Chapter 11: VORTEX IN THE AIR
Elsa had just succeeded in calming the three spirit elements— a bit— and was currently trying to do the same to Nokk, the water spirit.
Beside the river from the fallen Dam, she knelt by Nokk, brushing her fingers against its rippling mane while he neighed aggressively.
His luminous- like form stiring and flickering if that was possible.
"What is wrong?" Elsa asked, addressing him and the other three that were surrounding her.
The Bruni, twitched and hissed, while his its tiny form kept glowing in a very bright orange colour.
Gale swirled around her legs, as the earth giant shifted let out low groans, vibrating through the ground.
But none of them answered her.
She knew they were agitated, yet there was no sort of explanation coming from them.
Running her hands through Nokk's nose, creases formed at the corner of her eyes.
"I can't do anything if none of you tell me what's wrong."
Nokk stomped his hooves violently, sending ripples of water across the pools around them, jerking his head as if he was trying to shake off something.
Suddenly, Elsa felt a very sharp pain in her heart and gasped, letting go of Nokk's mane and nose to touch her chest.
The pain hit her again, faster, before she could even process it.
And this one was even stronger than the first, causing her to fall to the ground on all four.
Coughing, her vision blurred up so she blinked, opening her eyes to see blood on the soil.
A third pain hit her like it was strangling her heart and she spasmsed, digging her fingers deeper through her dress, coughing again involuntarily and seeing it for herself that…
The blood was coming from her mouth.
Elsa's pain seemed to affect the other four spirits, 'cos they all began acting up immediately.
Nokk reared up, crashing his hooves crashing into the water with force, raising huge waves that surged up high.
The long broken dam made a sound that sounded like a groan under the pressure as water moved into the forest.
Bruni hissed loudly and erupted into flames of fire, that swallowed his body completely till all that could be seen was just fire.
Soon, the flames from his body began to spread over the forest floor, mixing with the water that strangely didn't quench it… lifting off the ground by several feets.
Gale screamed in a pitching whistle sound, turning about and transforming into a devil whirlwind.
Trees started snapping from their roots as if they were twigs with their branches flying in all directions as the wind tore through the forest.
The earth giant raised its head up and roared causing rocks and boulders to roll down the hills and crashing through the carving paths of the enchanted land.
For her part, Elsa's arms were shaking severely as ice spread out from her palms, freezing the ground and exploding into the air.
The ice moved in jagged spikes, colliding with the other element swirling up around her—- fire, water, wind and earth— merging them all into a vortex.
Then Elsa's eyes glowed, pure white — without any trace of her blue pupils— from the inside out.
