GIVE YOU MY HEART [BL]

Chapter 57: BIRTHDAY DINNER

-Haruka POV-

"I told you, didn't I? I love you, that's why." Levi said, looking at me in the eyes, but then I avoided it.

"You shouldn't say something like that in public like this." I answered, looking away from him.

"Why not? There's only us here, and everyone is enjoying the party right now. They wouldn't hear us." Levi said it with that mischievous smile of his. This jerk.

"Hear what?" A voice that spoke up out of nowhere shocked us, especially Levi. Tch. Served you right. Both my brother and my parents were present.

"Hanaka nii-san, father and mother. You're all here too." I said with a smile.

"Of course we are. Just a bit late. I need to assist our father in performing an urgent surgery. Btw, happy birthday, Charles. I didn't expect we'd be celebrating your birthday here this year. Father said Mr. Levi Ackerman here planned everything." My brother said, looking at Levi with a serious look.

"You didn't do anything weird to my brother, did you?" My brother looks Levi in the eyes. This is not good. He's sometimes overprotective when it comes to me.

"Chris, you shouldn't say something like that to the next heir of the Ackerman Group. Sorry about that, Mr. Ackerman." My father interrupted. Huh. Saved.

"Your father's right. Haru-chan, tanjoobi omedeto!" My mother said that and hugged me tightly.

"Mother, I can't breathe." I said that, trying to push my father gently.

"Ara. Gomen ne (I'm sorry), Haru-chan. What do you want for your birthday present? I looked up for that, but I still didn't know what to give you." My mother said that with a sad face.

"I told you, didn't I? You guys don't have to give me anything. I'm not a kid anymore. Mattaku." I sighed. Seriously, I didn't need any presents.

"Even if you said that, I'm still going to give you one. I know, how about a vacation package for two? You can go there with Levi. Kyaa!" My mother said it enthusiastically. Seriously, what is she thinking right now?

"Mother, you shouldn't do that. Why would Haruka go there with Levi Ackerman instead of our family members?" My brother protested. I look at Levi, and he is just smiling.

"Ara. Hanaka onii-chan, father and mother already arrived. Then, let's take a photo together, everyone!" Hanabi said so excitedly, dragging me and the others to the center of the room.

"Okay, everyone. Say cheese!!!"

SNAP! SNAP!

Hanabi ran towards the camera.

"Perfect! I'm going to send this to everyone later." She said that with a smile, then went back to where Lauren was.

"Levi, thank you for celebrating Haruka's birthday like this. I've just been talking with your grandfather. Why don't you join us for tonight's dinner? Further celebration of Haruka's birthday." My grandfather invited Levi. Wait, seriously?

"I'm sorry, Dr. Auclair, am I not going to disturb your family dinner if I tag along?" Levi tried to refuse, but I know deep down he wanted to join.

"Oh, don't worry, our family is very welcoming, you see. Right, Hanae?" My grandfather asked for my mother's opinion, but actually, it looks like they're working together to have Levi join us.

"Of course! You should come with Haruka tonight, hahaha." And my mother just made it worse.

"Why should I..."

"Haru-chan, you're the closest one with Levi. So you can come together with him later."

//SKIP//

So now, here we are. Auclair Main Residence. We'll be having dinner here. We just entered the house, and not everyone has arrived yet.

"Look who we have here. Levi Ackerman and Haru-chan, coming together." Who else if it's not my sister, Harumi.

"I just did what our mother asked me to. It's been a while, Brother Nicholas." I greet Harumi's husband.

"Right. Happy birthday, Haruka. And it's been ages since I last saw you, Levi Ackerman." Brother Nicholas said to Levi, extending his hand.

"Right, Mr. Evans. It's been 10 years, I guess." Levi shakes his hand.

"Wait, do you two know each other?" My sister asked, and I wanted to know that too. I didn't expect this.

"Of course. But it's been 10 years. When he was still working in the US, I met him. I guess I'll talk to you later. I need to greet others first." Brother Nicholas said so and left. Right. Levi worked with his uncle in the US before transferring here.

"Levi Ackerman? Are you perhaps the Levi Ackerman Mrs. Garcia was talking about?" Aveline suddenly spoke. I guess like a mother, like a daughter, people said.

"Ah, yeah, I'm Levi Ackerman. And who might this beautiful little angel be?" Levi asked Aveline.

"I'm Aveline Claire Evans. Uncle Charles' favourite niece." She grinned.

"Ah, I see. Then, I'm Levi Ackerman, your Uncle Charles' favourite boss. So, how did you know Mrs. Gracia?" Levi said that playfully, and I know he's teasing me right now.

"I went to Manhattan Liberty Private School. Mrs. Garcia often talked about Levi Ackerman. She said he's the smartest kid, but he always talked back to her. But she said Levi Ackerman is the most talented kid among all." Aveline said so excitedly.

"Wow. I'm so touched. How's she doing? I bet her hair is turning white already." Levi chuckled.

"You're right. She already has a lot of white hair growing." Aveline chuckled too. She's surprisingly easy to get along with Levi.

"Right. It's been a long time already, of course she's getting old and me too, getting older. Send my regards to Mrs. Garcia, will you?" Levi said that to Aveline.

"Will do! I'm going to tell everyone I met Levi Ackerman." Aveline grinned.

"You're that happy you got to meet him, huh?" My sister said, pinching Aveline's nose.

"Of course, I'm going to brag about it to everyone." Aveline said that made me chuckle.

"You really take after your mother, Aveline." I said that out loud.

"What did you just say, Haru-chan?" My sister glared at me.

"Nothing. Look, Hanaka nii-san is here." I tried to change the topic and made my way towards the dining hall, with Levi following behind.

"Haru onii-chan is here. Levi also. Come on, everyone is waiting for you." Hanabi grabbed my arm and dragged me to the dining room. She even calls Levi by his first name now.

"Happy birthday, Charles!" A confetti popped up, celebrating me. Everyone is here, including Oliver's parents.

"Thank you, everyone."

-Levi POV-

"Thank you, everyone." Haruka said that with a beaming smile. I hope I can be one of the reasons for his smile right now.

"Come, sit here. Levi, you can have a seat beside Haruka." Haruka's grandfather spoke.

"Thank you, sir." I said it with a smile and then took a seat beside Haruka.

"Onii-chan, let's blow the candle again." Hanabi said excitedly while holding the cake. This time, it's opera cake.

"Why would you guys buy cake again? We already had cake this afternoon." Haruka spoke.

"Hanabi insisted on buying the cake again. Well, that's fine, since all of the kids are here too. Hanabi went to buy the cake herself." Haruka's grandfather spoke with a smile.

"Right! I went to buy the cake with Levi after work! He even chose the cake for you!" Hanabi spoke out loud, and then she covered her mouth. This kid can be a bit dumb sometimes, I guess. Haruka looks at me with a glare. He doesn't really like it, I guess.

"Well, that aside, let's just blow the candle, shall we? Okay, kids, let's sing a happy birthday song to Uncle Charles together!" Hanabi said that happily, and the kids followed her by doing so.

"Make a wish, Haru-chan." I whispered in his ears, and I could see him glaring at me before closing his eyes.

"Yeay! Now, let's eat!" Hanabi said it with joy. She really is the brightest kid here. And with that, everyone started having dinner.

"Oh, right. I've been hoping to see you in person, Mr. Levi Ackerman. Thank you for letting Harry work at your company. I've been telling him to work at our company though." One of the men spoke. Well, listening to him mention Harry's name, he must be his father then.

"Father, I told you I wanted to work somewhere else for a while. People are going to say I'm getting in through connection." Harry protested.

"Don't mention it, sir. He works for my cousin, btw, and we're lucky to have Harry working with us. He's really good at his job, and of course he'll be the perfect heir in the future. And please, just call me Levi." I said that politely.

"Hahaha. I'm glad to hear that, Levi. You too. Just call me Uncle James outside work." Harry's father said that and then laughed.

"Will do, sir." I replied.

"You said that, but you're still calling me sir." He said that with a smile.

"I'm sorry. I'm just not used to that yet." I gave my awkward smile, and I could hear Haruka trying to hold his laughter. It's funny to see me awkward like this, huh?

"Then Levi, why don't you try to call me mother?" Haruka's mother suddenly spoke.

"Uhuk!"
