a bit. It was never anything malicious, but sometimes memories needed a little nudge to help someone grow or see things differently."
Ritsuka processed the information, nodding slowly. "So you were able to change their memories without creating chaos."
Masachika leaned forward. "Exactly. It's a delicate balance, though. One wrong move and you could alter someone's entire perspective or even their future. But if you're careful, it can be a powerful tool for healing... or, well, manipulation, depending on how you use it."
Ritsuka scratched his head. "Great, no pressure then."
Masachika laughed. "You'll figure it out. Just remember—it all comes down to the strength of your connection with the people involved. And from what I've seen, you've got quite the harem to navigate."
Ritsuka groaned internally. "Yeah, tell me about it."
Masachika just looked at Ritsuka. "Don't worry, just go and use the skill when need"
Ritsuka just looked at him. "Thanks, so um... Are we going to talk about
Sisters in your harem things"
Masachika just looked at him. "No we will not be talking about that"
Ritsuka chuckled a bit, sensing Masachika's discomfort. "Alright, alright, I won't push. But you know, given everything that's going on with me, it's nice to know I'm not the only one dealing with... complicated relationships."
Masachika just shook his head. "Trust me, it's better if we don't go into the details. Let's just say things got... awkward, and leave it at that."
Katarina smirked from her throne. "Aw, come on, Masachika, you could share some advice. You know, for the sake of camaraderie."
Masachika sighed heavily. "Yeah, no thanks. Ritsuka, you're on your own with your harem, pal. Just use the skill wisely, and you might avoid some of the mistakes I've made."
Ritsuka gave him a thumbs-up, half-joking. "Great, sounds like a plan. Avoid harem complications, avoid memory-altering disasters, and maybe survive the next round of Servant dreams without breaking the timeline. Easy."
Masachika chuckled. "Welcome to the club."
Ritsuka sat back on his throne, trying to process everything. The whole situation felt surreal, sitting among the 99 previous hosts, all offering advice — or in some cases, just watching him navigate this mess. He sighed, knowing that once he woke up, things wouldn't get any easier.
Katarina broke the silence. "Look, Ritsuka, the skill is powerful, but you'll need to be careful with it. Especially since it can affect the memories of others, not just your harem members. You've already seen what it did with Medusa."
Ritsuka nodded. "Yeah, that's what worries me. I didn't plan on interfering that deeply. But if this skill is automatically influencing the Servant Master Dream Cycle... then any memory could be altered, right?"
Host No. 1, who had remained quiet until now, leaned forward. "Exactly. The Servant Master Dream Cycle is already a fragile balance between dreams and reality, especially for powerful figures like Medusa. If your new skill starts merging with it, you'll need to tread lightly. Otherwise, you might accidentally create an alternate timeline — or worse, rewrite history altogether."
Ritsuka groaned, rubbing his temples. "This keeps getting better and better."
Masachika chuckled. "Hey, at least you've got an interesting challenge ahead of you. Better than being bored, right?"
Katarina smirked. "Don't worry, Ritsuka. If anyone can handle this mess, it's you. Besides, you've already broken more rules than any of us combined."
Ritsuka let out a half-hearted laugh. "Yeah, because that's so comforting."
Host No. 9 spoke up again. "For now, focus on understanding how the skill works. Try not to use it recklessly, and be cautious when you're in these dream cycles. If you're unsure, it might be worth consulting your Servants directly."
Ritsuka nodded. "That's a good idea. Maybe if I explain what's happening, they can help me control the skill or at least avoid causing any more disturbances."
Masachika leaned back in his throne. "Sounds like a solid plan. Just don't let things get out of hand with the sisters in your harem. Trust me on that one."
Ritsuka smirked. "Duly noted."
As the meeting began to wind down, Ritsuka stood up. "Alright, I should get going. If this system is going to keep throwing curveballs at me, I better be ready for the next one."
Katarina winked at him. "Good luck, kid. You're gonna need it."
Ritsuka sighed. "Yeah, I'm starting to realize that."
With a flash of light, Ritsuka felt himself being pulled out of the room of the 99 hosts, the laughter of his predecessors echoing in his ears. As he woke up back in Chaldea, he could already feel the weight of the day ahead of him.
He muttered to himself, "Let's just hope I don't accidentally rewrite history again..."
With that, he got up and headed to face whatever chaos awaited him next.
Back in the host domain
Katarina looked at Host No 54. "I am supirse hey didn't ask you anything, like you know what the hell is with you and you're harem of yandere"
Host No. 54, a tall figure with a relaxed posture, leaned back in his throne, a smirk playing on his lips. "Well, Katarina, it's probably because Ritsuka's too preoccupied with his own problems to ask. Or maybe he just doesn't want to open that can of worms. Can't blame him."
Katarina crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow. "Still, a harem of yanderes? That's asking for trouble."
No. 54 chuckled softly. "Trouble? Oh, absolutely. But it's a kind of trouble I thrive on." His eyes glinted with amusement. "There's a certain... thrill in managing it. You just have to know how to keep things balanced. Keep them loyal, but not too possessive."
Host No. 12, Masachika, cut in, shaking his head. "I'm not sure if you're brave or just completely insane, No. 54. Yanderes are not exactly known for balance."
Host No. 54 shrugged. "You just have to make each of them feel special in their own way. Besides, when things get too intense, well... let's just say I've got a few tricks up my sleeve to cool things down."
Katarina sighed. "I still don't get it. Why would anyone willingly put themselves in a situation where their harem members might kill them out of jealousy?"
No. 54 grinned. "It's all part of the game. Keeps things interesting. And who knows, maybe Ritsuka will have to deal with a yandere or two himself one day. Let's see how he handles it then."
Host No. 9 laughed. "If that happens, we're in for a show."
Katarina smirked, glancing at No. 54. "Well, if Ritsuka ever comes asking about how to deal with yanderes, we know who to point him to. Just don't be surprised if he looks at you like you're crazy."
Host No. 54 chuckled again, his eyes glinting with mischief. "Let him. We all have our own brand of crazy here, don't we?"
The other hosts murmured in agreement, their eyes flickering with shared memories of their past experiences. Each of them had faced their own unique challenges, and they all knew that Ritsuka's journey was only just beginning.
