Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle

Chapter 212: Zombie Wave ( 13 )

This was certainly a dangerous Zombie, and Shane felt relieved that he had sent Shinja there. If they failed to notice this Hunter Zombie entering the estate, it would surely cause chaos, especially if they were attacked from behind or if it entered the shelter of the non-combatants.

Anyway, Shane decided to take out his Loot Keeper's Timepiece this time. Although stronger zombies might appear later, he felt that he should use it now.

After activating the Timepiece's effect, Shane looted the Hunter Zombie with a hint of excitement in his voice.

[ Do you want to retrieve the loot? ]

"Yes." Shane replied.

[ You have earned 55 Experience Points. ] x2

[ You have earned 3 Reputation Points. ]

[ Loots obtained: Item Upgrade Crystal x2, Zombie Core x5, 500mL Water, Unknown Meat ( Safe ) x5, 100mL Hunter Zombie Blood, Spirit Enhancement Bottle x2, Shadowcloak x1, Silent Strider Boots x1, Hunter's Heart Amulet x1, Great Hunter Bow x1 ] x5

With the activation of the Timepiece, each item was multiplied by five!

He knew very well that these were great items!

He immediately checked these items and realized that they were already Exceptional Items! It means that he only had to use 30 Item Upgrade Crystals each to advance them to the next level, Master Grade!

Without any more hesitation, Shane spent all the required Item Upgrade Crystals since he was able to obtain thousands of Crystals just now.

He was incredibly rich, and he didn't mind spending some of them immediately.

After his upgrade was completed, he checked their current description.

[ Shadowcloak ( Master ): The Shadowcloak is a precious garment woven from the mystical shadows of the night itself. It drapes the wearer in an ethereal veil, granting incredible stealth and invisibility.

[ Unstackable Item ]

Needless to say, Shane immediately wore the Shadowcloak…

However, as soon as he did so, something unexpected happened.

[ Your Master Grade Shadowmeld Tunic's effects have been disabled. ]

"Ahhh…" Shane was shocked as he realized what had happened.

"Unstackable?! Seriously?"

He didn't notice it a while ago, but now that the Unstackable Effect was triggered, he recalled how annoying this effect was!

Similar to other games he had played before, Unstackable Items meant that it could only be stored one by one, or in this case, he could only wear the Shadowcloak if he didn't wear any other upper-body clothing.

Shane wryly smiled after realizing this, but he still wanted to see how it would look on him.

Although he wouldn't get free stats while wearing this, the special effects it had would still compensate for that.

Shane's then unclasped the buckle of his tunic to wear the cloak.

Shane then looked at the Shadowcloak. Its fabric seemed to be dark silk that seemed to be capable of trapping lights…

Shane hesitated for a moment, before shrugged off his tunic, leaving his upper body bare.

As he wrapped the Shadowcloak around himself, it seemed to come alive.

The fabric clung to his skin, melding seamlessly with his flesh.

'Ahhh…' Shane didn't feel scared, but he was a bit surprised that it would do that.

Anyway, it was like wearing shadows—the cloak shifted and flowed, its edges blurring into the air. Shane's face disappeared beneath its hood, his features obscured by an otherworldly veil.

"Awesome…" Shane muttered.

It felt like it wasn't just a cloak—it was a transformation!

The fabric lengthened, cascading down his back like a flowing trenchcoat.

Its folds felt like they were alive as it moved on its own, and Shane felt power surge through his veins. The Shadowcloak was more than mere clothing; it felt like his second skin!

He even had four of them in his inventory!

For sure, Tessa would want this item as someone with Night Assassin Talent!

Shane smiled at this thought as he decided to check the other items.

[ Great Hunter Bow ( Master): The Great Hunter Bow is a masterpiece of precision and power, crafted from the sinew of unknown creatures of the night and the wood of ancient trees. If fired by this bow, each arrow, even common ones, would be accurate!

Effects: +40% Damage, +20% Critical Chance, +25% Range, +15% Reload Speed

Special Effects:

Eagle's Gaze: Grants the archer's enhanced vision to spot weak points on enemies, increasing critical damage against specific targets.

Piercing Shot: Arrows fired from this bow have a chance to pierce through multiple enemies, dealing damage in a straight line.

Cost: 10 Spirit Points ]

"Awesome… The elves and the others would love this…" Shane commented that the Piercing Shot had only 10 Spirit Points. It means that they would be able to use this master-grade skill a lot of times!

[ Silent Strider Boots ( Master ): The pair of Silent Strider Boots are crafted from the hides of elusive dark creatures, imbued with enchantments that dampen sound and leave no trace of their wearer. They allow for swift and silent movement.

Effects: +30% Movement Speed, +20% Stealth, +10% Dodge Chance, +15% Jump Height

Special Effects:

Ghost Walk: This ability grants the wearer temporary intangibility, allowing them to pass through obstacles and enemies for a short duration.

Cost: 100 Spirit Points/5 seconds

Nimble Escape: Increases the wearer's agility and evasion, making them harder to hit in combat situations.

Cost: 45 Spirit Points ]

Shane had several boots already. They were the Survivor Boots from the System Gift, Silent Step Boots from Screamer Zombie, Stalker Boots from the Crypt Crawler Zombies, and other boots he found in the store.

Nonetheless, he liked the Silent Strider Boots, which could provide him with Ghost Walk and Nimble Escape in very tight situations.

Although he already had several life-saving items with him and a strong group of warriors and pets, it wasn't bad having additional safety measures.

As he completed all of this, he planned to see the others' condition, but unfortunately, the second horde had finally arrived!
