What you just read above is what I call 'forbidden knowledge'. What exactly is this? It is something you cannot fully grasp without going insane. In this knowledge lies a ritual that you can perform.

If you believe you are ready to see a new world and perspective. Then let me give you the instructions for how to use this 'knowledge'.

You want to be in a room with four walls.

Whether you pick the northern wall or not doesn't matter. Choose a wall to be your starting point. Place a mechanical clock on this wall.

Rotate clockwise and place a blank piece of paper on the ground held up on the wall.

Rotate clockwise again and place a pen by the wall.

Rotate clockwise again and place a candle by the wall.

Here is the room:

T is Time. (clock)

K is Knowledge (paper)

I is Inspiration (pen)

? is [redacted] (candle)

What is [redacted]? This is something you will have to decide. Performing this ritual is the process required to plant the seed of your hidden existence.

Light the candle.

Turn off the lights and make the candle the only source of light in the room. (make your entire house lack light)

Now go back to your starting point.

Look at the clock and focus intently on the ticking of the seconds. Meditate for a few minutes and prepare yourself.

Say the words:

'Now I am become Time, the destroyer of worlds.'

Turn to the right.

Say the words:

'Now I am become Knowledge, the creator of worlds.'

Turn to the right.

Say the words:

'Now I am become Inspiration, the explorer of worlds.'

Turn to the right.

Say the words:

'Now I am become [redacted], the [redacted] of worlds.'

Turn to the right.

If the candle goes out. Stop breathing and do not blink! Whatever you do. Make sure you do not blink or breathe for 30 seconds. Make sure to keep an eye on the clock!

Your heart may start to race. If you see shadows surrounding you. Ignore them.

Look at the clock.

If it has stopped working.

You can proceed.

Look at the frozen time. Slowly walk towards the pen. Pick it up and walk towards the piece of paper. Pick it up and walk towards the candle. Lie down on the ground in front of the candle. If it went out from the ritual, ignite it again.

Close your eyes and draw on the paper using the pen without looking at it.

What do you need to draw? You will try to write the time that the clock stopped at. If the clock isn't broken from the ritual. You can use the memorized time from when you completed saying your esteemed name.

Fold the paper a few times and let the flame burn it.

If the lights in your room start to turn on and flash. Do not react. Pretend nothing abnormal is happening. If you start to hear whispers.

If something tries to form a contract with you.

Do not refuse.

Do not accept.

NEVER RESPOND!

Wait five minutes and look at the flickering of the flame.

Blow it out.

You should now be in complete darkness.

Clap your hands and say the word:

'Rewind'

You should be back at your starting position. Everything you just did should be like a dream. It never happened. The clock, paper, pen and candle should be in an untouched state.

The clock should still be ticking.

Pick up the candle and walk around your home.

Illuminate the darkness.

After walking throughout your house. Return to your room. Pick up the paper and pen and draw a symbol that represents your spiritual name.

Place this piece of paper underneath your bed.

You have now declared your hidden existence. A ordinary person would have a brief psychotic break from this ritual. They might hear or see things that aren't there. They might get insomnia and become paranoid.

Thinking that they have opened themselves up to some eldritch horror.

But... you follow the 'Path of Somnus'.

You are no longer an ordinary person.

Every night. While you are sleeping.

You will digest various 'forbidden knowledge'.

Mechanically. This is using the foundation of three other hidden existences to open up a path for you.

You are putting your soul on the line! But who needs a mere soul? You will attain a true existence!
