Charlie looks at Harry brimming with excitement and admiration "here I thought you were just a dork like our sister but you are awesome Harry. Please teach me non-verbal magic. I also want to be a master"

"Hey!" Rose yelled in anger at Charlie but he ignored it.

Harry smiled at his brother "This is not something that can be taught. The only way to learn non-verbal magic is to keep practising on your own" he explained to his brother.

Charlie's excitement quickly turned into disappointment after hearing that. Seeing that he not getting anything from Harry he turned to Tonks.

"Tonks I have never seen you use incantations, you must be a master too. Can you teach me my favourite most awesome cousin?" Charlie asked.

"I am quite good at non-verbal magic but I am still far from being a master. But I will surely be a master by the time I graduate from the Auror Academy" Tonks answered.

Seeing that he was getting nowhere Charlie stayed silent. But Rose had her own questions for Tonks.

"If anyone can perform spells non-verbally with enough practice then why are there so few masters in the wizarding world?" Rose asked.

Tonks nodded "it all comes down to talent and dedication. Most people only stick to mastering spells and magic that they are specialized in and don't bother to master spells that they don't use regularly. And then talent also plays a part because the more talented you are the faster you learn new types of spells and magic"

"It is an open secret in the Auror Department that every witch and wizard has the potential to be a master of non-verbal magic but most people just don't bother. You can see why most people don't even try because if you are not particularly talented it can take decades of hard work and constant practice to become a master. The oldest person to achieve that title was a wizard in his 90s and then there are monsters like Dumbledore and Harry who became masters barely into their Hogwarts years. So unless you are striving for a combat-oriented profession like Duellist, Auror, etc there is really no need to become a master" Tonks continued.

"But it is necessary if you want to become an Auror right?" Charlie interrupted.

Tonks shook her head "No not necessarily. You can be an Auror and not be a master but it is something that you need if you want to be promoted. Being a master of non-verbal magic and being able to cast a fully corporal Patronus are just two among the list of harsh requirements required to be a Senior Auror"

"So if you want to be an Auror you better shape up because your dad and uncle Sirius are among the youngest people to be promoted to Senior Aurors. Don't just go around playing pranks on people, you will have to work very hard if you really want to become an Auror" Tonks warned Charlie.

But instead of being dejected by Tonks's warning and the difficulties he has to face in order to achieve his dream Charlie's eyes lit up with a passion. Seeing this Harry couldn't help but be proud of his little brother.

"What about wandless magic? If there is a title like the master of non-verbal magic then there must be a title like the master of wandless magic right?" Rose asked.

"There is, but it can only be achieved by the strongest witches and wizards. Such a person doesn't even need to use a wand most of the time. They only use wands when in combat or performing particularly powerful magic. Since wandless magic requires vast amounts of power and skill to perform as such the masters of wandless magic are very rare and not just in the wizarding world but also our entire history" Tonks answered.

"There are only two known masters of wandless magic in the entire world. Now there is only one , Dumbledore, with the Dark Lord dead." Tonks continued.

"Are you sure that there are only two? I have never seen grandmother use her wand, and I have even seen my mother do wandless magic from time to time" Rose questioned.

Tonks shook her head "All wizards and witches know a few basic spells that they can perform wandlessly. This is what happens when someone casts the same basic spells over and over for decades. Your grandparents are very gifted people who have been performing magic for more than 8 decades now. Do you think they would still need their wands to cast day to day household spells?"

"No" Rose mumbled at Tonks.

"There is a big difference between being able to perform some spells wandlessly and being a master of wandless magic. Tell me what do you think would happen if an entire squad of Aurors attacks Professor Dumbledore and he doesn't have his wand with him?" Tonks asked.

Rose pondered for a bit but ultimately stayed silent.

"Professor Dumbledore would still easily defeat the entire squad of Aurors even without his wand. This is what it means to be a master of wandless magic, even without their wands such powerful masters are still beyond the reach of normal wizards and witches" Tonks answered her own question.

Rose and Charlie both nodded, only now are they beginning to understand how big the world really is, they still have a long way to go before they can be something in the wizarding world.

Before long the mood shifted as the tournament was about to start, all three of them got excited as the first duel of the night was about to begin.
