chapter 16
16. No, why is there still a female lead?
Facing the seemingly relaxed Noah, Marlowe wore an expression of caution, as if facing a formidable enemy. He had initially considered whether to seize the opportunity to ambush Noah, to let this arrogant brat know the power of his elders.
But after careful thought, he decided against it. Even if he succeeded in the ambush, he had a nagging feeling that Noah would simply smile and praise his bravery, then effortlessly tear him in half.
With the force that could send coffee beans flying at supersonic speed, tearing a person apart would surely be a trivial matter.
Better to hold off for now and see what the other party wanted.
As the second-in-command of the organization, Marlowe was different from those lowly thugs. He decided to try and converse with the monster before him.
“May I ask what you need from me, sir? With such extraordinary power, you must have some task for me, given that you haven’t killed me.”
Marlowe cautiously inquired of Noah, who was sprawled on his sofa, as if he were dealing with a ticking time bomb.
His comical demeanor made Noah want to laugh. It seemed that even villains feared greater evils; they bullied the weak when they could win, but when they couldn’t, they attempted to reason. How cunning they were.
But this was fine; if he weren’t a villain, Noah would feel guilty about using others.
“Nothing much, just want you to help me take down someone.”
Noah continued to feign the capricious demeanor of an evil god, casually uttering wicked words.
“…Who is that person?”
The moment he heard this, Marlowe felt bewildered. He couldn’t understand who could possibly require his assistance given Noah’s strength. With those skills, he could probably kill a king.
However, he also knew that speaking too much could lead to trouble, so he swallowed his confusion and continued to inquire about the details of the request.
“Princess Valentina. You should know her, right?”
“?!”
Although he had long suspected that the request wouldn’t be anything good, learning that it was about the illegitimate princess made Marlowe realize he had found something thrilling to do.
His prince had been wanting him to find a way to gather dirt on Valentina, but he had been disinterested and had been slacking off. Now, it seemed he had no choice but to take action.
“Oh, look at you, you seem to be in the know. Actually, I have a grudge against that princess, but due to certain reasons, I can’t take action myself, so I’m counting on you. I know that Prince Mori behind you has always yearned to personally humiliate his sister, who has brought shame to the royal family, right?”
Noah spoke all this in a relaxed tone, as if chatting with someone, but for Marlowe, it was a series of shocks.
He even knew about his relationship with Prince Mori? Was this young man a god or a demon?!
—
No… no matter what the truth is, it seems he has to do it; after all, he doesn’t want to die.
“So I’m counting on you. Get started right away, any means necessary. If you can defeat her head-on and hand her over to Prince Morillo, I won’t have any complaints. My only demand is to defeat her, that’s all. Of course, you can refuse…”
Noah was currently immersed in playing the role of a mysterious villain threatening an evil organization, just as he was about to threaten Marlow in the same way he had threatened the nobles earlier.
“No, I accept.”
Marlow immediately interrupted Noah’s speech, choosing to surrender outright to avoid being threatened by him.
Such a compliant villain surprised Noah.
So obedient, while it was indeed nice, it made him feel like a real bad guy.
Though, to be fair, he was indeed a bad guy.
Not long after, Marlow, having agreed to Noah’s request, hurriedly left the hideout to prepare for defeating Valentina.
As he left, he didn’t forget to tell Noah that he could stay as long as he wanted and take whatever he needed.
He realized he had no cards to play against Noah, and since he couldn’t stop him, it was better to go with the flow and be generous.
Marlow’s overly accommodating nature left Noah feeling inexplicably annoyed, but he was just playing the role of a villain, not a truly malevolent evil god.
So he planned to kill some time in the room before leaving.
“Sigh… that said, this place is really luxurious. Not to mention the expensive coffee beans and sofas, even the paintings look like works of art. I never expected a pixelated image from the original to be such a high-level artwork.”
As Noah idly looked around the room, he eventually stopped at the left wall, admiring the framed painting and marveling at how he had somehow crossed into a game world.
Although he now had the goal of making Valentina, the game’s heroine, not a slave to the blonde but rather a bad woman who could turn the blonde into a slave.
But such matters wouldn’t take long; perhaps it was time to consider what to do after accomplishing this.
Romance… sounds too troublesome, so forget it for now.
If he had needs, he might as well go to a brothel; he was actually quite interested in brothels, and helping the girls forced to work there take revenge sounded good too.
But it probably wouldn’t be as complicated as Valentina’s situation, after all, Valentina was the true heroine of this world.
“…By the way, it’s so noisy outside. What’s going on? Is it infighting?”
Since earlier, there had been faint sounds of chaos coming from outside, and rather than fading with time, it only grew louder, so Noah couldn’t pretend he hadn’t heard.
He complained while turning to look at the room’s door.
He was contemplating whether to check the situation; if it was infighting among villains, he would just watch from the sidelines, but if it was a girl captured by the villains trying to escape, he might lend a hand.
In the next moment, the door to the room was violently smashed open from the outside, flying straight toward Noah’s head.
Fortunately, Noah calmly tilted his head to the side, narrowly avoiding it, with the wind from the door only messing up his hairstyle.
“…That’s really exaggerated. If it weren’t for me, someone would definitely be seriously injured.”
Feeling helpless about the intruder’s violence, Noah leisurely commented, then sized up the person who had burst into the room.
“Wait a minute, you…”
Noah had originally thought that even if Valentina had come looking for him, he wouldn’t be surprised.
—
But when he took a closer look at the person in front of him, he froze.
It was a woman dressed in a black nun’s habit, her snow-white hair streaked with a hint of pink, and her voluptuous figure was completely unhidden even by the ascetic attire. From the side slit of her habit, one could even catch a glimpse of some alluring black stockings and knee-high black boots.
She appeared to be around the same age as Valentina, though slightly older, with striking pink eyes filled with coldness, and a pretty face that bore a hint of severity. In her left hand, she held what seemed to be a firearm, while her right hand clutched a grimoire for casting spells, presenting herself as a battle nun skilled in both physical and magical combat.
Though she was an impressive white-haired nun with a mature aura, that alone wouldn’t have shocked Noah.
The problem was, Noah recognized her!
That’s right, he would never forget!
He couldn’t mistake this nun, who looked explosively alluring, for anyone else!
Wasn’t she the protagonist Clotilde from the other erotic RPG, “Forbidden! The Fallen Nun Clotilde”!?
Why was she here!?
Could it be that the worlds of these two games were interconnected!?
How did he not know about this!?
