God’s Perspective

Chapter 4: Classes and Level Up

As he prayed, he felt a throbbing headache intensify with each consecutive prayer. He managed only four prayers before he knew he’d collapse if he pushed any further.

Suddenly, a notification appeared before him:

Announcement
“The God of Imagination sees your trials. Each prayer channels the essence of your spirituality, and as your strength grows, so too can your prayers. Though not perilous, excessive invocation may bring fatigue. To aid you on your journey, I bestow upon you 282 Quarks. Use them wisely to delve deeper into this realm.”

Brennan’s astonishment at the god’s intervention was palpable. The relief of no longer needing to pray, coupled with the realization that his prayers had direct consequences on himself, left him both amazed and perplexed. He glanced at his balance once more, and his eyes widened as he saw the updated total. With the 14 Quarks he had initially, 80 Quarks earned from his repeated prayers, and the generous 282 Quarks granted by the God of Imagination, his total now stood at a precisely 300 Quarks.

With this newfound total, Brennan felt a surge of hope. He navigated back to his user info screen, his heart pounding with anticipation. He tapped the plus button next to his XP bar, signaling the beginning of a crucial transformation.

A prompt appeared, confirming his intent to convert the 300 Quarks into XP. Brennan’s excitement grew as he clicked “Yes,” watching as the system processed the conversion. The screen flickered briefly, and then his stats were updated.

As Brennan pondered which class to choose, his granddaughter suddenly gasped, her eyes wide with excitement.

"Look! I can use magic!" she exclaimed, holding up her hands in wonder.

Brennan, momentarily pulled away from selecting a class, opened his eyes to look at his granddaughter with concern. A mix of confusion and worry filled his voice as he asked, "What did you do?".

"I accepted the Saintess class, and now look!" she replied, her face beaming with pride. She reached into the air and produced a thick tome, its cover a rich brown adorned with gold and white embroidery. Mystical symbols and intricate designs decorated the edges.

With a flick of her wrist, the tome floated gracefully in front of her. It opened by itself, pages turning until it settled on a specific section. The book hovered there momentarily before she gently caught it in her hands again.

"See, this is me," she said, her voice filled with wonder as she pointed to a detailed illustration on the page.

Brennan stared in awe at the magical display, his mind racing with the implications of this newfound power. The transformation in his granddaughter was nothing short of extraordinary.

From his vantage point high above, Paul observed the unfolding events within a particular family. His gaze, focused and analytical, took in every detail. Recognizing the importance of sharing knowledge about his system, he decided to intervene subtly. Reaching into his reserves, he sacrifice some of his quarks. This would allow them to experience and understand the system's potential firsthand.

In this critical phase, Paul chose Eliza, a child of innocence and grace, to serve as both saintess and more importantly, a beta tester. Her role was crucial: she would evaluate whether remote access to the system could function effectively without his direct involvement by creating the book she held. Maintaining its existence already strained his authority over creation and imagination. He needed to find a way to make it real and tangible to ease his burden. All he could do was compromise and continuously channel divine energy to sustain it. He needed a solution that would allow others to access the system as seamlessly as he intended.

Eliza's journey was more than just testing the system; as a saintess, she was essential in showcasing its capabilities to the villagers, demonstrating how it could provide food, medicine, arms for defense, and more. This deepening of their faith in him would not only strengthen their trust but also ensure a constant flow of divine energy to support his efforts. Furthermore, as a beta tester, she would evaluate the system's effectiveness and ease of use, paving the way for future development and innovation that would further benefit the community.

Paul realizes that worshippers are limited by their spirituality. He cannot force them to pray in succession, as this would lead to exhaustion and fainting. Unless their spiritual strength increases—like that of mages or warriors—their spirituality won't grow. An ordinary person can typically pray only four to six times a day before becoming exhausted, while hunters have greater resilience and can manage at least eight prayers before reaching their limit.

If I can help them level up to 10, their spirituality will increase, allowing them to pray at least ten times.

My only options for gaining more divine energy are to attract more followers or enhance their power.
