Chapter 116: Hogwarts, Please Graduate Soon, Ch 66.2
What Voldemort discussed contained no concrete magical knowledge but was exceptionally crucial. It was not simply about learning a few spells to compare. It was about nurturing the students' basic understanding of dark magic defense and the practice of dark magic itself.
Tall buildings rise from the ground; with a strong mindset and spirit, one can accomplish tasks efficiently. Just as Wayne taught Hermione, focusing one's thoughts and having clear objectives greatly enhances the success rate of spellcasting.
It was brilliantly articulated… Even he was drawn in, which explained why so many had once followed Voldemort.
"The definition of defense is clear; combat is inevitable… You must seize the initiative to suppress the enemy."
"Once you have the upper hand, you can advance or retreat at will—pressuring the enemy or safeguarding yourself."
"To subjugate an opponent, you must rely not only on powerful spells but also on wisdom and experience."
"One look, one gesture can reveal the enemy's intentions and the spells they are preparing to cast."
Only when the class bell rang did Voldemort finally bring his lecture to a close.
Unhurriedly sipping water, he assigned homework: "A two-foot essay on how to remain calm in battle and how to interpret an opponent's movements through their actions."
"Class dismissed."
The young wizards awoke from their reverie, and thunderous applause erupted from beneath the podium. Their excited shouts could have brought down the ceiling; even distant classrooms could hear them.
"Awesome!"
"Professor, is this really your true level? Everyone was overjoyed; not a single spell was taught in the entire class, yet they learned something more valuable than spells. The only thing that made them sad was… a two-foot-long paper… Was that really meant to take their lives? That's 60 centimeters if you convert it!
As they reluctantly walked out of the classroom, some students were already looking forward to the next Defense Against the Dark Arts class.
"Mr. Lawrence, please hold on."
Wayne, moving through the crowd, was suddenly called out. The little badgers thought it was because of the earlier complaint, and they closed ranks around Wayne to protect him.
The class had been excellent, but the badgers wouldn't abandon their friend.
"Don't misunderstand." Chilo guessed what they were thinking: "I just want to have a chat with Lawrence."
Wayne reassured them, "It's alright, Professor Chilo won't do anything to me."
That said, the wand was already gripped tightly in his wide sleeves, and his dynamic senses were activated, quietly alert. As long as Voldemort dared to act, he would be ready to react immediately.
Wayne would approach a weakened Voldemort carefully but would not be afraid.
Hearing Wayne say that, everyone reluctantly left the classroom.
Soon, only Wayne and Chilo remained.
"Lawrence, even though I didn't talk about any specific spells in this lesson, it can barely be called acceptable." Chilo's attitude was very gentle, "I wonder if you could give me some phoenix tears; my curse is not fully healed yet."
"Professor, how about I teach you a spell in the next class, and then I'll give them to you?" Wayne said with a smile.
