Heroine Hunter

Chapter 16

The tentacles which held Emilia’s limbs moved slightly, causing her body to shift as well. Her large breasts swayed within her clothes like ripe fruits.

“Ugh…”

“Priestess!”

I stood with my knife ready, guarding her from the remaining tentacles.

[This is so humiliating…]

Two thick tentacles wrapped around her slender waist and torso, while four more restrained each of her limbs.

Two tentacles resembled male genitalia and slithered around her as if waiting for the right moment to strike.

Each time they approached Emilia, I swung my knife to ward them off.

‘It acts just like a normal tentacle monster. How is this supposed to help?’

The two tentacles continued to inch closer to her chest.

Worried that she might get hurt, I put away my knife and tried to block them with my hands.

Smack!

Every time the tentacles advanced, I slapped them away.

I repeated this dozens of times.

Smack!

“Ah!”

Emilia tightly shut her eyes.

Oops.

I accidentally slapped her chest instead of the tentacle.

Boing. Boing.

Her chest jiggled.

Honestly, her breasts were so large that I wanted to say it wasn’t entirely my fault.

If an insurance adjuster evaluated the situation, they’d probably assign 80% of the blame to me, but I’d argue for an 8:2 split.

I do have some conscience after all.

“My apologies, priestess.”

“N-No. It’s okay.”

But then, the two tentacles that had been persistently pestering us suddenly recoiled as if they were scared.

“Huh?”

“Mr. Castoloni, look! Something changed!”

“It seems so.”

Exhausted from fending off the tentacles, I wiped the sweat off my brow and breathed heavily.

“I’m sorry, Mr. Castoloni. It’s all because of me…”

“It’s not your fault, priestess. Who could have known something like this would appear here? The creature seems hesitant now, so I’ll try lighting a fire with the matches we found. Maybe it’ll flee if we bring fire near it.”

“Thank you… And sorry again…”

To be honest, I wasn’t sure if fire would have any effect on something that couldn’t be cut with a knife, but we needed a fire anyway, so I decided to prepare it regardless.

I began gathering dry leaves and small branches next to her.

Just as I was about five steps away, Emilia called out to me.

“Um… Mr. Castoloni? It’s moving again…”

The two tentacles that had retreated were now slowly creeping back toward her.

I rushed over and waved my hands to shoo them away.

No matter how many times I pushed them back, they relentlessly targeted Emilia’s chest.

They were fast too, making it difficult to block them.

“Huff, huff…”

Still, I desperately tried to fend them off, panting for breath.

Then, a thought struck me.

‘The status window said this thing helps with mating. Wait… is it helping right now?’

I glanced at Emilia’s chest.

Whoa.

Just like Yoo Seol-ha.

Ah! Seol-ha…

She knew how much I liked her chest and would always offer me her nipples right after her morning shower.

‘Focus, Kim Ian. No, Ian Castoloni.’

I shook my head to clear my thoughts.

Regaining my composure, I continued to fend off the tentacles while speaking to Emilia.

“Priestess.”

“Yes?”

“Forgive me for this.”

“…?”

I reached out and gently grabbed one of her breasts.

“Huh? Wh-what, Mr. Castoloni?”

She looked at me with a startled expression while hanging in the air.

I gestured toward the tentacles with a nod.

“Look over there.”

The tentacles slowly recoiled just like before. It retreated as if it was intimidated.

“What?!”

Emilia’s eyes widened in surprise.

I explained to her, “I’m no expert on monsters, but I remember reading somewhere that tentacle monsters fear seeing the female they’ve captured engage with another male. Especially when there’s affection or a sexual connection involved. So, if we do this—”

As the tentacles tried to approach again, I gently squeezed her breast once more.

“Ah…”

Emilia’s face flushed with embarrassment.

The tentacles quickly withdrew.

“They seem to recoil in fear when I do this.”

“Oh…? It really does seem that way.”

Emilia’s face showed a mix of emotions—confusion, embarrassment, and perhaps a slight sense of relief.

So this creature was indeed the one called [Bevic].

The tentacle monster seemed to operate by threatening the male into protecting and mating with the female it captured.

This appeared to be its behavioral pattern.

I continued to gather leaves and branches around Emilia.

“Uh… Mr. Castoloni?”

Each time she called out to me, it meant the tentacles were stirring again.

So I would rush over just like an annoyed wasp and lightly grab one of her breasts.

And just as expected, the tentacles would withdraw, seemingly intimidated.

This happened several times.

Finally, I piled up leaves and twigs near Emilia and attempted to light a fire with the matches.

Strike. Strike.

Most of the matches were damp and wouldn’t ignite.

“Um… Mr. Castoloni?”

“Yes?”

I set down the matches and stood up.

The tentacles remained still.

Emilia had her face flushed. She spoke softly to me.

“I know you’re busy, but… Something feels strange… Is there something happening below me?”

She couldn’t see her lower body clearly due to her breasts.

I looked down at her.

“Ah… Well…”

“W-What is it?”

Some kind of fluid from the tentacles was dissolving her clothes.

“The tentacles are dissolving your clothes. Fortunately, your skin doesn’t seem to be affected…”

Her lower abdomen and the underside of her breasts were now exposed as the fabric rapidly melted away, revealing her smooth stomach and firm underboob.

‘A priestess’s robe with her underboob hanging out… This is insane.’

Just then, the tentacles started moving again.

I quickly grabbed Emilia’s breast, and my thumb brushed against her bare skin—her underwear had already dissolved.

“Ah…”

“Sorry.”

“It’s okay…”

But then…

The tentacles, which had briefly recoiled, began approaching us again.

“Huh?”

“Mr. Castoloni?!”

Panicking, I grabbed both of Emilia’s breasts.

“What?”

When the tentacles didn’t stop, I started gently massaging them instead of just holding them.

Only then did the tentacles retreat back to their original position.

“Sigh…”

Emilia hung her head, clearly shaken.

“It seems the tentacles are getting used to it. I need to start the fire quickly.”

“Ugh… Yes…”

[What should I do? It’s not just that the tentacles are dissolving my clothes… I feel like my body is changing too. Every time Mr. Castoloni touches my chest… It feels too good… What should I do?]

“Priestess, I know this is hard, but stay strong. Remember what we talked about earlier? Stay positive. We can’t give up. I’ll get this fire started.”

Emilia lifted her head with determination.

“Yes! You’re right, Mr. Castoloni!”

The resolve in her eyes reignited as she tried to encourage me in return.

Through the thin black fabric of her priestess robes, I could see her nipples starting to show themselves.

Once it began dissolving, the clothes continued to melt away even without contact from the tentacles. Any more and her areolas and nipples would soon be exposed.

I focused on trying to light the fire again.

Time passed.

“Ah! I almost lit that.”

“Mr. Castoloni?”

Emilia’s voice snapped me out of my focus.

The tentacles, which had remained still for a while, were now slowly approaching again.

Her clothes had melted considerably, leaving half of her chest exposed.

I could see glimpses of her pink areolas and nipples as the afternoon sun shone down on her pale skin.

The curves of her body, which hung from the tentacles, were beyond beautiful—almost divine.

Without hesitation, I reached out and touched her sacred body.

I casually kneaded her soft breasts.

The tentacles recoiled slightly, only to start creeping closer again.

“Mr. Castoloni… They’re coming back. What do we do? Haah!”

I pinched both of Emilia’s nipples between my fingers and rolled them around.

“Mmm… Mr. Castoloni…”

She writhed in the tentacles’ grasp.

The tentacles retreated again.

When I let go, her pink nipples stood erect at their peak.

Without reacting, I turned back to my task, trying once more to light the fire.

Strike—

Failed.

Strike—

Failed again.

A brief puff of smoke gave me hope, but it quickly fizzled out.

Failed again.

Regardless of the tentacles or anything else, we needed fire to survive on this deserted island.

But the matches refused to cooperate, and it was becoming frustrating.

Sigh.

I wiped the sweat from my brow.

Behind me, Emilia spoke.

“Mr. Castoloni, please don’t be discouraged. I’m sure you’ll get the fire going. I believe in you.”

I stood up and approached her.

“Priestess.”

“Yes?”

“What should we do if that creature starts moving again? I already feel guilty for laying hands on your body, Priestess.”

Emilia squirmed slightly and replied, “You don’t need to feel like you’ve sinned. You were trying to save me. But… If next time… The tentacles don’t stop… then…”

Her face turned bright red.

At that moment, the tentacles began slithering toward us once more.

I grasped her chest again, twirling her nipples with my fingers.

The tentacles hesitated briefly, but then crept closer again.

“Forgive me, Priestess.”

“It’s… It’s okay… Ah!”

I bent down and took one of her nipples into my mouth, sucking it gently.

I flicked my tongue around the nipple, licking it.

“Is it working? Are they retreating?”

“Y-Yes. They’re moving back.”

Suck.

I made sure to clean up any saliva left on her nipple before letting go of her chest.

[Oh no… That felt too good. I wish he would’ve kept going… No! Emilia, what are you thinking?]

Without saying a word, I returned to the pile of leaves and attempted to light the fire again.

Strike. Strike. Strike.

Sizzle.

“It worked!”

I placed the match into the pile of dry leaves and gently blew on it.

Soon, smoke rose, and a small fire began to take shape.

“You’re amazing, Mr. Castoloni!”

“Thanks to you, Priestess. Your encouragement helped me. Ah!”

The tentacles started moving again.

I stood up quickly and grabbed Emilia’s breasts before squeezing them roughly.

I pinched her nipples between my fingers, and when that didn’t stop the tentacles, I greedily licked her nipples.

“Ahh!”

The two tentacles retreated slightly, but then, as if enraged, they whipped a nearby tree, cracking it loudly.

Thud.

Sssssss.

Where the tentacle had hit the tree, smoke rose as the bark melted away, leaving a deep groove.

‘This is insane. Is it actually angry? If this is real and not just an illusion, we’re in trouble.’

Meanwhile, the two tentacles advanced toward Emilia’s face, aiming to enter her mouth.

I quickly grabbed them with both hands, holding on tightly.

[Indestructible Body]

The tentacles wrapped around my arms like vines.

Sssssss.

Just like with the tree, my arms started emitting steam.

“Damn… Ugh.”

The sensation was unsettling as the tentacles coiled around my arms.

“No! Mr. Castoloni! Let go! You can’t take any more!”

Emilia thrashed around in distress.

I grimaced and moved closer to her lips.

“Kiss me. Kiss me now.”

Without hesitation, Emilia leaned forward and kissed me.

Our mouths met, and our tongues intertwined.

Her soft tongue explored mine, and it felt surprisingly pleasant.

Honestly, my arms weren’t even in pain—it was more like the sensation of applying a soothing ointment.

Was it because I had activated Indestructible Body?

No, it wasn’t that.

The liquid coming from the tentacles appeared to be strengthening me.

[For unknown reasons, your body is being strengthened.]

[The proficiency of Indestructible Body is rising at an abnormal rate.]

It was clear now.

The tentacles were making me stronger.
