Hogwarts: Please Graduate Soon

Chapter 107: Hogwarts, Please Graduate Soon, Ch 64.4

"I know all about it." Quirrell responded according to Voldemort's teachings, "The curses from ghouls and vampires are constantly eroding my brain, and sometimes my reactions are a bit slow."

"I'm very sorry for the impact this has had on the students."

"And what do you plan to do about that?" Dumbledore continued in response to Quirrell's words.

"The curses from dark creatures are indeed very troublesome; even I must be cautious in dealing with them."

"I sympathize with your predicament, but the students' education in Defense Against the Dark Arts cannot be delayed…"

"My suggestion, Quirrell, is that you should take some time to recuperate."

Dumbledore poured Quirrell a cup of hot tea: "Other professors can take turns teaching his classes until you recover."

"Wait until you've fully recovered before coming back; it won't be too late then."

Quirrell could naturally sense the underlying implication. If you continue in this state, it seems you won't need to attend classes anymore.

Cursing Wayne once again in his heart, Quirrell forced a smile, "Professor, I think it's better if I don't attend, as my group is safe within Hogwarts."

"You know, I've been avoiding that group of people for a while now."

"As for attending classes, you don't need to worry; I will do my utmost to help the students."

"Oh?" Dumbledore's expression suddenly turned serious as he scrutinized Quirrell. "Are you sure?"

"If any more complaints surface, your departure may not be very graceful."

"I am sure." Quirrell steadied himself. "But I still need some assistance with suppressing the curse."

Dumbledore did not respond immediately, "What do you want, Snape's potions?"

"No, I need phoenix tears."

The room fell silent as both of them stopped speaking, with only Fawkes expressing his dissatisfaction with a couple of squawks. Quirrell wiped the sweat from his brow.

What he just said, all of it was taught by Voldemort. To ensure he could stay at Hogwarts, Voldemort had gone all out. It was just a matter of teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts, after all!

He would do it himself! Having failed to get this position years ago, Voldemort had harbored a grudge against Dumbledore ever since; now, he was finding an alternative way to fulfill his dream.

Using the curse as an excuse, he aimed to eliminate Dumbledore's suspicions about Quirrell's rapid changes, though the only issue was energy consumption.

Although he could control Quirrell's actions, it wouldn't be sustainable for long. Voldemort planned to first get some phoenix tears from Dumbledore, then go to the Forbidden Forest to find a unicorn and use their blood to regain his strength.

Compared to white magic, black magic had quicker results, which suited Voldemort's appetite better.

To completely hide himself, the Dark Lord had thoroughly fallen into a deep sleep before coming here.

Now Quirrell was extremely anxious, unsure whether Dumbledore would accept this condition.

"Very well, for your health, I have no choice but to compromise Fawkes."

Dumbledore finally spoke, stepping closer to the phoenix and gently stroking its feathers.
