Finally Got Stronger but Ended Up Regressing

chapter 1

Chapter 1 Prologue

“If you could go back to the past, would you?”

Someone asked me that about two months ago. My answer was, of course, NO.

There was no reason to go back.

Twenty-five years ago, I enlisted in the Hunter Corps under the mandatory Hunter service law. After a long period of service, I stayed on.

I started as a sergeant, then moved up to staff sergeant, and finally reached master sergeant.

I had no talent whatsoever, so I lived my past days solely through effort.

While others went on leave to date their lovers, I was stuck in the training ground.

Because I wanted to succeed no matter what.

I finally reaped the fruits of my labor.

I was no longer a handyman doing odd jobs.

I was a skilled fighter who could take on ogres alone.

Not only that.

As my rank and pay grade rose, I saved up a lot of money. I even bought a small building.

I also expanded my network significantly. With just one phone call, I could have a meal with the senior master sergeant of a higher unit.

That’s why there was no reason to go back.

To the past.

But…

This couldn’t be happening.

“…Damn it.”

No matter how much I thought about it, this couldn’t be happening.

“This is too much!”

When I opened my eyes, it was twenty-five years ago. The time when I had barely completed Hunter training and was transferred to my unit.

A time when I had nothing but my body.

“If this was going to happen, they should have done it sooner! What kind of regression is this now!”

I had regressed to the worst period of my life.
