Chapter 34: Collecting Ingredient and the start of the third year(chapter 34)
A/N sorry, i was a sleep.
Chapter 34
The Queen's anger roared like the storm she conjured around her, her golden armor gleaming as bolts of ice and lightning crackled in the sky. Her magic surged with every failed attempt to land a blow on Gray, who had vanished into the chaos of battle. Each of her attacks, powerful enough to freeze entire battalions, hit nothing but air. The battlefield itself trembled under the weight of her fury as she screamed, "Where are you, coward?"
Gray, in his invisible form, darted from shadow to shadow, exploiting the chaos and using his destructive spells. His breath was calm, controlled, as his eyes scanned the battlefield, measuring the Queen's movements with cold precision. Aslan's army, now retreating, left him behind as planned, giving Gray the perfect opportunity for a final strike. He had prepared for this moment meticulously, and the time to execute his plan had come.
Suddenly, a large fiery phoenix flew overhead, its blazing wings separating the armies. The brilliant display of flames lit the entire battlefield, momentarily halting the fighting. Aslan's forces retreated, regrouping for the next phase of their plan. Yet, Gray remained still, his eyes locked on the Queen.
"Enough of this!" she yelled, her voice piercing through the noise of battle as she raised her wand. With one swift motion, she stabbed toward where Gray was hiding, her ice-tipped wand crackling with magic.
Gray, mid-swing, felt the sharp stab in his stomach as the wand pierced his flesh. Pain shot through his abdomen, but instead of wincing, Gray smiled—a dark, victorious smile. "Petrification?" he whispered, black liquid seeping from his mouth. "I've dealt with worse." The potion he'd used against the basilisk, now circulating in his veins, made him immune to her petrifying spell.
"Impossible!" The Queen gasped, pulling her wand back in disbelief. Her eyes widened with panic as she realized her magic couldn't harm him. Gray's smile only widened, his eyes gleaming with malicious intent.
"Let's see how you handle this," he muttered under his breath, drawing a small knife coated in a lethal, alchemically-enhanced basilisk poison. In one swift motion, he plunged the knife into the Queen's side. The poison took effect instantly, her body seizing up as her nerves shut down one by one. Her eyes grew wide with terror as she felt her life slipping away.
"W-what... have you done?" she whispered, her voice barely audible as her body began to fail. Gray leaned in close, his voice low and mocking. "It's simple. I win." Before her body even hit the ground, Gray was already collecting her blood. He worked quickly, knowing that Aslan's army would soon overrun the battlefield. As the Queen's forces collapsed in disarray, their morale shattered by her death, Gray stood over her lifeless body, extracting the last few drops of blood with precision.
The battle was over, the Queen's once formidable army now broken and scattered. Aslan, in his towering lion form, approached the scene with calm certainty. He looked down at the fallen Queen before turning his gaze toward Gray. "It is finished?" Aslan's deep voice resonated with authority. Gray stood, wiping the blood from his hands, and nodded. "Yes, it's done. Hopefully, that will be the end of it."
Aslan's gaze shifted upward toward the fiery phoenix, still circling the battlefield. "You know," Gray said with a smirk, "if you ask him nicely, he might give you some of his feathers." He chuckled, half-joking as he watched the majestic bird soar through the sky. Aslan smiled faintly, nodding in approval. "You have done well."

Days later, in the grand halls of Cair Paravel, the coronation of the Pevensies took place. The atmosphere was one of triumph and hope. Aslan, with great reverence, crowned each of the siblings, solidifying their place as the rulers of Narnia. The horns blared, and the hall erupted in cheers as Aslan declared, "Once a king or queen of Narnia, always a king or queen."
Gray stood by a window, watching the ceremony from a distance. Aslan caught his eye, nodding in silent acknowledgment of his efforts. Gray returned the gesture before transforming into his Animagus form, thinking, "Well, that was eventful." Which was an understatement. Gray went as far as to ask every magical creature, such as trolls, ogres, gryphons, dryads, naiads, giants, satyrs, and fauns, even the phoenix. This was in return for declining to be crowned and for slaying the queen. So you can imagine how happy he was as he made his way back to the original site where he was teleported. "Hopefully, I make it back before the school year starts," he thought, looking forward to all the new materials he had to experiment with.
-scene change-
Back on Earth, in the bustling streets of Diagon Alley, Gray found himself shopping for auxiliary ingredients. He marveled at the fact that not a single day had passed since his journey into Narnia. "Not even a trace," he muttered to himself, amused by the Ministry of Magic's ignorance of his activities. If things had gone differently, he might have stayed in Narnia forever, growing stronger using the world's unique resources.
But for now, he was back, ready to dive into his next experiment. With all the new magical materials he had collected from Narnia—phoenix feathers, giant blood, and more—his mind raced with possibilities. The new school year was about to begin, and Gray had a wealth of new opportunities before him. He was going to do whatever he could to get closer to his goal, but his current objective was singular: to break his natural limit. With his new ingredients, Gray was on the road to success, and he thought it was going to be easy, but just making permanent potions to reach his absolute limit was hard enough—not to mention making the actual potion itself, which took time, money, and most importantly, his sleep. This meant Gray was back to his sleepless self again.
-scene change-
As the Hogwarts Express blew its horn, the scene unfolded on Platform Nine and Three-Quarters, where a milling horde of students gathered. Parents hurried their children onboard while tiny siblings waved their goodbyes. Amidst the throng, Mr. Weasley dashed up to an open train window, calling out, "Ron!" Mrs. Weasley handed Scabbers through the window, ensuring her son's pet was safely on board. Moments later, inside the Hogwarts Express, the aisle teemed with students as Harry, Ron, and Hermione made their way down, searching for an empty compartment.
"I didn't mean to blow her up. I just..." Harry began, troubled by the memory. "Lost control." Ron chimed in, "Brilliant!" but Hermione shook her head, admonishing, "Honestly, Ron, it's not funny. Harry's lucky he wasn't expelled." Ron insisted, "I still think it was brilliant." Suddenly, a copy of The Monster Book of Monsters scuttled crab-like down the aisle, pursued by Neville Longbottom. "Hi, Harry. Ron. Hermione," Neville greeted them as he bumped past, prompting Hermione to nod toward a compartment, saying, "C'mon. We're in here."

A/N Well, that was Narnia. He didn't even explore the world much, as he was focused on pushing his limits and collecting ingredients. However, there are still two Narnia movies left, and he will eventually explore the world of Narnia. After all, there are some powerful magical apples he needs to acquire, so this isn't the last time you'll see Narnia, nor is it a deep dive into this universe.
P.S.: The third year is when the main villain's organization will make an appearance. I already have everything figured out about this group—their history, leaders, ranks, HQ, powers—everything. Of course, I won't introduce everything all at once, as they are the endgame organization.
