Chapter 196: Hestia Familia Now Officially Established!

Chapter 196 - Hestia Familia Now Officially Established!

Mahiro gained more than 4,000 reputation points.

This was within his expectations.

To be more precise, one of the purposes of the conflict with Loki was to defend Hestia, and the other was to earn reputation points.

As a result, it did not disappoint Mahiro.

However, there were no surprises either.

"Hestia, let's go register our Familia."

"Alright," Hestia smiled as she walked alongside him toward the guild.

With Loki and Ais having left, the farce had come to an end.

The adventurers returned to their usual activities.

"Mahiro..." Hestia looked up at him then looked down again as though she was unsure how to continue.

"What's on your mind, Hestia?" Mahiro asked.

"You said earlier that you admire the Sword Princess from Loki Familia. Is that true?" Hestia asked tentatively.

"Oh, that..." Mahiro chuckled, pretending to think for a moment.

Then, with a serious expression, he said, "Well, She is a very cute girl. It'd be a lie to say I don't like her, wouldn't it?"

"Oh!" Hestia puffed her cheeks angrily, making her face look even more adorable.

The sight gave Mahiro an irresistible urge to poke her cheek with his finger.

"Mahiro, I must warn you, impulsive feelings like that are unrealistic and often lead to tragedy," Hestia said, placing her hands on her hips.

She lifted her head like a mother.

'Thoughts must be crushed before they can grow!' She thought.

"Of course I know that," Mahiro replied with a grin, humoring her.

"For now, it's more of an appreciation for Sword Princess."

"And besides," he added with a playful tone, "isn't Hestia cuter than Ais?"

"Mm..." Hestia's puffed cheeks instantly softened, her pout turning into a flat expression.

Even hearing something like that was too much—it wasn't fair!

Even if she wanted to stay angry, she just couldn't.

"Then why did you invite Ais to your room at night? Isn't that... isn't it..." Hestia stammered.

As a goddess who had lived for countless years, she understood the implications of learning more.

However, as a virgin goddess, she couldn't help feeling shy about such matters.

"Isn't it what?" Mahiro smirked knowingly.

"Just... just something bad!" Hestia huffed, flustered by Mahiro's teasing.

"Actually, Ais won't come to my room."

"Huh? But she agreed. I don't think she was lying," Hestia looked puzzled.

"Wasn't Loki there?" Mahiro explained.

"Based on how overprotective Loki is of Ais, she definitely won't let her come anywhere near me."

"That does make sense," Hestia admitted, nodding thoughtfully.

She hadn't paid much attention to the dynamic between Loki and Ais earlier.

"Then why did you go through all that if you already knew?" Hestia asked suspiciously.

"Loki insulted you in front of me and even tried to recruit me into her Familia," Mahiro said with a meaningful smile.

"Don't you think she needed to be taught a lesson?"

Hestia froze for a moment and then suddenly burst into laughter.

Any negative feelings she'd had toward Ais disappeared, replaced by a sense of warmth and gratitude.

Everything Mahiro had done—his confrontation with Loki, his ambiguous words to Ais—had been for her sake.

"Hey-hey!" Hestia suddenly hugged Mahiro's arm, pressing herself against him with a happy smile.

"What are you doing, hugging me all of a sudden?" Mahiro asked, not rejecting her affectionate gesture.

"I just feel like it," Hestia tightened her grip on his arm.

The two made their way to the counter and approached Eina to complete the formalities.

"All done, Lady Hestia. The Hestia Familia has been officially registered," Eina handed over a document.

Hestia took the document and studied the words on it, and a bright smile spread across her face.

Her ponytails bounced with her excitement, making it clear how happy she was.

"By the way, Eina," Mahiro asked, "now that I'm officially an adventurer, I should be able to choose an advisor, right?"

"Yes, that's correct," Eina replied. "Do you have any specific requirements for your advisor, or perhaps someone in mind already?"

When she asked this, Eina felt a faint sense of unease for some reason.

"Of course, I have someone in mind," Mahiro said, his gaze shifting past Eina toward another receptionist nearby.

"I'd like my advisor to be gentle, attentive, and lovely."

Eina's heart sank slightly. She forced a smile and asked.

"Who might that be? I can transfer the Hestia Familia's information to her."

Mahiro turned his back to Eina.

"Eina, would you do me the honor of being my advisor?"
