Chapter 77
Chapter 77 – A Nightmarish Rescue
Bai Yongwei went through a great effort to investigate this matter, but there was really no trace of it. The friend who took Ji Xue was a famous socialite and many people in the circle had played with her.
As for the report of drugs, it was a gang feud. Everything was so coincidental. one could only say that Ji Xue deserved bad luck.
“You should go abroad for a period of time first.” In desperation, Bai Yongwei had to send her away.
Ji Xue did not agree. “I don’t want to. I don’t want to go abroad alone!”
“Do you want to go to school and be pointed at every day?” Bai Yongwei was furious. “It’s not that you won’t come back. You’ll go for a year and a half at most. We’ll wait until everyone forgets about it.”
Seeing that she was still reluctant, Bai Yongwei’s voice became cold. “Otherwise, let your father handle it, and then maybe you will never come back.”
“I’ll go!” Ji Xue gritted her teeth and replied. “But I have to choose my own place.”
It was already half a month when A Miao found out that Ji Xue was sent abroad—Shen II revealed it to her intentionally or unintentionally. At the same time, Shen Xinglan had also found out some new information.
“Ji Yan has dealings with gangsters?”
Shen III nodded. “He seems to be dealing with someone.”
“Boss, is it for us?” Shen II asked and then denied it. “I don’t think so. He had looked for a killer before. He should know that those gangsters are not enough to deal with Boss.”
The slender fingers of the Shen Xinglan rested on the back of the chair. “Watch those people closely and see who they want to target on.”
“Also, the two managers of Ji Yan’s office are getting dishonest these days.” Shen II handed a copy of the information to Shen Xinglan. “They have cleaned up the whole department and replaced them with their people.”
“He moved very fast.” Shen Xinglan snorted. “Let him handle the development of the New Seaside District at the end of the year.”
Shen II was somewhat uncertain. “Boss, that project accounts for 60% of our total investment. If we give it to him, what if…”
“He has already talked to me, and his marketing plan is perfect. Even if you don’t give it to him now, everyone will agree to use his plan after the meeting.”
Shen III thought for a moment and said, “Boss deliberately let him!”
“Humph…” Shen Xinglan looked out of the window, opposite him was City S’s landmark, the pearl tower, a towering spire upright into the sky. Everything was unstoppable.
Looking back, he squinted. “I don’t have the patience to play with them anymore. He took the initiative to save me trouble.”
“Boss, our people are still following Ji Xue over there!”
Shen Xinglan’s eyes sank. “Continue to follow her, but be careful of Bai Yongwei, she will certainly send someone over.”
“Understood.”
On Friday, A Miao was about to leave school when a man ran past her and grabbed her schoolbag.
“Ah! What are you doing?” she shouted and chased after him.
She did not know whether it was intentional or not. He took her bag and walked around the crowd, as if he was playing with A Miao. When she reacted incorrectly, she found that she had entered the alley behind the school.
“What do you want to do?” She was an idiot if she did not know if that man did it on purpose.
It was a man with a ferocious face. He looked around and saw no one, then threw her schoolbag on the ground. “You will know immediately what I want to do.”
“Eldest brother, although this girl is ordinary, she is still a college student. Let your brothers have some fun.”
She did not know where the three men had entered from and blocked the corner. One of them looked at A Miao with a dirty smile on his face.
The man who had led A Miao over spat in contempt. “Don’t give me troubles, do it now!” he said as he took a rope from his pocket.
“Then I’ll be responsible for holding her chest!” A smiling man reached his hand out to A Miao, while the other two grabbed her arms with malicious intent.
A Miao retreated to the corner, shouting for help while trying to maneuver. She knew that if she did not show up after some time, Shen II would come for her. If she could only hold on for a while, she would be saved!
“Who made you come? If it’s for money, I can give it to you.”
The eldest sighed. “We know you have a rich fiance, but what if he doesn’t give you any money? Are you still able to buy your own life?”
“What do you mean?” A Miao trembled with fear, but she still stood up straight and stared at the people in front of her.
The guy with a smile on his face said, “Who told you to climb up a high branch? Now people think you are in the way. Gee, you are really pitiful to be killed by your fiance.”
A Miao did not believe half the sentence. But now it was too late as the rope would soon be set around her neck.
“Boom!” The guy standing on the left suddenly plunged to the ground.
The eldest brother paused. “Second Dog?”
The man named Second Dog did not move.
“Fuck, who are you scaring to, boy?” The other one gave him a kick, but he did not respond.
The eldest felt that something was wrong and squatted down to help him. As a result, he just pulled him to sit up and saw the two younger brothers opposite him with white faces.
“Eldest… eldest brother.” The grinning man pointed at the back of Two Dog’s head with horror in his eyes. “He… he has a hole in his head.”
“What the fuck are you talking about? How can it…” The eldest brother turned him over, and then his words came to an abrupt end.
He threw the man to the ground. “Fuck, what’s going on?”
Even A Miao clearly saw that there was a fist-sized hole in the back of Second Dog’s head. What scared them was that there was no blood at all, but white things that were flowing out.
“Second Dog is dead!”
Yes, A Miao shivered. She knew those white things, they were human brains…
“Eldest brother, what’s the matter? How did Second Dog get like this?” The two men stood up with stiff limbs and looked at the dark alley.
“Motherfucker! Who?” Their eldest brother’s mouth was calm, but his legs were obviously shaking. “Who the fuck had sneaked attacked us? Get out!”
Just as the words reverberated, a red hole appeared in his chest.
“Eldest… eldest brother…”
The eldest brother looked down and opened his mouth to say something, but he fell to the ground without saying it.
“Ahhh!” One of them suddenly cried out and ran to the alley entrance.
“Huang Mao, where are you going?” The other stretched out his hand to grab his companion, only to see his head on the ground and his eyes bulging out, looking at him.
Looking back, Huang Mao just saw this scene. He felt his crotch get cold, and he fell to the ground as if his legs were noodles.
“Help! Help!” He could not help peeing his pants and kept crawling because he couldn’t stand up.” As he was about to enter the alley, he suddenly saw a man standing in front of him with something in his hand.
“I… my ass?” He felt something hanging in midair that was very familiar. He turned to look at it, then his head tilted and did not move.
A Miao looked at the man who was divided into two halves, her teeth chattering while kneeling on the ground. The shadow moved slowly, and she bit her lips and lowered her head to not see anything.
Maybe in the next second, her head would be unscrewed.
“The smell of Shen.”
Some hoarse and cold voice resounded above her head. In the next second, A Miao’s vision turned, and she was carried on his shoulder and disappeared in the alley in just a few steps.
At that time, Shen II was looking for her in the school, and then he received a phone call from one of his bodyguards.
“I know, you go back first.”
Hanging up the phone, he immediately called Shen Xinglan.
“Boss, the young lady was taken away by Ding V.”
At the Shen family villa, when Shen Xinglan came back, he saw A Miao’s eyes glazed over in the corner. On the sofa of the sitting room, a man was sitting dressed in black.
“Did you kill in front of her?”
The man on the sofa slowly turned his head, looked at Shen Xinglan, and looked at A Miao, who was going to faint.
“She didn’t die. She was scared.”
Shen Xinglan rubbed his brows and walked over. “A Miao, it’s me, Shen Xinglan.”
“Shen… Shen Xinglan…” A Miao’s sight gradually gained focus. She stared at Shen Xinglan for a while and then cried like a child.
Shen Xinglan had entered to see her frightened face, his heart already feeling uneasy. He had organized a long while how to comfort her. He just wanted to speak, as he saw A Miao’s eyes rolled, and she passed out…
“Do you like her?” Ding V did not know when they got together.
Shen Xinglan’s ugly face got darker. “Shut up, I’ll settle with you later.”
Looking at Shen Xinglan, who picked up the woman and took her upstairs, Ding V turned around and asked Shen III, “Who is that woman?”
“I…”
“I’ll make a hole in you if you don’t tell me.”
Shen III said nothing.
A Miao thought she had been killed and her dreams were riddled with blood. When she opened her eyes in horror, she saw Shen Xinglan staring at her.
“Ahem…” Unexpectedly, she suddenly opened her eyes, and Shen Xinglan raised her upper body to prop her up straight. “You’re awake.”
“Shen Xinglan!” A Miao suddenly grabbed his hand. “I saw the devil, a lot of blood, he…”
Shen Xinglan took her by the shoulders and used some effort to calm her down. “That’s my friend.”
“…”
A Miao looked at him blankly. “Who… who is your friend?”
“The one who saved you.”
“Saved me?” A Miao remembered that some people had been trying to kill her. But… no, in the end, those people were killed by someone else!
“No, someone…”
“That’s him.” As soon as Shen Xinglan had finished speaking, the door opened.
Ding V walked in hazily, holding a tray in his hand and placing it in front of A Miao. “Calm down.”
“…”
Shen Xinglan was also speechless.
“I didn’t scare her.” Ding V frowned. “Why does she black out again?”
Looking at the bowl of blood-red soup, Shen Xinglan grabbed Ding V by the collar and dragged him out.
“I just said, this is my friend Ding V. He saved you today.”
In the dining room, the pale-faced A Miao was sitting there, looking at the man in front of her who gave her a gentleman’s salute, just wanting to faint again.
“He just served you tomato soup, which he likes best.” Shen Xinglan looked away from A Miao.
At this time, the little woman stared at him with big wet eyes which could make any man want to take care of her. He almost held her in his arms.
“Thank you… thank you for saving… for saving me.” A Miao stammered because although the process was brutal, someone had brought her back.
