Hogwarts: Starting with the creation of the One Ring

Chapter 17

Hagrid disembarked with them, checked them out, and handed them over to Professor McGonagall, who had been waiting for a long time.

Professor McGonagall saw Altaïr and Hermione in the crowd with a smile on her face, but then became serious again.

"Welcome to Hogwarts!"

Professor McGonagall said to the little wizards, her voice was cold, and there was a feeling that made people feel that she was very harsh.

"The opening banquet is about to begin, and before you enter the auditorium and take your seat, you have one more thing to do, that is, the sorting ceremony, and after going through the sorting ceremony, you can take your seat in your own house."

Professor McGonagall gave them some basic information about the four houses, as well as some rules they needed to follow and the rules for deducting points, before Shi Shiran turned around and tapped his wand.

The gates of the castle opened automatically, and the braziers inside automatically burned one by one.

The passage was brightly lit, a rotating staircase leading upstairs, and Professor McGonagall led everyone in, up the stairs, and finally stopped in front of the door of the auditorium.

"Now, line up in a single line and be quiet!"

Professor McGonagall said and everyone lined up as she asked, and then Professor McGonagall opened the door, and everyone followed her footsteps through the foyer and into the Great Hall.

"Wow!"

"Wow!"

"Oh my God!"

Exclamations such as these ringed in Altaïr's ears.

Even Hermione tugged harder at his wizarding robe, stunned by the magnificent castle hall in front of her.

In fact, even Altaïr was a little shocked.

Although he has seen the movie, to be honest, the castle in the movie is much worse than the one in front of him.

There were four oversized long tables in the Great Hall, and the seniors of Hogwarts sat at the tables, looking at them with interest.

In the middle of the auditorium, tens of thousands of candles floated.

Warm candlelight illuminates every corner, and less than the slightest shadow can be seen.

The tables were filled with gold plates and goblets, as well as matching silver cutlery, and a long table in front of the Great Hall where Hogwarts professors sat there.

Altaïr saw many familiar faces, including the kind-looking Headmaster Dumbledore, the tsundere Professor Snape, and Quirrell in a turban.

Through the candles, you can see that the sky of the auditorium is like the Milky Way, with twinkling stars, silver bands fluttering, and shooting stars passing by from time to time.

The little wizards were stunned.

Until Professor McGonagall called them a few times and led them to the front of the auditorium, stopping in front of a chair.

Professor McGonagall then placed a pointed wizard hat on the chair, which looked shabby and patched and stained in some places.

Everyone in the auditorium was looking at the hat, and Hermione wanted to speak, but felt her sleeve being pulled by Altaïr.

Then, under the surprised gazes of the little wizards, the hat seemed to stretch its waist and moved, and then began to sing.

Altaïr listened with a stiff expression, and the hat began to salute the people in the auditorium.

The seniors and professors began to applaud, and the little wizards applauded as well.

When the applause stopped, Professor McGonagall came up with a roll of parchment and said

"Now, the freshman whose name I read came up, sat on a chair, put on his hat, and waited for the Sorting."

Professor McGonagall glanced at the parchment.

"Hannah Abbot!"

Altaïr looked at the girl, a girl with blonde hair and a slightly red face, she took a deep breath and walked up cautiously.

Hannah put on her hat, and after a while, Altaïr heard the hat shout

"Hufflepuff!"

The little girl seemed relieved, and there was a round of applause and cheers from the Hufflepuff table, and she put down her hat and walked over there.

"Susan Burns!"

Professor McGonagall continued to shout.

Little wizards were sorted into their own houses, and soon it was Hermione's turn.

She glanced at Altaïr, then took a deep breath and walked up.

The Sorting Hat was silent for a moment, as if communicating with Hermione, but Altaïr couldn't hear it, only saw the Hat move twice and shouted:

"Gryffindor!"

There were cheers from the Gryffindor table, and Hermione dropped the sorters, looked at Altaïr with a hint of expectation in her eyes, and ran to the Gryffindor table.

After Hermione, Ron and Harry were also sorted into Gryffindor.

Soon, it was Altaïr's turn.

"Altaïr Shelby."

Professor McGonagall looked at him with encouragement in her eyes, and even Dumbledore, who was sitting behind him, straightened up slightly, apparently having heard about Altaïr from Professor McGonagall.

Altaïr stepped forward, put on his sorting hat, and sat down in his chair.

"Hmm... What a powerful talent, an evil and dark power, a born dark wizard... I've never seen a wizard with such terrible talent, more than four founders, more than Merlin, more than Dumbledore. "

The voice of the Sorting Hat sounded in Altaïr's ears.

"Deep down there is amazing ambition, but knowing how to hide himself, well, a perfect Slytherin."

The Sorting Hat muttered in Altaïr's ear, and then his voice changed.
