Chapter 105: Pouting Bird.
The night came to an end and what a night it was, Nate did an excellent job managing the rest of the night as he not only held his own but coordinated the operation.
He was yet to be informed about Kyle's plan to have him watch over the place.
He thought this was him carrying out his job as Kyle's assistant.
He was being paid a lot of money so he didn't mind doing this job.
This game changer for Nate but he wondered if Kyle had always been so rich.
There was no way that someone would come into contact with such amounts of money in such a short time.
Maybe he won the lottery? That was the most likely scenario but none of this was his business as long as he was getting paid.
He would soon know how legit this was because it was a new month, he hadn't signed any contract and this job was given to him strictly on a verbal basis.
Nate expected Kyle to give excuses but he had nothing to lose by gambling with this opportunity.

If it didn't go well, he would lose a month of his life, but if it did, he would gain a job that would sustain him in the long run, as he would be able to take care of himself in school, too, without burdening his parents with responsibilities.
Kyle said he could pay him $1,000 every day but they never spoke about it again and Nate knew he most likely meant monthly.
$30,000 monthly would be life-changing because it would tackle most of his financial burden.
Though he had his account details so Nate expected an alert but once again, something in him felt this was too good to be true.
There had to be a catch but he checked his phone after an hour of waking up, he tried his best to resist checking it for as long as possible because his heart was thumping.
He was expectant but didn't want his expectations to be too high or that could ruin the rest of his week.
"What?" Nate muttered to himself, his jaw-dropping like an 80s sitcom character.
There it was, $40,000 sitting in his bank account, Kyle had added a bonus for the additional job done but there was a memo attached to the transfer congratulating him on his promotion to manager in the just launched Nightclub, but the payment he had received was for the work he had done so far.
He was not only overpaid but this showed him that Kyle did come from money.
"AHHHHHH!" Nate screamed at the top of his lungs in disbelief.
"SHUT THE FUCK UP!" His neighbor responded and Nate realized that the walls in this place were paper thin and quickly clamped his mouth shut.
If anything, he could start looking into getting a new place so he can leave this shithole.

A new day began and Kyle woke up with the doorbell ringing, he wanted an off day to himself.
The social events and interactions had drained his social battery.
He spoke to Aiysha earlier that week about fixing the pipes through the building and that would most likely mean his apartment needed to be reworked.
Kyle was fine with this even though he knew it was a minor hindrance but necessary.
This ruled out Aiysha from being the one so it had to be Jones or at least that's who he narrowed it to.
Kyle didn't bother with a shirt and walked towards the door with black shorts hanging around his waist.
The gym was paying off as his body became more defined even though one has to squint to see the gains.
But he had set boundaries with Aiysha even though he was still fighting with his desires.
That was normal because the most important thing was to keep it tamed.
Kyle opened the door without checking who it was, it was Calista.
Kyle wasn't expecting her and she should still be shooting her movie.
She shouldn't be here but Kyle couldn't turn her away because of his relationship with her.
He opened the door and flashed a broad smile but Calista was in a foul mood.
"Is something wrong?" Kyle questioned but Calista didn't give a response, crossing her arms.
"Do you want to come in?" Kyle questioned, moving aside in the process.
Calista walked right in without saying a single word and Kyle rolled his eyes.
He assumed it had to do with last night and how he left her stranded but the thing about this was that she didn't even inform him that she was coming there.
Kyle knew what she could do was limited because he could easily dispose of her if she overstepped her boundaries.
She sat on the couch and Kyle walked up to her but he didn't say anything.
He just stared at her, Calista was pouting and he found this cute.
"Where did you go last night?" Calista questioned and it was just like he thought.
"I went home, where else would I be?" Kyle responded.
"Alone?" Calista asked and that was when Kyle realized what this was about.
She must have seen him leave the nightclub with Jane and Ella.
"Do you see anyone here?" Kyle questioned, dancing around the question.
Calista didn't say another word, instead choosing to continue pouting.
"Now that you say it, I think I remember leaving with a few girls," Kyle said and he could feel Calista's body stiffen like she was hoping he wouldn't admit it.
"Is that a problem?" Kyle asked but Calista knew that she might have made a mistake.
She didn't know Kyle would admit to it, she expected him to deny it because this response put her on the spot.
"Calista, I asked a question and you better answer," Kyle sounded irritated and Calista knew at that moment that he had managed to flip the table on her.
And how she responded would determine the nature of their relationship going forward.
