Chapter 336: Chapter 336 : Days Of The Past 1

After ensuring Grindelwald and President Picquery were gone, Orion turned back to Newt, Elenora, Tina, and Credence, his face calm but his gaze piercing.

"Now," he began, folding his arms, "There is too much chaos regarding those suitcases." His eyes shifted to Credence, who looked down, visibly exhausted and confused regarding what he has heard all this time. Orion softened slightly. "Credence, I know you didn't ask for any of this. But you need to understand that this power is your Obscurus. It's dangerous, and it's drawing people with intentions that aren't in your best interest."

Credence glanced up, a spark of hope flickering across his troubled face.

"You knew that I was the monster ?" He only asked this much. Seems like he didn't take much about anything else but his own condition.

"Sigh... that honestly is a long story. Do you want to hear it now ?" Orion had a headache.

It was already very messy when it came to this man's magical power and background. It doens't help the fact that they both share the same name now.

"Yes..." Credence almost immediately replied, his answer was firm and on point. It was clear that he wanted to know about his history and his family.

"Okay..." Orion nodded, his expression softening as he saw the lost look in the young man's eyes finally lit up with hope. He took a deep breath, knowing the weight of what he was about to reveal.

"Credence," he began gently, "you were born with incredible magic, much like many in your family. When you were a child, you were lost actually, never abundant.

Only after one year of you birth, you were taken away from your birth place by your aunt. You were brought here.

But besides that, even I am not aware of what really happened. Just as I said, lost.

Of course, they try to find you but...

You remember when I said that I was here to find someone. Someone like me..." Orion said and this much was enough to make everything click in Credence's head.

His eyes were now fixed on Orion. He understood what Orion meant, this meant.

"Wick..." He muttered to himself but Orion caught that and before the strange thought took root inside him, Orion stopped him.

"The name of your family is a little troublesome to say here, let's talk afterwards." Orion immeidately replied he was after all in disguise as John Wick.

And now if Credence thinks that they both are related then his name also should be Wick?

Troublesome...

Credence looked down, processing this painful truth.

Orion continued, "The people around you feared what they didn't understand. Some magical children, when they can't control their power, become Obscurials. It's what happens when magic is suppressed when it's forced into darkness. And unfortunately, that's what happened to you. But I assure you're no monster, you are just as much human as any of us."

Credence's expression shifted from sadness to anger and hurt and finally calm. Though he didn't agree with his fate up to this point but he was at least now at peace about his own identity.

Orion could see the pain behind his eyes—the weight of years spent searching for acceptance, only to find rejection.

"You are powerful, yes, but that doesn't mean you're destined to destroy. There are people—people like Newt, Tina, and myself—who understand that power and want to help you, not use you."

Orion placed a reassuring hand on Credence's shoulder. "Your story doesn't have to end in anger or destruction. You have a choice, Credence, and the power to find your own path."

Orion said and finally stopped talking. Giving Credence time to digest everything he said, later he also has to tell about his relationship with two of the strongest wizards of the world.

Of course, he was talking about himself and Dumbledore.

'Man... calling myself Dumbledore really rubs me in the wrong way...'

And then he turn towards Elenora, Newt and Tina.

"Now about those Briefcases." Orion said gaing their attention back to him.

"Alright, let's clear this up," he said. "Newt, when you first arrived in New York, your briefcase got swapped by mistake with a man named Jacob. Jacob was just an ordinary person, a Non-Mag, who happened to cross paths with you. Somehow, he ended up with your briefcase, the one filled with your magical creatures."

Newt's eyes widened. "That's why I found baked goods instead of my creatures!" he exclaimed.

Orion nodded. "Exactly. Jacob's briefcase looked similar to yours, and you must have accidentally taken his instead. But it didn't end there. Later, Jacob unknowingly switched the briefcase yet again, this time with Elenora here," he gestured toward her.

Elenora's expression was a mix of surprise and realization. "So, I had Newt's creatures with me all along?

"Yes," Orion confirmed. "When I realized how much potential danger was in that briefcase, I tried to track you both down. Newt's creatures are magical, powerful beings. If they escaped, they could easily cause havoc in the city, not to mention with Credence's condition, attracting Auror's attention towards Magical Creature wreaking havoc was the last thing I wanted, we didn't need more chaos."

Tina crossed her arms, still processing everything. "So that's why you were so insistent on retrieving the briefcase."

Orion nodded. "Yes. Newt, your creatures are incredible, but they're also unfamiliar to a lot of people here. If they accidentally got out, it would have put everyone at risk—magical and non-magical alike. I wasn't trying to interfere with your work, just making sure the situation didn't get out of hand."

Newt looked at Orion, a bit of gratitude in his expression. "Thank you for watching out for them. I care about those creatures, but I hadn't realized the mess this briefcase swap would cause."

Orion smiled slightly. "No worries, Newt. Now that we've cleared up the mix-up, can you please give back the Mr Newt his briefcase, Ms Elenora?"

Everyone looked at each other, finally understanding the whole situation. "Ah sorry, hmm here you can have it back." Elenora said, handing over the briefcase back to Newt.
