But he was left with a question: If he chose to take on this bloodline, would it come with the same side effects the character faced?

The fusion process was less painful than Naruto expected. Rather than agony, he only felt an exhilarating surge of strength.

Kurama, his fox companion, immediately noticed something had changed. "Naruto, why has your chakra suddenly increased in quantity and power?"

Naruto shrugged nonchalantly. "How should I know?"

Kurama grumbled in exasperation. "You didn't even bother to make up an excuse, did you?"

Naruto grinned, assuring Kurama, "Relax. I won't break my promise to you."

The fusion granted Naruto access to the bloodline limit—Bloodline Inheritance—granting him control over chakra's Nature Transformation without starting from scratch. He only needed to focus on his bloodline's capabilities.

By the end of winter break, Naruto realized something unexpected: he could create wood out of thin air! Although the original character's Wood Style awakened at a later age, Naruto's fusion with Senju's enhanced bloodline accelerated this process—a pleasant surprise.

Back at School

The ninja students returned to class, eager to share winter break stories with each other. While some were thrilled, others weren't as cheerful.

Upon arriving at the academy, Naruto was immediately intercepted by two girls: Haruno Sakura and Yamanaka Ino. Both had shifted allegiances, no longer devoted followers of Sasuke after Naruto's "glow-up."

"Naruto!" Ino eagerly wrapped her arms around his. "I've been trying to find where you live! You have to show me sometime so I can remember it!"

Sakura, looking displeased, tried to pull Ino back. "Ino, stop that! You're making him uncomfortable."

Naruto stepped back, his mind on a recent rumor. "So, you two heard about it, didn't you?"

Sakura's green eyes looked down, disappointed. "Yeah, we heard…" she mumbled, seemingly on the verge of tears.

Ino, however, looked starry-eyed, murmuring, "A hero saving his girl! Isn't that so romantic?"

Naruto, irritated by their persistence, seized the moment to slip away while they were lost in their thoughts.

Survival Exercises Announced

Their teacher, Iruka, gathered the class and announced, "Today we'll review theory. Tomorrow, everyone is to gather on the playground for survival exercises!"

These drills, a routine part of ninja training, were now eagerly anticipated by the students. Starting from third grade, each semester began with a survival exercise. Students immediately started forming cliques, knowing that a reliable team could make the experience much easier.

Iruka even set aside time for them to form teams.

Hinata's gaze drifted toward Naruto, who, like Sasuke, was already surrounded by a swarm of excited classmates.

But Naruto soon managed to break free and found a spot next to Hinata, flashing her a mischievous grin. "Hey, Hinata. You mind if I sit here?" he said cheekily, having already taken the seat.

Hinata's face reddened, and she hummed a soft reply in agreement. Other girls nearby took notice, murmuring among themselves.

"It seems like those rumors about Naruto and Hinata are true!"

"Engaged? Why does Hinata get to do that?"

"She's really moving fast, isn't she?"

With that, Naruto and Hinata decided to form a team for the survival exercise.

Meanwhile, Ino and Sakura exchanged tense glances.

"Ino, if Naruto and Hinata team up, there's only one spot left. You know what that means?"

"Of course," Ino replied. "Let's settle it here—whoever loses backs off."

"That's not what I meant," Sakura snapped. "Just quit on your own so you can still save face."

"Oh, please," Ino retorted. "Why don't you quit yourself?"

"Fine. What do you want to compete on?"

"Better development!" Ino declared.

"What?" Sakura blinked.

Ino straightened, puffing out her chest with a smug look. "It's clear I'm more developed than you, Forehead Girl."

"Wha—"

Ino grinned wider, patting Sakura's head. "Aw, is it an 'airport' at such a young age?"

Sakura's eyes narrowed, her frustration evident as she glared back at Ino.
