Gender Reversal Politics

chapter 31

31. Foreign Affairs Committee

Now my standing committee is the Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee.

The first thing I did was to hire an aide who was treated as an NPC for the Foreign Affairs Committee.

“This is Assistant Yang Ki-cheol. I hope to go along well.”

Shorter than me, but quite tall, in the mid-170’s, looks like an alpaca who has lost the will to live.

He was also a veteran who worked for 18 years only on the Foreign Affairs Committee as a male level 4 aide, which is rare in the National Assembly.

I didn’t call her an NPC to insult her.

This nobleman was the type who was exclusively in charge of the Foreign Affairs Committee, regardless of whoever wrote him. It is said that the mouth is heavy.

‘Every standing committee has a person like this.’

A mercenary who only cultivated the expertise of the Standing Committee rather than devoting allegiance to a member of the National Assembly.

If he chose this path, he somehow managed to survive even if the gold badge he enshrined failed. In the eyes of such a person, a member of the National Assembly would rather look like a time limit.

Maybe that’s why he didn’t look unfamiliar right after he came to my office.

“Aide Yang. The existing aide Shin A-ram will be in charge of political affairs. Assistant Yang Ki-cheol will be in charge of the standing committee.”

“Yes. I know that.”

“I would like to ask you in advance, I did not come to the Foreign Affairs Committee to deal only with diplomatic issues. Because something has already been done.”

“That 30 billion, no, Kwon Ye-sol?”

“That’s it.”

I came to the outer tube to catch Kwon Ye-sol as easily as possible.

I didn’t come up with the delusion of catching Ye-Sol Kwon by systematically moving the staff of Korean embassies around the world. The embassy is not an investigative agency.

But they could be put to good use.

It was easy to make a justification for an overseas business trip through the embassy, and I was able to ask the administration of the country where Kwon Ye-sol was supposed to be (I don’t know where) at least once. If a member of the National Assembly pushes against it, it may get chewed up, but it is not easy to chew the embassy.

And, there was a more important reason than anything else.

“It’s still a problem after I caught Kwon Ye-sol. With that in mind, I came to the External Communications Committee.”

“You look far away, Senator.”

“It’s not about looking far away. I have no intention of dragging it out for 6 or 7 months…. After Kwon Ye-sol is caught anyway, she will try to take her from all over the world. I can intervene only when I am on top of the outer tube.”

There was a high possibility that a skirmish would break out after Kwon Ye-sol was caught someday.

The U.S. Filed a civil lawsuit and even started to move the federal prosecutors, and Korea recently took action to invalidate passports.

In addition, an investigation into Kwon Ye-sol was initiated or a class action lawsuit was filed in four countries, including Singapore.

It is only natural that there are people all over the world who have ruined their lives with Mana Coins.

‘It would be best if we could share it amicably.’

If it could be divided according to the size of the loss, it wouldn’t be as fair. But if that didn’t happen, there would be a fierce battle over which country Kwon Ye-sol would be punished for.

Assistant Yang Gi-cheol understood my words right away.

“Yes. Under international law, the country that arrested the suspect decides the country of repatriation. There is a high possibility that the competition to secure Kwon Ye-sol’s recruit will take place behind the scenes…. It could even escalate into a diplomatic conflict.”

“It can’t be a secret, it will be a secret. Not only did the investors lose money, but they also made the Korean political world a mess.”

An NPC that nodded in agreement, no, Yang Gi-cheol’s aide.

However, there was one context he misunderstood.

“Mr. Bringing Ye-Sol Kwon to Korea won’t be easy. At that time, if the diplomatic authorities hold on to it, repatriation to South Korea will be easier.”

He seemed to think that I wanted to bring Kwon Yesol to Korea.

I don’t think so for nothing, it seemed like there was a reason.

“To Korea? Why do you think I want that?”

“I apologize, but in the end 30 billion… Isn’t that what you started with? In order to achieve the expected effect, you need to create a scene where Kwon Ye-sol enters Korea. That way, your political burden will go away.”

It was a plausible guess.

Making a decisive contribution to my arrest and repatriation of Kwon Ye-sol, and taking a picture at the airport with the repatriation team dispatched by the Ministry of Justice standing on a folding screen.

It was the most political move. That way, there will be evidence of my decisive contribution.

However, I did not do this with the intention of bringing Ye-Sol Kwon to Korea. That was something to decide after looking for it.

“Aide Yang. That’s not what I’m trying to do. Maybe something will happen that will have to block the repatriation to South Korea.”

“Yes?”

“Among the charges that Korean prosecutors can apply to Ye-Sol Kwon, there is only one bribe to former CEO Ha-Seon Park. No one was quite sure he could get a conviction on any other charge.”

“… ….”

“We have to send him to the country where he can be punished the most severely.”

If that’s not the case, create a situation where you don’t have to ask whether or not to repatriate.

This is not something to say to an aide who will work as a fixture in the office, so I just swallowed it.

Anyway, Assistant Yang Ki-cheol seemed to understand what I was saying.

Also, he didn’t seem to like it when he said he was getting caught up in a fuss.

It’s probably because it’s relatively more comfortable to work in the councilor’s office where the quests are clear. Other members of the council entrust their aides with quest creation and strategy.

“I understand. Congressman. Is there anything I can do now?”

“I just need to do some preliminary work so that I can leave the country at any time or negotiate with the Korean embassy in the country. For example, if I said that I would go to the Philippines with two or three entourage….”

“It means to create a channel so that you can hide your intentions and go out at any time…. It’s not difficult. There are many reasons for incumbent lawmakers to go abroad. Even if it’s an event for Korean citizens, it’s okay to use it as an excuse. But….”

“Cost would be an issue.”

“If you want to process it with the National Assembly budget, the process becomes complicated.”

On average, a member of the National Assembly spends more than 20 million won on an overseas business trip.

Even this was lowered to a minimum. When an incumbent lawmaker goes abroad, Korean embassy staff are dispatched to act as guides. There were times when they even let me see tourist spots.

Fortunately, I was able to dispel this worry.

“No need to worry, Aide Yang. I will pay for everything with my own money.”

Assistant Yang Gi-cheol hesitates for a moment at this statement.

It seemed that it was because there were very few members of the National Assembly who would pay 100 percent of the travel expenses with their own money. When the old man orders, “Bring the money by any means,” It is the role of an aide to actually do it.

But I didn’t mean to.

I’m not saying this because I’m a conscientious person, it’s just that I don’t have to. Do you need to save on travel expenses when you have 30 billion won?

“I understand, Congressman Suho Lee.”

The way I started doing what I ordered right away.

I finally felt that I had the power.

*

Now that we’ve even got an assistant in charge of the standing committee, it’s time to move on to the next step.

Tomorrow, we were scheduled to announce how to use the 30 billion won.

However, around this time, an uninvited guest appeared.

This has also been a long-standing characteristic of the House of Representatives.

Obviously, the Assembly Hall is a state-designated first-class security facility, so visitors are thoroughly checked and cannot enter or leave without permission, but strange people are always infested with it. Because if you make up your mind and pierce it, it will be pierced.

“Rep. Suho Lee? The management team of the ‘Victims of the Manacoin Crisis Victims Group’ came for the purpose of a protest visit.”

“Did you just say it was a protest visit?”

“Yes. That’s right.”

Aide Shin A-ram raised the embarrassment. It seemed to be understood as meaning that the management team was excited.

There was nothing unusual about the fact that Manacoin investors came to me. I’m the one who set out to catch Kwon Ye-sol.

But a protest visit?

Doesn’t this mean that there is something to be discussed? I bet you’re not here to scold me for my immaturity.

“YouTube… It seems that he came to see .”

I could guess what was going on just by hearing these words.

『”Burger sisters, please hold Kwon Ye-sol instead of me!” Praying Pyeonghwa Party Suho Lee』

『Can Lee Soo-ho legally swallow 30 billion won? Surprisingly, it is possible. I’ll clean it up in 4 minutes!”

Even now, a video of a thumbnail like this was going around.

To be honest, it was true that I was a provocative material. Leverage 30x short selling, 24 hour time limit, 30 billion.

Even 30 billion itself was kept as a dollar-linked coin, so the value was rising. Because the dollar is strong these days.

It seemed to distort that Kwon Ye-sol was only hoping for a quick catch because I wanted to take the money.

“Mr. Aren’t you going to reveal your spending plan soon anyway? I will deal with the people who visited this time in moderation and send them off.”

Actually, the misunderstanding towards me was going to be resolved soon. It’s because we’ve decided to hold a press conference tomorrow.

There was no need to overreact to the lekkas who sell fake news or the people who came to protest because they were lured by them.

‘It’s okay if I sue.’

I just felt bad for letting it go.

It wasn’t just because it was unpleasant.

If this is the case, there is a high possibility that fake news will continue to be produced even if the schedule is carried out normally. They will drive it as if I was trying to sneak a trick, but I was surprised by the pressure of public opinion and turned.

It’s sad, but there will probably be people who get caught in it.

You can ignore it, but it wouldn’t be bad to step on it. If done well, it might be possible to block out future noise.

There was one method that just came to mind.
