How to Save a Time-Limited Heroine

Ch. 20

In the Count’s bedroom.

Agnes trembled and then lowered her head to confirm what she had just done.

The bed was full of shameful traces.

“Ha…”

Agnes slowly raised her upper body and clutched her confused head.

Then she jerked her hand away.

It was because the liquid on her fingertips stuck to her hair, causing discomfort.

Agnes frowned and sighed, then took another action.

She threw off her underwear, which was wet and added to her discomfort.

Next, she analyzed the disgrace she had shown.

‘What did I…’

What did she do?

Agnes’s mind calmed down.

There were no aftereffects as Deltain and Kaltara had expected.

She simply marveled.

‘Was I thinking like that?’

Agnes, who usually had a very thin emotional line, was even more shocked by her true feelings.

For the first time, Agnes realized that she might have anxieties about wanting to live.

It was naturally a blow to her pride.

It was also a matter of shame.

But even though she had just learned about her true feelings, Agnes wasn’t flustered.

The temptation had already disappeared.

Agnes could easily ignore those feelings.

Whether in an amplified emotional state or now, Agnes wanted only one thing: to become Deltain Hebron’s forever.

‘It turned out well.’

This experience had become an opportunity to reflect on herself, so there would be fewer mistakes in the future.

Judging by the disappearance of the temptation, it seemed that Deltain had safely dealt with the demon.

He was probably coming here right now.

What she had to think about was how she should present herself to him when he returned.

She pondered over how to show a reaction that would deeply penetrate his heart.

Agnes began to think very calculatedly.

‘… I can’t be ashamed.’

Otherwise, she would be no different from other women.

‘Crying is also a no.’

Pity or shame couldn’t move Deltain’s heart.

Being looked down upon would only limit the range of actions she could take.

‘In that case…’

Agnes smiled.

What came to mind was an intellectual and alluring smile.

Having made up her mind, she lay down on the bed again and looked at the door.

She didn’t bother to clean up the mess.

The underwear she had taken off, fallen right below the bed, the sheets, the blanket, and her clothes all soaked through were fine.

This, too, would be a good tool to seduce Deltain Hebron.

“You’re here…”

Deltain entered through the suddenly opened door.

And he held his breath.

“You’re here.”

Agnes laughed.

*

Deltain first gathered information through his sight.

Agnes, smiling at him, looked the same as usual.

But for some reason, the wet sheets and blanket, and Agnes’s damp nightgown made him imagine improper things.

No, could he really call the images that came to mind right now just imagination?

Could he just conclude that she had spilled water after seeing the wet underwear right below the bed?

‘… shit.’

Absolutely not.

At least anyone with common sense and insight could guess what she had done, soaked in temptation.

“Did you catch the demon?”

Deltain couldn’t answer.

It was because the sight he had never imagined left him stunned.

But it didn’t last long.

Deltain frowned deeply and spoke.

“… in which household is it etiquette to play with oneself in someone else’s bed?”

“What could I do? I was soaked in temptation. I couldn’t control myself, and the room was filled with your scent. It was hard to resist.”

“What…”

“I told you.”

Agnes’s lips curved into a smile.

“I get aroused thinking about being with you.”

Deltain was at a loss for words.

He instinctively realized that the thing he had been thinking about on the way here might actually happen now.

Deltain’s honest feeling was this.

He wanted to run away.

Facing her in this state, the underwear standing out in the middle of the red carpet, her disheveled hair wet with sweat and who-know-what—all of it was extremely stimulating for him.

But he couldn’t.

Whatever it was, running away from the task in front of him was something Deltain Hebron must never do.

“… you’re like a dog in heat.”

“Yes, I think I really have to admit it now. I am a bitch.”

Agnes slowly raised her upper body.

Her sweat-soaked nightgown shone transparently, faintly revealing her skin.

“Hey. Do you remember the promise you made to me?”

“…”

“You remember, don’t you?”

Deltain’s face turned red.

It was a silent affirmation.

While Agnes was filled with a pleasant feeling, Deltain spoke.

“It was just to calm you down when you were soaked in temptation.”

“Still, a promise is a promise.”

“Think rationally. What do you have to gain from… doing it with me?”

“There is.”

For Agnes, the most important thing was in that matter.

“I can get you.”

“… what?”

“You can take my first time. That’s what I want.”

With a rustling sound, Agnes slipped her legs off the bed.

The inside of her thighs was also glistening with some unknown liquid.

“It took three hours. From the moment you threw me into this room until the temptation was released.”

Standing up on her pale legs, she slowly approached Deltain.

She was staggering a bit, possibly due to her weakened strength.

“During that time, I was completely lost in your scent. My emotions have calmed down, but my body hasn’t calmed down at all. It’s still so hot. I can hardly breathe. And I know how to solve this.”

Agnes hugged Deltain’s waist.

“It has to be you.”

She looked up at him from below.

Her cherry blossom-colored eyes were fixed on him.

Everything she said was true.

But her actions were thoroughly calculated.

“Sleep with me, Deltain.”

She spoke with a voice filled with heat.

Agnes felt Deltain’s muscles starting to tense.

She also noticed his breathing becoming slightly erratic.

So, she pressed her body even closer to him.

Deltain frowned, his face looking somewhat repressed.

“Why don’t you just confess?”

“You’d reject me. So, I won’t. I like certainty.”

“You think pushing yourself on me is the right way? Don’t you think it’s too cheap?”

“No. Because the only one I’ve ever allowed to touch me, and will ever allow, is you.”

“Words mean nothing…”

“And this is just a part of it.”

Agnes said and buried her head in Deltain’s chest.

“I’ll have all of you. Your body, your heart, your memories.”

She gently stroked his lower back.

Agnes truly wished for it.

To be part of Deltain’s entire life and the days to come.

To remain as the most beautiful and painful memory that would bind him.

So that even if this wretched body ended, she would live on forever.

“… yeah, we said we’d do this.”

Agnes lightly stepped away from Deltain.

There was now a fist-sized gap between them.

“I forgot.”

Agnes spoke cheerfully, thinking she had played enough.

More than making him uncomfortable, she wanted the promised reward.

Agnes slowly bent forward, kneeling.

Her body’s lines, reflected in the moonlight, shimmered with moisture.

“Deltain.”

She looked up at him.

Her always radiant blonde hair hung down as she respectfully put her knees together, raised her arms to her chest, and clasped her hands, slowly rubbing them together.

Her flushed face, with cherry blossom-colored eyes surrounded by gracefully curved black lines, looked up at him.

“Please, sleep with me. Please.”

Even while saying such humiliating words, she was not vulgar.

Deltain thought it was her composure that created this atmosphere.

It was strange.

Deltain felt as if he was looking up at her even though he was looking down.

“Please punish this lewd bitch.”

With a voice full of laughter, Deltain bit his lip.

Despite having initiated this, he didn’t want to see it.

Seeing this brought a heat rising inside him. And now, he had no excuse for it.

The demon’s temptation was gone.

“… stop it.”

He reached out and stopped her movements.

Her hands, which had been rubbing up and down, stopped.

“Stop.”

“Will you sleep with me?”

“Stop that too. Did you forget? It’s impossible with your body. Ask for something else.”

“This is my request. No, I’m begging you. The wish I asked for when I visited your mansion last time. Make it this.”

“You’re talking nonsense…!”

Agnes laughed.

Even though Deltain was vehemently refusing, she remained calm.

She already understood him.

Agnes knew the cause of his hesitation.

‘Pride.’

He was the epitome of ego.

He never went back on a decision.

He had said he wouldn’t give his body to her, so he was restrained by his own words.

So, there was only one thing to do.

Agnes stood up.

“There’s nothing to be ashamed of.”

She took Deltain’s hands.

“What happens next is all a mistake.”

She slowly led him to bed.

“We’re still not free from the demon’s temptation. The lingering temptation blurred our judgment. But it’s okay.”

Agnes sat on the bed and then laid back, pulling Deltain with her.

This created the posture of him covering her.

“The demon has already been caught by Deltain Hebron. There’s no more threat. The important thing is that Deltain was too tired from the battle and still under temptation to make a rational decision, and unfortunately, I was in your bed at that time.”

Agnes looked into Deltain’s eyes.

Her smile deepened.

“From now on, everything that happens is just an accident.”

Her hand reached for the back of his neck.

Then she pulled him down towards her.

And whispered.

“This is something only we will know. And we will never speak of it outside. Yes, this is an unavoidable .”

Her breath and faint laughter tickled his ear.

Deltain’s breath stopped.

Agnes delighted in all of it and spoke.

She wished.

“So, break me.”

That he would give himself to her.

“Make me suffer.”

That he would remember this moment.

“Carve yourself into me.”

And that, in the end, he would step into the mire.
