Chapter 76
[76] A Suspicious Sign in the Land of Spells (1)
Saturn rises in a cylindrical shape as if the whole earth had been raised. It seemed impossible to climb more than 300 meters high.
“Wonderful terrain.”
Ramfil also looked at the high wall and said a short expression, even though the sight in front of him was part of nature, it was quite supernatural.
“The name of Saturn is not just a name.”
Leona stares blankly at the moon, frozen. I didn’t think that having the majesty of heaven meant that it was really almost touching the sky. Of course, Leona didn’t know the meaning of the moon at first.
A few kilometers in diameter showed an overwhelming landscape that could not be completely explained by any word.
“I wonder how this land came to be.”
It was a strange sight to be seen as nature’s greatness, so Ramfil cleared up the honest questions. There are many things in the world that we do not understand, and even though we still have little experience in the world, we all knew that this view is strange.
“It’s unnatural, isn’t it? It’s an enchanted environment.”
“Spell?”
“Can magic do this?”
Lamfil and Leona both questioned. Leona has seen the power of magic firsthand, but Ramfildo was known as a savage native to the wilderness. Of course, Gin felt some sense of the mysterious power of magic, but it was also hard to believe that this was possible through magic.
But Gene said as if it wasn’t a big deal.
“This land was raised with the power of a shaman at the height of the sky, but it’s funny.”
“What are you talking about?”
“Hmm, someone who’s reached the top of the shaman list. In other words, it is also called the Emperor.”
“Why did you create this environment?”
This high space seemed unnecessary to Ramfil.
“It’s a sealed immortal place. There’s nothing good about getting in and out.”
So, to achieve the inevitability, Saturn needed to build this fortress of celestial grace on purpose. This overwhelming environment is therefore safe from shouting. Ramfil thinks this kind of work is impossible for Wargrave as well.
“The world…. It’s so spacious.”
One shaman can create a land like this. And Wargrave doesn’t even care about that. Wargrave is actually a frog in a well. Ramfil was starting to think that.
Leona discusses the most realistic issues.
“So, how do you get up there?”
“… On second thought.”
If there are stairs, I can’t climb the armored car. I can’t see any stairs. Gene pointed at the wall like it was a section.
“We have to climb. We have to leave the armored car here.”
“…… What?”
“It’s not that hard.”
“It seems difficult and not an easy problem…”
Leona had a pale complexion, and she was tired of being a Lamfil, not a matter of not being a Lamfil, but of what kind of position she was in.
“Satellite is built to build a place that is hard for anyone to access. It’s weird to have a gate or something.”
Until just now, the cliffs of Saturn, which had been amazing natural landscapes, were turning into cliffs of nightmares.
Eventually, I couldn’t go in an armored car. Leona looks back at the armored car, reliving her anxiety.
“Why don’t you get in the armored car?”
“Say something that makes sense.”
“What if some scumbag steals it?”
“It has a password. You can smash it, but you can’t drive it.”
But if someone actually rips off the armored car, they lose their only mode of transportation.
“I needed an armored car to get here anyway. We can’t afford to lose it.”
In front of the sharpened cliffs, Gin’s hands are tapered. I don’t have any professional climbing gear, but barehanded rock climbing isn’t that difficult with Gene and Ramfil’s grip. Gene smashes the items in his coat into the basin, then wraps the black coat around it like a sack.
Leonardo and Ramfil became fierce looking at that quite amusing figure.
“I’m not doing this because I like it. Get on your back.”
“Well, yeah…”
Leona leans on Jean’s neck. Of course, even though they were able to climb the rock, Leona was not. One of them had to carry Leona, Jin and Ramfil. Gin had a good coat to wear as a sack, and now Leona is hanging on Gin’s back like a child.
Leona laughs to see if she’s feeling well.
“Wow, that’s comfy.”
“You’ll fit right in. Let’s go.”
“Sure.”
Tuck!
Scared of clinging to a rock wall, Gin and Ramfil begin to climb a jagged cliff. Leona stares down at Jean’s neck and becomes pale, not more than a minute later.
“Mi, crazy….”
From now on, the ground is far away. Leona mutters, holding Gin’s neck tightly with her arms.
“Ahjussi. Joe, you scared the shit out of me already?”
Fear was not a joke, as he hung on the back of a man who climbed a cliff depending on his arms and legs without safety. Every time Gin stepped on a rock wall and climbed up the wall like a spider, she would literally pee.
“Slow down!”
It’s been Leona since then, but Jin and Ramfil are skillfully climbing the rocks. After five minutes of rock climbing, Leona closed her eyes and tightly hugged Gin’s neck, not even saying she was afraid.
“Fuck… Shit… Shit…”
However, all the insults he knew with his eyes closed were only serving sin.
It took about an hour for the two of them to climb a rock wall. Upon arriving at the top, Gene and Ramfil purged their hands and feet of dirt from their clothes as if something had happened to them. As soon as Leona took off her sack, she fell to the ground and flinched and could not get up.
Leona speaks slowly, almost breathtaking.
“Ah…. I feel a little tired….”
“!”
In awe of Leona’s words, Gene pats his back. It was warm, but not damp.
“Oh, you’re sweating.”
Luckily, Leona didn’t do anything bad, and sighed for relief.
It’s hard to carry, but it’s not easy to carry. The back is a carved cliff, and Leona barely wakes up after a distance from the creased gear cliff. Leona staggers to see if her whole body aches.
“This is also… You look so different.”
The top of the moon was not flat, but in the shape of a basin. A hollow basin down there was an abundance of timber in a pristine meadow without any ruins.
Like the tranquil villages of people living in seclusion in the world, there was a placid view without any crisis or sorrow. There were no people, no armed men, in the vast fields.
To be precise, it was closer to a self-sustaining point than the castle itself. Leona is once again stunned by the peaceful landscape, as if there were no external threats.
Well-built wooden houses were blending in like they had melted into nature, although not orderly. There are numerous plants growing in the broad basin, and these people don’t seem to be having any problems with their own people. Gene takes the first step.
“Let’s go.”
“Isn’t there a gatekeeper or something?”
“I don’t need that.”
“Looks like they’re watching out for us.”
“You can explain it well. Follow me.”
The camp is ahead, Ramfil follows, and Leona scowls behind. Yet, the people of Saturn seem unaware that a stranger has arrived. Surprisingly, even the animals lived in the forest surrounding the basin. There was nothing unusual about it as it was a fairly large basin, but small animals, including squirrels, sparrows and other animals, were wandering around.
“Something…. That’s weird.”
Leona felt a peculiar feeling, seeing such a peculiar, well-decorated little nature. Although it is spacious, no one can enter here and no one can leave here. However, I was surprised that this ecology lasted for a long time.
It seemed that the ecosystem that could only live here would be artificially designed.
After crossing the forest, there was a field where people worked. Crops such as soybeans, barley, rice, sweet potatoes, potatoes, eggplant, pepper, etc. were planted sparsely in large fields, so many crops were being cultivated.
Then the three escaping the forest encounter Anak, who was hanging his steam.
The appearance of a stranger who did not deserve to arrive here, so she could be afraid, but the woman stood up with a gentle smile and bowed her head to the three of them.
“Greetings, Stranger. How can He climb up the wall of fate and come to the Son, who is the care of the heavenly body?”
Anak’s peculiar tone stiffens his tongue, as well as Lamfil’s. Gene was ahead, by the way.
“I am thankful to the Heavenly Emperor for his good health, and I hope you will forgive me for breaking the rules of the ancient arts by coming to this heavenly castle.”
“It’s rare for a guest to know the example of the heavens. What brings you here?”
Anak had a gentle look on his face. Although he was dressed modestly, he was showing that he was not extraordinary in formal attire and horse seed.
“I want to ask you about the rod.”
However, Anak’s face, who was gentle, was slightly stiff. To be precise, it was the face of someone who faced something that was out of their hands. Anak bows his head.
“I don’t think that’s something I should be involved with. The Lord is in the Supreme Court.”
Anak says so, then calmly seats down and starts to steam again. Gene gestures at the group to follow. Careful not to step on the crops, three of you head towards the center of the moon.
“W-what’s going on?”
“I don’t get it either, something…. It’s a strange atmosphere.”
“They are those who carry out their duties without embarrassment because everything comes from nature. The man we just saw must have been a bit of a lamb.”
“I don’t understand much more. What the hell is this place?”
Just as an abnormal amount of calmness floated through the air, Leona was looking at Leona, Jean, and Ramfil with her naturally lowered head as if it was strange for people to find their own work.
“Hmm…. People who clean up the roads. I’d say it’s halfway between the Shaman and the Shaman.”
“Religion?”
As far as Ramfil was concerned, all he could think about was religion. As there is still a group called the Twilight Cult, religion still exists or disappeared, but eternity has not been cut off.
“It’s like religion, but ultimately for the purpose of nurturing the inner self.”
“Everyone seems to be living in the world.”
Jean laughed at Leona’s expression, expressing all the nurturing people as living people to gain enlightenment. The people of Saturn passed by them, whether or not they were warm to the Gentiles, but showed a mixed smile of the lake.
But the scene was quite heterogeneous, so I was wondering what happened to the two except Gene. Above all, Ramfil was confident in the fight, but his attitude and atmosphere were quite unfamiliar.
“Hmm…. Well, they’re not just unusual people. After all, it’s not just the people on the satellite that are mind-feeding.”
“Why?”
“A book, in the middle or in the end, you have your own words to sing outside, right?”
Leona and Ramfil stare at Gin and spit out what’s new about Gin.
“Shaman.”
“What?!”
That meant that everyone on the satellite was a shaman.
Leona’s eyes widen as if she had never imagined.
“This land was built by a heavenly shaman in the first place, and it’s even weirder for civilians than shamans.”
“Well, yeah…”
So, it’s not weird that everyone on this entire satellite is a shaman. Leona thought a shaman would wear a skeleton necklace and have a staff with a lot of strange ornaments. However, many people around him did not look much different than just farmers or husbandry.
“I have to live a really long time.”
Leona nods, admiring and agreeing.
“You’ve got a long life ahead of you.”
I was starting to realize that there are many strange things in the world, but I also realized that there are many things that are hard to imagine.
Most of the buildings on Saturn are wooden, drinking water is rainwater, and meals are mostly agricultural.
“Peace on the other side of Fortress.”
“The standard of affluence is different.”
Fortress was well-stocked with all the supplies and nearly all the amenities. So, if we could live a perfect life, Saturn would be perfect in a slightly different way.
If Leona had all the supplies she needed, it seemed that she had adjusted the criteria for people’s overflow.
There is no overflow here, but there is no shortage. If people’s expressions were relaxed and people could smile at passers-by, this would also be a good place.
After all, if satisfaction is the goal, it is either to have enough satisfaction or to lower the criteria for satisfaction. Saturn was a different settlement from Fortress in that respect.
This is a small world, but there are still quite a few places to live, Leona thought.
“Sorcery, if you think about it, seems like quite a few.”
“… I have no idea.”
“Look, something like that.”
Leona notices something in the ambience of the great river, but of course, Ramfil, who is completely blinded by magic, has no sense of what Leona understands.
It was like a gold leash on a doorstep or a lion hanging from a wooden door hook. Everything big and small had magical significance.
“What the hell was that like…?”
Of course, Ramfil shook his head because he did not know why such symbols and covers were spelled and related. Leona was curious about Gene’s ability to recognize the magic device.
“I don’t think I’ve ever taught you that. How do you know?”
Maybe you’re feeling the energy from the magic device. Leona, the witch, asked Jean, just in case it was possible.
Leona grins as if there’s something big going on.
“You look like shit. Then it must mean something.”
“…… It’s a non-verbal point of view, but it seems plausible.”
Gin bursts into laughter, admiring Leona’s candlelight purely.
