How To Survive as a Class a Hunter

chapter 22

22. Younger Sister Kim Sun – [2]

Ⓐ BabyBerserker: Hey, big sister! Do you like milk?

Not long ago, Baby Mushroom said! While fighting a nasty monster, her chubby cheeks and tiny fingers got snipped off like a hamster! Boohoo ㅠ

The good Baby Mushroom was in so much pain, but she held back her tears, worried that if she cried, Santa wouldn’t bring her presents! When she got home, she ate, then went to sleep! Such a good and brave Baby Mushroom, pat pat!

When she woke up from her nap, she went to the bathroom to brush her teeth!

And when she looked in the mirror, guess what? Milk was flowing from Baby Mushroom’s hands and face?!?

Could Baby Mushroom have turned into a cow? So surprised, she looked closely, and oh my!!

That pure white stuff wasn’t milk; it was Baby Mushroom’s skin! The color of the original skin and the regenerated skin was so different that she got confused for a moment! What a silly Baby Mushroom, heehee♡

Below are the original skin color and the regenerated skin color photos! Promise not to fall for Baby Mushroom’s milky skin, oppas!!

Thanks to my real-life fame and passionate performance, I am now one of the named figures on HuntWeb. The speed at which comments were posted after I uploaded a post was unusual.

Anonymous: If you see this guy’s regenerated skin in person, it’s really scary. He doesn’t usually smile much, so he already looks intimidating, but the regenerated areas are distinctly different in color, like some kind of Frankenstein.

Ⓐ syberMagneto: Please… don’t ruin the emotion of that moment like this…

Anonymous: What’s wrong with this guy? Why does he act like a lunatic in interviews and on the internet?

Ⓐ ElmayaK: Well, after all that suffering, he needs to relieve stress somehow. You’ve been through a lot, and keep going, fighting!

YYY: A friend told me that Hunter Kim Geuk is on this site, so I came to see. Is this really him?

ㄴ Ⓑ GoodHunter: Surprisingly…

ㄴ YYY: No, I’m one of the survivors saved by him back then. He was so cool and came to save us even though he was seriously injured. I came here to thank him, but why is he acting like this here? ㅠ

ㄴ Anonymous: Seems like the side effects of Councilor Park Mi-hyung’s brainwashing?

Hmm, not bad. Not bad at all.

Even if it’s like this, it feels good to attract everyone’s attention.

Thinking about it, I’ve always tried to get attention like this when I was on the internet before. Is this also because of my crappy family environment? Seeking affection due to lack of love, something like that?

Ⓐ BabyBerserker: Are you the Incheon citizen rescued by Baby Mushroom? Nice to meet you! So nice to meet you!! Until the great Incheon colonizes all regions of the Korean Peninsula, Incheon citizens must survive!

ㄴ YYY: Hunter Kim Geuk, please ㅠ

After willingly providing fan service, I was scrolling and enjoying web surfing.

One post on HuntWeb caught my eye.

Ⓢ Kang: An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, justice served

The title was nothing special, but the view count was unusually high. Why?

Looking closely, the author’s badge was unusual. Just as the Ⓐ badge proves an A-rank awakener, the Ⓢ badge is the same.

S-rank… my goodness.

Was his name Kang Joon-chi? I clicked on the post as if I were bewitched.

A video was attached. When I pressed the play button, a video started playing.

A middle-aged man passing by throws trash into the cargo bed of a parked truck. A crumpled cigarette pack and cigarette butts.

‘That b*stard?’

The video’s recorder, a young man, frowns.

He’s a famous figure. Korea’s only S-rank awakener, Kang Joon-chi.

Kang Joon-chi secretly follows the middle-aged man and soon finds out where the man’s house is.

Kang Joon-chi breaks into the house. When he tears off the door of the three-story villa, the interior is revealed.

‘What? Who are you?’

The middle-aged man who had previously thrown away the trash and the middle-aged woman who appeared to be his wife screamed in surprise. The teenagers who seemed to be their children were also frozen in fear as Kang Joon-chi shouted.

“Who are you? Damn it, you b*stard! How dare you shamelessly throw trash in my truck!”

The objects around responded to Kang Joon-chi’s anger.

The furniture and items in the house crumpled as if being compressed into a single point. In the blink of an eye, a microwave turned into a small ball…

The wardrobe floated up and blocked the door the middle-aged woman was trying to escape through. As the middle-aged woman screamed again, the middle-aged man picked up the shotgun he had placed next to the door and aimed it.

“What the hell are you? Raise your hands, you b*stard, hands—”

But even the shotgun crumpled on its own, and the middle-aged man’s face showed a look of despair.

And then Kang Joon-chi’s retribution began. It was a retribution so simple and raw that it had never been seen even in internet stories.

“You b*stard, throwing trash in someone else’s truck!”

The middle-aged man’s body floated in the air. Thud, thud. His body repeatedly slammed into the ceiling and the floor.

“Where do you get off playing the victim? Where, you b*stard!”

Kang Joon-chi shouted with emotion every time the middle-aged man’s body hit something.

Finally, when the middle-aged man passed out, Kang Joon-chi stopped shouting. The camera then turned to the window.

A bizarre phenomenon began outside the window.

The trash that had been piled up and neglected in a corner of the neighborhood, forming almost a small hill, floated into the air and flew towards the house.

Crash, crash. The trash broke through the windows and piled up inside the house. The trash filled the small room, the living room, and the bathroom to the brim.

The siren started to sound when the house was about half-filled with trash.

“Is something wrong? Is something wrong?”

A voice was heard from outside the door, and with a groan, the door blocked by the wardrobe was flung open.

Two officers armed with automatic rifles and bulletproof vests appeared.

The two officers looked at Kang Joon-chi. One officer seemed to have determined that he was the culprit of this chaotic situation. “Raise your hands!” he shouted, aiming his gun.

But the other officer recognized Kang Joon-chi.

“Hey, hey. That’s Kang Joon-chi…”

And, “Ugh!” The officer who had mentioned his name groaned, clutching his stomach as if he had been hit by an invisible fist.

Kang Joon-chi snapped at the officer.

“Damn it. It’s Mr. Kang Joon-chi! How dare a cop call a citizen’s name carelessly?”

Meanwhile, the officer who had aimed his gun seemed to have recognized the name as well.

There was no attempt to retaliate for what had happened to his fellow officer. He slowly lowered the gun he had been aiming as if he was about to shoot.

And unbelievably, the officers seemed to have no intention of arresting or restraining Kang Joon-chi.

“What are you looking at? Get lost!”

When Kang Junchi yelled, the two policemen glanced at each other and then slowly backed away. As if conscious of the camera, they covered their faces with their palms, turned around, and disappeared as if fleeing.

Thus, the two policemen’s appearance in the video ended.

The middle-aged woman, who had been trembling in the corner, saw it too. Despair appeared on her face, already filled with fear.

And as the troublemaker disappeared, Kang Junchi gestured as if to start in earnest. At his gesture, water gushed out of the faucet on its own, and the water that poured out floated into the air and covered the face of the unconscious middle-aged man.

Ugh, the man groaned as he regained consciousness. Kang Junchi laughed.

And about five minutes later, all the man’s hair and eyebrows were plucked out, and his fingernails and toenails were all torn off. An invisible force had pulled all of it from his body.

Once again, the man fainted, and the camera moved back. The camera showed the entire house, which was filled with piles of garbage, leaving no room to step.

To clean up all that garbage, it would be impossible for the family to do it alone; they would have to hire several workers. At a glance, it would cost millions of won. It would be a serious expense for a household that clearly had little.

Amazingly, all of this was retaliation for dumping garbage in the truck bed.

‘If you dump garbage again, you’re dead, seriously.’

With those words, Kang Junchi left the house filled with garbage.

The video ended.

After watching the video, I was shocked. It was a fresh, truly head-smashing shock.

The ‘justice implementation’ in the video was so provocative, but the content itself was not attractive. It was hard to immerse myself in the video because of the innocent middle-aged woman and teenagers who were caught up in it.

The scene I focused on intensely as if I were being sucked into the video was different.

The scene where the police, having arrived at the scene, left as if nothing had happened…

At some point, Mr. Lim Hyung-taek said that S-class hunters act as if they are above the law.

I thought it meant that S-class hunters, like high-ranking people, subtly avoid legal punishment as the upper class of society.

In other words, even if they commit illegal acts, they are not prosecuted, or they are subtly given deferred prosecution, something like that.

Now I see that it didn’t mean that. The words ‘subtly’, ‘vaguely’, or ‘sneakily’ did not fit all those actions and results.

In the video, Kang Junchi committed all that violence openly, uploaded the video containing all those illegal acts to the internet publicly, and still received no punishment.

When I searched separately, there were no internet articles covering this incident. There was also no article about Kang Junchi being prosecuted.

The police, who had witnessed the crime scene and retreated without taking any action, did not move at all even after the video was uploaded.

Ⓢ Kang: I was on stakeout for 8 hours without eating to film the guy dumping garbage in the truck bed, but it was worth it, haha.

Is he not afraid of any repercussions at all? Even now, Kang Junchi was commenting on his post.

I logged out and then asked.

Anonymous: I really enjoyed the video, but I have a question! Won’t this video get deleted?

Ⓢ Kang: It got deleted once before, but after I stormed the headquarters and caused a ruckus, it never gets deleted, lol.

Anonymous: That’s awesome…

Ⓢ Kang: Haha, you know a thing or two.

I decided not to ask what that guy’s “gyeotganggu” was. I simply followed the link at the bottom of the text.

A dedicated channel for Kang Jun-chi was set up on a domestic streaming site.

As I skimmed through the videos posted there, I realized that Kang Jun-chi had been consistently filming similar videos for over a year, meaning he had been continuously enacting his own version of justice.

Just looking at the titles of the videos he uploaded was enough to see how provocative they were.

“Crushed both legs of an old lady jaywalking”

“Popped out the eye of a lady who cut in line at the supermarket”

“Made a street smoker eat two cartons of cigarettes”

“High School Conquest Part 1 – Stormed the school of the high schoolers who flipped me off and ran away”

“High School Conquest Part 2 – Pulled out all their eyebrows, hair, and fingernails”

The view counts on the uploaded videos were also incredibly high. Each one had tens of thousands of views; this was something that couldn’t be hidden even if one wanted to.

And yet, there was no punishment from any government agency?
