Chapter 6: Chapter 6
"Just arrived, so the jury's still out on that one," I said, glancing around the room. "It's different, that's for sure."
"Kaichou, how are you related to him?" a beautiful girl with long dark hair, light brown eyes, and glasses asked.
"Tsubaki, this is my brother Alastor, whom I told you about earlier. You should know him by the nickname, King of Rating Games." Tsubaki and all the other girls in the room stared at me, eyes wide with surprise.
King of Rating Games—that's the name given to me by the Underworld because I was unbeatable ever since I started participating in the Rating Game. Although most didn't know my real name, I was popular in the Underworld by my nickname.
In the history of the Rating Game, I was the only one who went solo in almost every match and won without much effort. Because of that, I also had another nickname: The Annihilator.
"Sorry for not recognizing you, Alastor Sitri-sama," Tsubaki apologized with a small bow.
I laughed, the sound echoing in the room. "Hahahahahahaha... No need. And I'm not a Sitri. My name is Alastor. You can call me Alastor, and I'm not Sona's blood-related sibling. I am more like a step-sibling to Sona. Isn't that right, So-chan?"
I didn't mention my surname, Lucifer, because it's not something I can tell everyone. In the Underworld, the surname Lucifer holds significant power, and if forces like the Old Satan Faction knew of my existence, it would be troublesome.
The only ones who know I am a Lucifer are the current Devil Kings, Grayfia, Kuroka, and Sona; other than them, nobody knows.
"Please don't call me, So-chan," Sona said with a small blush.
Tsubaki blinked, processing the information. "I see. My apologies, Alastor."
"No problem," I said, waving off her concern. "I'm here to fit in and learn. No need for formalities."
Sona nodded in agreement. "That's right. Alastor is here to experience the human world and Kuoh Academy. Treat him like any other student."
The girls in the room seemed to relax a bit, their curiosity still evident but less intense. I could feel their eyes on me, assessing and evaluating. It was clear I was an anomaly here, and they were trying to figure out where I fit in their established order.
"So, what's the plan?" I asked, looking at Sona.
"First, we'll get you enrolled officially," Sona said, her tone efficient. "Then, we'll give you a tour of the academy. It's important you understand the layout and the rules. After that, you'll be introduced to rest of Student Council and the rest of the key figures here."
"Sounds good," I replied. "But before that, Serafall give me something, which she told me to give to you."
"She did? What is it?" Sona asked.
I stepped closer, leaning in to kiss her on the cheek. Sona's face turned bright red, and she completely lost her composure.
"W-what was that?" she stammered.
"A kiss. Serafall specifically told me to deliver it to you. I can give you one on the lips if that's what you want," I teased.
Sona glanced around, noticing the murmurs and stares from the other students. "Everyone is looking," she whispered, trying to regain her composure.
"Let them look," I said with a smirk. "It's not every day they see the 'King of Rating Games' in action."
"Please, Al, Don't embarrase me in front my peerage." She said.
I smiled, feeling a mix of amusement and curiosity. Sona was always so composed and elegant, a stark contrast to my childhood self.
Despite my arrogance and lack of empathy back then, which stemmed from the power I inherited from Sukuna, Sona still managed to fall in love with me. It was a mystery I had yet to fully understand.
One of the drawback is lack of empathy, In my childhood, you can say I am pretty like "I don't give a fuck."
From a young age, I was driven, focused solely on mastering my abilities and trying to come up technique to fully master my Lucifer bloodline and Sukuna power.
My early years were characterized by a brutal, "I don't give a fuck" attitude, a demeanor that Serafall and others didn't consider weird because of my lineage(Lucifer bloodline carrier Pride).
I was arrogant, ruthless, and often unkind, showing no mercy to anyone who crossed my path. Yet Sona still fell for me.
Of course, after training and self-control, my personality did change from my childhood.
So going by my formal self, Sona, who was good and elegant since she was a child should be hate me.
It wasn't until Serafall mentioned Sona's feelings that I became aware of them. Confirming it through my system only solidified the reality that this composed, intelligent woman had genuine affection for me.
I was happy not going to lie. Like who wouldn't be.
"Alright, Sona," I said, smirking. "I'll try not to embarrass you."
And one of hobby, I picked along the way is teasing her, It's really fun to watch her reaction.
"Thank you," she replied, visibly relaxing. "Let's get you enrolled officially."
