Chapter 16: Chapter 16: The Power
"Avada Kedavra!"
All the Aurors were stunned, and even Scrimgeour seemed unable to react in time, and was about to die under the Killing Curse.
Dumbledore next to him finally made a move. He raised the Elder Wand in his hand, transformed a piece of rubble on the ground into a copper shield, and blocked Scrimgeour.
Although the Killing Curse is a death curse that kills those in it, it can be resisted. For example, Dumbledore's shield made with Transfiguration can block the Killing Curse.
"Oh thank you, Dumbledore."
Scrimgeour thanked Dumbledore, who might be dead by now if Dumbledore hadn't stepped in to help him.
"Look who this is, the greatest White Wizard in the world, Dumbledore, no wonder the useless Aurors of the Ministry of Magic dare to appear here."
Toby mocked in a hoarse and indifferent voice.
"Dumbledore, you are already old, why bother to meddle in your own business, aren't you afraid that your old bone will die here today?"?
"I am indeed old. For an old man like me, I really want to live some peaceful days, but there are always some things that I have to do."
"Then, who are you? Why are you robbing Gringotts? If you're short of money, maybe I, an old man, can sponsor you."
The half-moon-shaped glasses on Dumbledore's face flashed white, and those sharp eyes seemed to see through everything.
"Hahahaha, Dumbledore, how can you still be so naive after living such an old age."
Toby laughed and started waving his hands.
"In the wizarding world, magic is power. Only power is above power. Powerful power is above everything else, Minister of Magic? In front of powerful power, it's just a pile of shit."
Cornelius Fudge, beside Dumbledore, flushed with anger, but he dared not stand up.
"Your thinking is very dangerous."
"In this world, magic is not the most powerful force, love is the most powerful force."
Dumbledore said it very seriously.
"Love? Dumbledore, I'm not Voldemort. What love are you talking about to me? Can love give me great strength? Can love make me immortal? Can love bring back the dead?"
"Dumbledore, stop preaching to me, you think I don't know, you yourself are a complete loser."
"As a big brother, it was you who caused the death of your own sister, thus causing your own brother to break with you."
"As an educator, it was you who set fire to the closet in front of Tom and made him realize that only great power can do whatever it wants."
"It was you, too, who guarded against Tom while he was in school, leading to the birth of Voldemort."
"As a leader, during the rampage of Voldemort, you thought you could protect everything, everyone, but look, the Potters, the Prewetts, and the Longbottoms."
"Some of them are dead, some are crazy, you can't protect everyone, your life is a failure."
"Your lover parted ways with you, your loved ones broke with you, and your students died because of your mistakes."
Toby's words were like sharp knives one after another, piercing Dumbledore's heart one by one, but he couldn't refuse at all, because they were all facts.
This always strong old man, with the magic wand hanging down in his hand, seemed to be wilting all of a sudden, pain flashed in his eyes.
The entire Diagon Alley was suddenly silent, and no one made a sound.
"Well said, well said!"
Somewhere in Diagon Alley, Professor Quirrell was also hiding here, and Voldemort's hearty laugh rang in his heart.
"I've seen it all, Dumbledore, he's a complete loser and a hypocrite."
"You evil dark wizard, stop talking nonsense, if it weren't for Professor Dumbledore, Voldemort would have killed many more people."
"It was Dumbledore who protected us from those Death Eaters!"
Hagrid's tall figure squeezed over from a distance, and shouted angrily towards the figure standing on the back of the fire dragon in mid-air.
With Hagrid standing up, more wizards stood up and silently expressed their support for Dumbledore.
On the contrary, those people from the Ministry of Magic did not express anything.
"Albus, no one will blame you. You have been protecting us as much as possible all along. The Potters, the Prewett brothers and those who died will not blame you."
"They fought for justice until the last moment of their lives."
Professor McGonagall walked over to Dumbledore's side.
"Heh heh heh! Dumbledore, look at these Ministry of Magic trash you're trying to protect, and see what they've done?"
"You worked hard for them, but they kicked you away after using them. Is it worth it for you?"
Toby's sneer sounded.
The staff of the Ministry of Magic blushed immediately, but they were speechless. They did not support Dumbledore just now.
"The decaying magic world should undergo a baptism!"
As soon as Toby's words fell, a cloud of black smoke-like energy flew out of his body, and it began to grow bigger and bigger in the air, and the energy became more and more violent.
"Silence!"
Dumbledore was speechless when he saw the dark mass of energy.
"Go, go and destroy this old magical world, and create a brand new magical world."
Following Toby's voice, the huge silent force began to fly towards Diagon Alley rapidly.
"It must be stopped, or obscurity will ruin London."
Dumbledore yelled. He knew the horror of silence, and if it wasn't stopped, it could destroy the whole city.
"Bang bang bang bang..."
A series of shattering sounds sounded, and all the glass of the shops in Diagon Alley shattered.
