Hero System! Transported to Another World

Alex looked confused at Ryan and questioned, "Another reason?" He looked around to see that everyone seemed to be serious when the reason for Hana being attacked came up. 

Ryan nodded and looked at Alex, "Hana's past is special and she is connected to who we assume is behind these recent experiments. That's why I gave her the mission for investigation. Our new theory is that Buse, The scientist that Hana is searching for is working under the man behind these mind control events." 

Still confused, Alex looked around the room. 'I'm still new to all of this. Many things that I don't understand. But It does seem like they are sure of who the scientist was from that Log I read this morning. He seems to have some form of connection to Hana from everything that I've heard and it doesn't seem like a friendly one, Hana looked like she hated him to his gut… I'll remember his name, If I want to be of help to Hana in any way possible, I'll need to remember her enemies names.' Alex looked determined.

Ryan noticed Alex's confused expression and laughed, "Don't worry. You still don't know that much about this place so something that might look obvious to us might be confusing to you." He took a deep breath and continued, "Hana's relation with that scientist is something that all of us in this room know of. So for us, It's obvious but you don't know it yet so your confusion is understandable. I want to talk about that but I don't think Hana would be happy. It's her past and I think it'd be best if she told it to you instead of us. But I can say that The reason she was attacked was probably the scientist's way of saying that he was still alive and kicking. Probably trying to anger Hana more." Alex started to understand more about the situation of Ryan's words. 

Master Zhun looked at Midnight and said, " It's your turn to explain. Tell us everything that happened after the gate appeared." 

Midnight looked at Alex and nodded, She then stood up and explained, "After we returned from the meeting, We kept an eye out for Alex. Buster and I were already briefed that Hana might not be available for a few more days so the two of us had to keep an eye out for Alex while he was outside of the apartment. That's when the gate appeared. It was an ordinary C class Gate, nothing more. Alex seemed to have gotten the notification and ran towards the gate as Buster and I watched. It was fun watching Alex battle those Reapers. He did get hurt a couple of times and we even wanted to run and help but He seemed to have handled on his own and cleared the gate. That's when we were in for a shock. I would have kept this a secret from other Awakened but this should be something that should be told to Master Zhun so I hope you don't mind Alex." Midnight looked at Alex with a small smile. Alex already knew what Midnight was about to talk about so he shook his head and said, "It doesn't matter if it's shared with Master Zhun or Ryan." 

Midnight smiled and continued to explain, "That was the moment when buster and I were genuinely confused. Alex had two Arrow wounds. We were about to go and check up on him but we noticed that two green lights were illuminating Alex at the spots where he had been injured…" 

"WHAT??" Master Zhun's voice surprised everyone. He seemed to have lost composure and looked at Alex with a confused gaze. He then coughed and said, "I apologize. But the entire thing sounded so unrealistic that I was surprised." He looked at Ryan and said, "You know what this means, right Ryan?" 

Ryan nodded and Looked at Alex, "indeed, Green illumination over the injured body part points to one conclusion, Healing abilities. So not only is Alex a close ranged fighter but a healer as well. I guess the thing about people from other worlds crossing over to our worlds being special and having amazing abilities is true…" Ryan looked impressed. 

Master Zhun nodded and looked at Alex, "You don't know but Healing abilities are a very rare type of abilities. They come in only a few awakened so for you to have it is something extremely special. It's more effective than actual medical procedures but requires a lot of the Healer's energy to be used up. So if there are emergencies, Healers are obliged to come and help the Bureau…" 

Alex nodded and smiled, "I completely understand that but the problem is that I don't know the powers I have yet… My healing seems to only work on myself. Granted I haven't tried to heal others but it just didn't feel like I could go around and heal others…" Alex wanted to say that he would help but he also knew that some of his abilities had to be hidden. 'I wish I could have kept the healing a secret. I know that such an ability could save tonnes of lives but it can also be easily taken an advantage of so I won't use it until it is severely necessary. Now, all that I can do is act like I don't know this power and I only just started to figure it out. My other fear of being suspected because of the powers I have can be explained to them because I came from another world but still, I need to be more careful.' 

Master Zhun smiled and replied, "No need to be worried about that, It's still amazing that you have healing abilities. I'll send someone to you once things start to ease up to help you learn more about healing. If you can heal yourself, you can probably do the same to others." Alex smiled and nodded when he heard Master Zhun. 

Ryan looked at Midnight and said, "You can continue." Midnight nodded and explained everything that had happened. She talked about how the gates evolved and how reapers who had crystals on their chest came out of the gate. She also explained the results of the experiment that Sir Fire had performed on the crystal.
