Hogwarts: Please Graduate Soon

Chapter 114: Hogwarts, Please Graduate Soon, Ch 65.5

Wayne lowered his head further to let his two roommates sleep better. To help them sleep soundly, he added two drops of Hellish Elixir—also known as the Elixir of Life—into their pre-sleep drinks. This is a potent sleeping potion; drifting into sleep feels the same as dying.

However, Wayne controlled the dosage, and two drops would be just right to ensure Norman and Toby had a beautiful eight-hour sleep. As class time approached, discussions died down. The young badgers went to the third floor for Defense Against the Dark Arts class.

Coincidentally, the last class Queerlo had before being reported was their class. This first class back from sick leave was still their course.

Many looked at Wayne. If he was still unsatisfied, would he complain again?

Sitting in the classroom by the window, Wayne found it somewhat awkward, saying, "Don't look at me; I won't go looking for trouble with the professor on purpose."

"Hehe." Hannah laughed happily, "Wayne, if you're going to complain again, make sure to bring everyone along!"

Everyone nodded in unison.

It seemed they had become addicted.

The class bell rang, and Quirrell walked in, stepping to the sound of the bell. He looked much the same as usual, wearing his oversized headscarf and carrying the unpleasant smell of garlic.

This left the young wizards feeling quite disappointed.

The classroom became slightly noisy.

"Since class has started, let's not discuss unrelated matters."

Surprisingly, Quirrell no longer stuttered; he lifted his head and began to look at his book.

"I apologize for taking up a month of your time due to my personal health issues. However, thanks to Dumbledore's help, I feel much better now."

"Let's begin the lesson."

The classroom fell silent.

Everyone noticed that Quirrell really was different.

Wayne also straightened up slightly, observing him closely.

Quirrell rarely pulled back the curtains, allowing sunlight to flood into the room, and calmly stated, "If you want to learn Defense Against the Dark Arts, we need to understand why we study this type of magic."

"Is it for defense?"

"Yes, but it's more than that."

"Studying Defense Against the Dark Arts enables us to use magic to protect ourselves from dark wizards and dark magic."

"But fundamentally, this is an offensive subject."

Tap, tap, tap!

His wand lightly tapped the blackboard, and three words appeared.

"Defense, counterattack, defeat the enemy."

With just a few brief words, all the young wizards were captivated by Quirrell's speech, which carried an indescribable charm.

Wayne understood that Quirrell didn't possess such abilities or charisma. So the one teaching the lesson could only be…

Tom!
