chapter 10
10- Professional consultant (2)
#10. Professional Consultant (2)
“Contemplative consultant…?”
It’s the first time I’ve heard that a production company hired a contemplative consultant, and I wondered why a consultant was needed when the script was already out.
In addition, the consultant said that the movie would be ruined, and the lead actor and director were replaced.
Jin Seo-yeon, who liked the scenario so much that she became a direct investor, was in a situation that was embarrassing.
After thinking for a while, Jin Seo-yeon took off her sunglasses and said.
“Are you saying that after looking at the contemplation of the two?”
Jin Seo-yeon’s tone stood a little sharp.
His tone seemed to be mixed with accusations that he made such a judgment based on his contemplation.
At that moment, Ji-hyeok, who checked Jin Seo-yeon’s eyes, was more shocked than she was when he heard that the movie would fail.
‘It is the statue of the phoenix. From the eyes, nose, bow, philtrum, and chin, there is nothing missing… No, is the mouth a bit of a problem?’
While Ji-hyeok admired her contemplation for a moment, a woman who appeared to be Jin Seo-yeon’s secretary approached.
“CEO, the head of the production company asks when you are coming, so what should I do?”
“Say you’ll be leaving soon.”
Jin Seo-yeon looked at Ji-hyeok again and asked.
“Tell me. What was the basis for the film’s failure? If you just spit out nonsense, your consultant contract will be terminated.”
Apart from contemplation, Jihyeok didn’t like her attitude a little.
“I don’t think you will believe me even if I tell you anyway, just forget about it.”
Jihyeok turned around and strode towards the site of the ceremony.
Jin Seo-yeon, who was left alone with the secretary, said to the secretary with a reddened face.
“Secretary Go, I… is that person ignoring me right now? I even revealed that I was Jin Seo-yeon…”
“Ahahahaha, don’t you think you don’t know who the CEO is?”
Secretary Go said that most Koreans do not know who the CEO is, but he managed to endure it.
“Still, if I said I was the CEO of an investment company, you should have known. On the subject of only being a consultant. I need to tell CEO Lucifer Kang to cut it right away.”
“CEO, first of all, take a closer look at who you are…”
“it’s okay. If I cut it, I cut it.”
Jin Seo-yeon moved quickly toward the head of the production company in front of the high school student.
“Dae… CEO!”
***
Kang Hyeon-joong, CEO of ‘Lucifer Film’, who was in charge of producing the movie The King of Contemplation, greeted with a welcome face when the production company representative and the contemplation consultant who had been waiting for him approached almost simultaneously.
“hahahaha, how are you two coming together?”
It was Jin Seo-yeon who spoke first.
“CEO Kang, you said you interviewed a lot of contemplative experts while working on the script for this movie, right?”
“Yes, that’s right. For reality, I listened to expert advice for each line.”
“But why, again, do you need a contemplative consultant for filming?”
“Ah… that’s this guy here…”
Kang Hyeon-joong tried to introduce Ji-hyeok, but Jin Seo-yeon waved his hand.
“I know who he is. By the way, the person who asked for additional investment saying that the production cost would be tight is it okay to waste money on something like this?”
Hyeonjoong Kang sensed that the atmosphere was strange and tried to refute it immediately.
“CEO, that’s not it, he’s…”
“CEO Kang, did you not understand what I was saying? Or are you pretending not to understand? Do you have any personal interests?”
“Ugh, what do you mean? I’m seeing this for the second time too…”
“Good for you. Then there is no problem if we cancel the contract right away, right?”
“That… that’s part of the consulting fee has already been paid…”
Just then, Jihyeok, who had been watching quietly, intervened.
“President Kang, I just quit. We will refund the cost you paid.”
“Ah, master. Why are you doing this to the master? I don’t know what misunderstanding you two have…”
“no. You can’t offend a great investor because of me. If you send me your account number, I will return it right away.”
Representative Kang Hyeon-joong was unable to do this or that, and only his feet were stomping.
“Do… Dosa-nim…”
“Oh, but since we’ve been here, let’s give you some advice.”
“yes? What… what…”
“It doesn’t mean that evil spirits will fall just because food is slickly arranged at the table. The core of the ritual is to burn incense, recite the Taeeulbosingyeong, summon Vajrapani, and pray to him for the extinction of evil spirits. I’m giving you advice that the movie might be in jeopardy, so please fix it now. Enough then.”
CEO Kang grabbed Ji-hyeok as he turned around leaving only his own words to say, but Ji-hyeok eventually left.
Then, CEO Kang, who was slightly heated, turned the arrow of criticism to Jin Seo-yeon.
“CEO Jin Seo-yeon, isn’t this a bit too much even for the biggest investor? How difficult was it for us to recruit him…”
“Hey, CEO Kang Hyeon-joong. Are you angry with me because of just one shaman?”
“That… that’s not it. Isn’t it because you’re not just a shaman? Even if you just sell his name, you can save hundreds of millions of dollars in marketing costs, so why the hell is the CEO of an investment company doing that?”
Jin Seo-yeon asked in an annoyed voice.
“No, who is that person who is making such a fuss?”
“yes? Don’t you know who? You must have walked with me earlier…”
“We just met in front of you. Your name is Jihyeok Kang·······? I think he said…”
“Did you do that while knowing his name?”
“Haa… So, who the hell is that person? Aren’t you just a connoisseur?”
Hyunjoong Kang wiped his face and said as if he was sorry.
“CEO Jin, that person is the current Republic of Korea, this. That famous Cheongdam guru is him.”
Kang Hyeon-joong raised his thumb and spoke exaggeratedly, but Jin Seo-yeon’s face looking at him still showed a puzzled expression.
CEO Hyunjoong Kang beat his chest as if he was frustrated and asked Secretary Go next to him.
“The late secretary, doesn’t the late secretary also know Cheongdam Dosa?”
“yes? You mean the guy in that YouTube Bitcoin video?”
“Look at this, Secretary Go knows. As much as the secretary who only knows work knows half of the people in Korea.”
“Ah, that’s because our CEO has returned to Korea after living abroad for a long time…”
“Whoa… that was the key to marketing this movie…”
the secretary asked.
“By the way… is that person from earlier really the Master of Cheongdam?”
“Because it is.”
“…”
When even the late secretary made a surprised expression, Jin Seo-yeon began to feel frustrated.
Jin Seo-yeon asked.
“Is he that famous?”
“Yes, sir. When Bitcoin was hovering between $7 and $80, a video that foretold the price surge hit millions of views. The important thing is that I only looked at the contemplation and even guessed that the four weeks were different, and I correctly solved the contemplation. Now, even though the one-time consultation fee has risen to 5 million won, they say that the reservation is full until a year later…”
“what? five hundred? So if you get 20 customers a day, you mean you make 100 million won?”
“Ah… that’s not the case, I heard that only 8 people are accepted, 4 in the morning and 4 in the afternoon.”
Jin Seo-yeon nodded, then paused and asked.
“But, how does Secretary Go know that so well?”
“That… well, I tried to make a reservation too, but it didn’t work.”
“Anyways, are you saying I just blew up the opportunity to mobilize the best contemplative artist in Korea for marketing?”
Jin Seo-yeon turned her head and looked at Kang Hyun-joong.
“President Kang, if there is such a situation, you should have told me in advance.”
Hyunjoong Kang replied with an unfair expression on his face.
“I was going to tell you, but didn’t the CEO keep interrupting me?”
“That’s not it, you should have reported it in writing beforehand.”
“Our production company is not a Plex Media subsidiary, so what are we reporting? I was going to introduce you as a surprise if you came today, but the CEO ruined everything.”
Jin Seo-yeon, desperate for an answer, admitted her mistake unexpectedly quickly.
“I made a mistake.”
“Whew… I’ll call you back and ask for a consultation.”
“no. We will solve it on our side, so please pass Kang Ji-hyeok’s contact information to Secretary Go.”

[Vertical Movement Office]
Ji-hyeok, who got out of the scene, the king of contemplation, went straight to Teheran-ro.
“It’s been a while, Mr. Connor.”
“Nice to meet you, Mr. Kang.”
Daniel was a little nervous at the visit of Ji-hyeok, who had not contacted him at all, leaving only the investment and money.
“Mr. Kang, I have prepared a simple investment progress report here.”
An exclamation escaped Jihyeok’s lips as he looked at the report.
“Wow, how amazing is that?”
Jihyeok roughly guessed how much money he had earned, but he couldn’t help but be surprised when he faced the right number.
[Investment progress report]

– Investment period: 141 days
– Future outlook: A correction is expected for construction stocks that formed a boxed range.
* Position clearing is considered desirable.
* A surge of interest in cryptocurrency on Wall Street.
* Bitcoin target announced by related analysts is $2,400.
* It is recommended to exit when reaching $2,000.
Twice the return on stocks and more than twelve times the return on Bitcoin.
Although all of the investments Ji-hyeok requested, Daniel and Yu-jin, who had done their job well enough by managing the funds diligently, added their future prospects with their own confidence.
However, Jihyeok’s expression while reading the report happily was a little distorted when it came to the future prospects.
“Can you tell me why you judged the future prospects this way?”
Daniel answered.
“As you know, construction stocks have already entered a correction phase and are expected to decline for some time. It is a common opinion among stockbrokers that the government recognizes the real estate measures as a failure.”
“You predicted that Bitcoin would rise further.”
“In the case of Bitcoin, it is a bit difficult to judge because the only indicator that can be referenced is the amount of purchases accumulated on exchanges in each country, but I think it will easily rise twice as much if you jump in from Wall Street. However, since it is a market with high volatility, we set the exit amount as conservatively as possible.”
“That’s a plausible enough prediction.”
Daniel’s expression softened slightly.
“Are you saying that Mr. Kang thinks differently?”
“To start with the conclusion, I want you to keep the builder and sort out the bitcoin right away.”
A situation in which his analysis was directly refuted.
Daniel’s face went red.
“…what on earth did you look at and make that judgment?”
“It will be hard to understand. Would you like to listen anyway?”
Daniel replied with a desperate expression.
“Please.”
“Nothing great. I didn’t look at charts or trends, I just looked at people and judged them.”
“A person… a horse?”
“For example… something like this. Among the people I know, there is a person who works for the Ministry of Construction and Transportation. He was the one who helped draft the bill related to real estate measures.”
“As expected… he had connections in a high-ranking position…”
Jihyuk smiled and said.
“You might think so. But, he didn’t give me any great information. I just happened to find out that he was about to be promoted.”
Of course, it was expected after seeing the contemplation and fortune telling, but it was difficult to explain it to Daniel.
Daniel tilted his head and asked in response.
“What does that have to do with the construction game…”
“If the government thinks real estate policies have failed, will they promote the staff involved in those policies? In fact, there is no reason to sell construction stocks even if that is not the case. Local elections will be held soon, but there is no way the ruling party will leave the real estate market as it is.”
Only then did a short exclamation escape from Daniel’s mouth.
“Ah… then, why Bitcoin…?”
“Um… the biggest reason is that the person who made the decision to invest in Bitcoin told me the exit point.”
“You mean that now?”
“that’s right.”
“You know a great man. To know Bitcoin in advance…”
“In fact, I would have organized it even if it wasn’t him. You probably know that Korea is the hottest place in the world where the Bitcoin craze is blowing.”
Daniel nodded.
“The Korean government wants market funds to flow into real estate. However, Bitcoin is absorbing market funds like a black hole. Will the government just watch this situation?”
“ah······.”
“I think it may be due to the influence of Bitcoin that construction stocks are now in an adjustment phase in the first place. finally······.”
“Are you saying there are more reasons?”
“Recently, I came across a report that the security problems of Bitcoin exchanges are serious.”
“That’s because exchange operators are still small… won’t it be resolved soon?”
Jihyeok smiled again and said.
“Mr. Connor, will the villains know about such a loophole and just let it go?”
Suddenly, Daniel felt his head heat up.
‘I was… so naive. I was mistaken as if I knew everything just by looking at the chart…’
Daniel was overcome with a sense of defeat, but he did not abandon his sense of responsibility.
“Mr. Kang, I will clean up the bitcoins you mentioned right now.”
Ji-hyeok, who unintentionally started doing investment consulting, was finally able to bring out the real purpose of his visit.
“Good. Please keep half of it in Korean won and transfer the other half to this account.”
Daniel, who received the memo, smiled and asked.
“Mr. Kang, I don’t have a name for the account holder. And with this amount, there could be a gift tax problem, so you have to tell us about the relationship…”
Jihyeok said with a sad expression.
“Isaiah Callie Cohen. You are my mother.”
