Hogwarts: Please Graduate Soon

Chapter 110: Hogwarts, Please Graduate Soon, Ch 65.1

The final decision regarding Quirrell was quickly communicated through the heads of the various departments to the heads of the colleges, who then informed the other young wizards. This also served to give everyone an explanation. Many were quite disappointed that Quirrell was not expelled. However, Dumbledore also publicly announced Quirrell's assurances and reasons, which prevented any other feelings of dissatisfaction from arising. Dumbledore's words still carried a lot of weight with the young wizards, as he was, after all, the most powerful wizard in the world.

As these events unfolded, a notification sound indicating the completion of the significant event rang in Wayne's mind.

[Major Event 'The Power of the Badger' concluded, Quirrell paid a huge price, event impact evaluation: Good.]

[Reward Points +500, tenfold critical reward has been generated and can be claimed at any time.]

While attending Transfiguration class, Wayne remained expressionless, lightly waving his wand to transform the apple on the table into a teacup. Receiving a "Good" evaluation was considered a satisfactory outcome since Quirrell still remained at Hogwarts. Had he been expelled or killed, the evaluation would likely have been much higher.

With five hundred points added, counting his previous points, he had accumulated nearly four thousand points from this event, close to half of the minimum guarantee. Wayne did not collect the final tenfold critical reward immediately. He intended to wait until nightfall when things quieted down and find a safe place to claim it, so as not to attract attention.

"Hermione, less movement with your hands."

"This is a wand, not a conductor's baton."

Miss Granger shot Wayne a glare, but still followed his advice, significantly reducing her movements.

"Mr. Finnegan, don't aim your wand at Longbottom!"

Seeing Professor McGonagall teaching Neville and Seamus, Wayne leaned in close to Hermione's ear, his warm breath brushing against her fair cheeks.

"Let's visit the Room of Requirement tonight, and I'll check in on your recent progress."

Due to the reporting incident, Hermione had been looking at him with a mix of anger and disappointment over the past few days. However, Wayne understood that her frustration stemmed from concern for him. He planned to choose a quiet night to strengthen their bond, at least to help Hermione cool off.

They were quite close together, and a blush crept onto Hermione's face as she didn't refuse, asking, "What time?"

"Maybe around ten-thirty."

The time Wayne suggested caused a slight change in Hermione's expression.

"Isn't that already past curfew?"

"Just as long as we don't get caught," Wayne replied nonchalantly. "The Gryffindor tower is very close to there, so we shouldn't worry about Filch; he's more accustomed to patrolling the fourth floor."

In the end, Hermione agreed. Her resolve had gradually weakened. Compared to adhering to school rules, she seemed more eager to sneak out with Ron.

Compared to the weekend, Hermione's Disarming Charm had improved a great deal. Although it felt a bit weak.

"Expelliarmus!"

A red beam shot towards Wayne's wrist, causing his wand to fly away, but in the next moment, Wayne simply reached out and retrieved it with ease. Hermione felt a little embarrassed. The power was indeed too weak.
