Chapter 20
The first class of the semester was History of Magic, and the professor was an old ghost.
It was said that Professor Binns fell asleep in front of the fireplace in the staff lounge, and forgot to bring his body with him when he went to class the next morning.
This shows that Professor Binns was indeed very old when he was alive.
During the class, Professor Binns kept talking in a monotonous voice, and the students below scribbled down names and dates, confusing the evil man Murrick with the weird man Ulric.
Some students even fell asleep directly, but Professor Binns still didn't care, and talked on his own, regardless of whether the students listened or not.
This reminded William of some university professors in his previous life, especially the professor who taught elective courses, who was exactly the same as Professor Binns.
Fortunately, William was well prepared.
After getting the class schedule, William found that the first class was History of Magic, and he remembered Professor Binns's name.
So when he went back to the dormitory to get the textbooks, he not only brought"History of Magic", but also"Ancient Magic Rune Simple Introduction", and began to learn ancient magic runes by himself.
As for the History of Magic, Professor Binns only taught about things from the book. William had already read the entire History of Magic and memorized it.
So it made no difference whether he listened or not.
Hermione, who was beside William, listened carefully even though she had memorized the entire book. But when she found that William had been reading with his head down, she couldn't help but look over.
But when she saw the words in the book clearly, she realized that she didn't recognize them at all.
So she asked curiously,"William, what book are you reading? Why isn't it History of Magic?"》?"
"《Ancient Magical Runes》"
"Ancient runes? But we're in a history of magic class, don't you have to listen?"
"It's okay. I just listened to what Professor Binns said. They are all things from the textbook. I have already memorized everything in the textbook, so it doesn't matter whether you listen or not."
After hearing William's explanation, Hermione frowned slightly. This was a strong opponent. There was actually someone who memorized the entire textbook like her.
Although she felt that William was a little disrespectful to the professor, Hermione also felt that William's behavior could be used as a reference.
But it won't work in this class because she didn't bring other books.
But in the next History of Magic class, if the situation is still the same, she will have to follow suit.
Seeing Hermione's thoughtful look, William encouraged in a low voice:"Hermione, I remember you said you have memorized all the textbooks, so you can also read other books."
Hermione hesitated for a moment, but finally said:"But I didn't bring other books."
William smiled and said,"It doesn't matter, I brought them, we can read them together, but I don't know if you are interested in ancient magic runes?"
"I have never come across ancient magic, but it is not impossible. Anyway, I have nothing to do now. Hermione pursed her lips and answered
"That's good." William said as he moved the book towards Hermione.
Hermione also subconsciously moved closer to William, and the distance between the two of them became closer and closer, and finally they were even close to each other.
Harry and Ron, who were sitting behind the two of them, looked at each other in bewilderment. What were the two guys doing in front of them? Were they dating?
William didn't know what they were thinking, otherwise he would have praised them for their good eyesight.
Although Hermione was very talented in learning, it was still very stressful for her to learn ancient magic runes for the first time.
William would explain it to her from time to time. Although he was also a beginner, his memory and comprehension were far beyond ordinary people, and his learning ability was much higher than Hermione's.
The relationship between the two became closer as they communicated and learned.
The class ended unknowingly, and Professor Binns left an eight-inch paper to explain the English magic runes. The early origins of the Lan wizards.
The next class is the Herbology class, and the teacher is Professor Sprout, the head of Hufflepuff House.
She is a short and fat witch with flowing gray hair and a thick hat full of patches.
During the Herbology class, she will take William and others to the greenhouse behind the castle, where they will learn how to cultivate exotic plants and fungi and understand their uses.
Because it was the first time for William and others to take the Herbology class, Professor Sprout did not arrange for them to actually practice.
In the first Herbology class, Professor Sprout mainly gave a brief introduction to the magical plants in the greenhouse, including their names, living habits and so on.
At noon, in the Hogwarts Great Hall.
William and Hermione sat together for lunch. As for his roommates, who were they?
The two chatted while eating, and the atmosphere was very harmonious.
"Hermione, do you know who is our Charms teacher?"William asked mysteriously
"Of course I know, it's Professor Freeze, he is the head of Ravenclaw House."Hermione said proudly
"Then do you know Professor Freeve's other identity?"
"Other identities? What other identities does Professor Freeway have? It's not mentioned in the book. Are you lying to me?"
Hermione was a little confused and looked at William in disbelief.
"Hermione, you have to know that there are always things in the world that are not recorded in books, or recorded in books but you haven't seen them."
William acted like a philosopher, talking about the great principles he had realized.
Hermione nodded helplessly and said,"Okay, then what other identity do you think Professor Freevy has?"
"Professor Freeway was a wizard duel champion when he was young, and he was very powerful."William leaned close to Hermione's ear and whispered.
His breath when he spoke made Hermione's ears itchy, but Hermione was already attracted by what William said.
"Wizard duel champion? Really?"
Hermione couldn't believe it. After all, Professor Freeway didn't look like a duel champion at all. Professor
Freeway was surprisingly small, only about one meter tall. He didn't look like a duel champion.
"of course it's true"
"It's really unbelievable, but now I'm more looking forward to the afternoon spells class. I wonder what spells Professor Freeway will teach us?"Hermione said excitedly.
The two chatted casually, and soon they finished lunch, and then went back to the Gryffindor common room together.
Seeing William's familiarity, Hermione admired him a little.
After all, they just came to Hogwarts last night, and they didn't walk through it three times in total, but William could find the right way very skillfully, which was hard not to admire.
In the afternoon spells class, Professor Freeway's performance made Hermione very suspicious that William was lying to him.
Because Professor Freeway was too short, he had to stand on a pile of books during class to reach the desk.
As a result, when he took out the roster to call the roll and read Harry's name, he screamed excitedly, and then fell to the ground and disappeared.
This funny performance made Hermione look at William with suspicion in her eyes.
William could even read the meaning of her eyes:
That's it? Duel champion? Are you kidding me? Or have you also been fooled?
