"Who are you, really? Can you tell me?" Erica blinked at Alexander. Her captivating eyes might have ensnared a weaker-willed person, but fortunately, Alexander was made of sterner stuff.
"My name is Alexander, just a human," he replied simply.
Despite the simplicity of his introduction, Erica sensed there was much more to him. But since he had answered her question, she knew better than to press further. This was the advantage of dealing with intelligent people.
At that moment, Athena floated over, holding a stone tablet. She glanced curiously at the pair, who seemed to be exchanging meaningful looks. Tilting her head, she asked, "Did something happen? Did I miss anything?"
"Ahem, no, nothing at all," Alexander stammered, blushing slightly. He quickly shifted his gaze to the stone tablet in Athena's hand.
The tablet was ancient and worn, with an air of deep history. However, Alexander was more interested in its true value than in its antiquity.
"A white Stallion? Athena, you… did you kill Kusanagi Godou?" Alexander asked, surprised. He had been wondering why he hadn't seen the mc. Could it be that Athena had already dealt with him?
Alexander wasn't particularly concerned about Kusanagi Godou's fate, but Athena shook her head.
"No, I didn't kill him. Without this tablet, he's just an ordinary person. Since I promised you I'd leave this world, I won't take any more innocent lives," Athena replied calmly.
Though she was a god of disobedience, she still adhered to her own principles.
Hearing this, Alexander nodded in agreement. Without the white horse, even Kusanagi Godou, with all his protagonist's luck, wouldn't stand a chance against the God of War.
As he considered this, Alexander turned his attention back to Erica. But as she listened to their conversation, Erica was stunned.
"Wait… did you just call her Athena?"
"You must have misheard. I said Banana," Alexander quickly denied.
"Do you think I'm blind and deaf? I know what I heard—you definitely called her Athena!" Erica shot him a sharp look.
Athena on the other hand asked innocently, "Why did you call me Banana? What does that mean?"
"See? Even she's confused," Alexander said, trying to deflect.
But Erica wasn't convinced. "Hold on… does that mean this little girl is actually… the legendary goddess Athena?"
Realizing the truth, Erica's eyes widened in shock. "The God of Disobedience—Athena!" she exclaimed. Instinctively, she reached for her weapon, ready to attack. But before she could act, Alexander stepped in calmly.
He approached Athena, took the tablet from her hands, and patted her head affectionately. "Well done, Athena. I'll treat you to ice cream later."
Athena silently held up two fingers, making a "V" gesture. "I want two scoops," she said.
"It'll upset your stomach," Alexander cautioned.
"It doesn't matter—I'm a goddess," she replied confidently.
"Alright, alright. How about taro and strawberry?" Alexander offered.
"Yes," Athena nodded obediently and stepped aside without another word.
Erica watched this interaction in disbelief. "This… is really the legendary Athena? The goddess of wisdom and victory?" she murmured, completely baffled. Weren't the Gods of Disobedience supposed to be lofty, arrogant, and cruel? But this legendary goddess… she seemed more like the girl next door.
"Wait a minute… if this goddess respects him so much, who exactly is this man?"
Erica still couldn't fully comprehend what was happening, but one thing was clear: Alexander was no ordinary person!
As she pondered this, a strange phenomenon began to unfold on the island of Sardinia. Perhaps it was because the wild boar had been defeated. Suddenly, a phoenix engulfed in flames soared across the sky. On the ground, bizarre creatures—camels, goats, and bulls—ran wild. Their target was an extraordinarily handsome young man floating in the sky.
When Alexander looked up and saw the figure, a smile played at the corners of his mouth.
"Athena, did you see that? One of our targets has appeared."
"Yes," Athena nodded, then asked, "Do you need my help?"
"No, I can handle this on my own," Alexander replied confidently.
