A massive wave of magic was released as soon as the potion was opened, so Gray wasted no time and drank it. When he did, everything went silent—so silent that Gray began to hear his own blood and heartbeat before even those sounds faded. His body began breaking down to the molecular level until he was completely gone—well, not completely. What remained was a core that contained magic from all the wizards in the Harry Potter world. That core cracked, hardened, and expanded into a literal domain containing a seed—a seed embodying the concept of alchemy, which was especially the concept of change. Suddenly, something appeared: a liquid that quickly turned metallic, then crystallized, and finally became organic. This organic form reshaped itself into a human boy who appeared around 15 years old, with alabaster skin, snow-white hair, and dark pupils. A robe materialized around the figure, clearly Gray, who had magically ascended.

Gray felt an unimaginable surge of power, despite losing all the enhancements granted by his potions. "Everything I worked so hard for is gone," he thought to himself, expecting to feel weak and feeble. Yet, he felt stronger than ever, sensing everything within his new domain. "A domain of change—my domain, where I reign supreme," he thought, smiling, he looked around, He tested his abilities by commanding, "Mundare," and the bloody battlefield instantly cleaned itself as if no battle had ever occurred, all valuable blood and flesh as well bones neatly packet themselves. Then, he said, "Crescere," and red flowers and lush vegetation began to grow, flourishing under his command. Satisfied with his control, gray then watched as the domain changed itself, from icy mountain terrain, to a field of glasses, then to a molten laval area, "its beautiful" he muttered to himself as he watched his ever changed domain, he retracted his domain and tested his magic further, saying, "Domus lignea constructa," conjuring a wooden house. However, this drained his magic, leading him to conclude that magic was limitless within his domain but consumed energy outside of it, since his magic was so potent now that its consumption was great.

Gray pondered this revelation and noted that his domain likely obstructed foresight into his future. He sensed an ancient and familiar force within him, beyond even the Kwamis he knew. This prompted him to take out the dark egg, now heavily cracked. Smiling, he poured his newly evolved magic—true magic—into the egg, which radiated an endless sea of potent energy. Plants around him grew uncontrollably as the egg absorbed his raw magic. Hours passed, yet Gray's vast power did not diminish. Finally, the egg began to crack, and Gray stopped, watching intently as a dark raven with purple-black feathers emerged. The bird looked at Gray and seemed to recognize him instantly.

"You're awake. You've been asleep for a while," Gray said softly. The raven, Rachel, tilted her head, confused. "Yeah, I don't know why you turned into a raven either," he added, "but maybe it's because of self yourself." She shook her head, signaling that wasn't her concern. "You're wondering why you're alive?" he asked, and Rachel nodded. He explained, "Turns out the old folks left me something that allowed me to bring you back in this form." He grinned. "Also, I evolved my magic using dew condensed from the world of the Witcher." Rachel gave him a knowing look before asking about Trigon. "He's sealed for now, but I know he'll return. I'll prepare as much as I can," Gray promised. When she remembered the Boggart from his third year, her expression turned distraught, but Gray reassured her with a smile. Finally, he turned to the mountain and, with a playful smirk, said in Latin, "O mons, descende ad magnitudinem formicae"—and the mountain shrank to the size of an ant.

Raven looked at Gray, then at the miniature mountain he was holding, and back at him before sighing, which shouldn't have been possible in her raven form. She noticed him smiling like an idiot, which made her smile too, albeit on the inside. Finally, Ciri, along with Geralt and Yennefer, appeared, looking confused as Gray gazed at them. "I thought you would have been at the end of the continent by now," he said, taking the trio aback. Ciri was the first to recognize him. "You... what happened to you?" she asked. He replied, "Oh, this? I gave up some powers of mine, so now I look like what a 15-year-old should look like." As Ciri approached him, she noticed something—Gray no longer had that sense of detachment, as if everyone else were merely characters and he was an audience. For once, he looked normal, though brooding, which made Ciri question.

"Your appearance isn't the only thing that's changed, is it?" she asked, which made Gray chuckle briefly, further shocking the trio, especially Ciri. "Well, I was in a bad mood for a while," he admitted. Yennefer interjected, "You took on the entire continent's armies and won. Who are you?" Gray pulled out his staff and replied, "Oh, my name is Gray Knight, and I am not a knight despite what I look like—" He paused, remembering something. "Right, well, anyway, I am a wizard," he said in a cheerful tone. Ciri took a couple of steps back. "You really changed, huh?" she remarked, surprising Geralt as well. Ciri had told him stories of Gray, but this version of him was entirely different. Ciri took a deep breath and said, "So this is the true you, huh?" as she began circling him—a big mistake, as Rachel's form shifted.

Rachel grew in size, transforming into a larger raven with four glowing eyes, and landed on Gray's head. This startled Geralt and Ciri, who stepped back cautiously. Gray intervened quickly. "Relax, this is Rachel. Rachel Roth," he introduced the raven, who looked unimpressed as she cast a glance at them. Gray continued, "Rachel, this is Cirilla of Cintra," shocking Ciri further. He turned to Geralt and Yennefer. "This is Geralt of Rivia and Yennefer of Vengerberg," he said. Yennefer commented, "You are something else, aren't you?" Rachel then shrank in size, landing on Gray's staff and soaking up the energy of the arcane stone. As Gray stroked Rachel's head, Ciri had a realization. "Is she why you fought againts the continent? Why you waited at that mountain against everyone and everything?" she asked. This question made Gray go quiet, like he often did when Ciri asked personal questions.

A/N finally, its time to move on to the next part of the story, in terms of power i mean, and trust me, that was not all the domain could do, he didn't even use 0.01% of the domain powers as you will see later on, and don't worry he collected every single material. lastly, if you don't like the fact that all the powers is gone, at least I made sure it made sense, eh, its a potion, and he can create it again.
