Hunter, Thank You For Your Blood Donation!

Vol. 1 Chapter 2.1 - A Strange Cohabitation with a Natural Enemy (1)

≫ What happened yesterday, Vampi-nim?

≫ Did you get caught red-handed while doing something embarrassing? LOL

≫ Seriously~~ LOL

≫ Please send that person away;

≫ Seriously, what happened??

≫ Yesterday was a sudden rampage, totally rude…ㅜㅜ

As Si-wol turned on the broadcast, a chat message immediately popped up asking about yesterday’s situation. Si-wol looked at the chat and bit his lower lip a few times before forcing a smile.

“I’ll do a clarification broadcast─. First of all, I’m really sorry. Yesterday, the monitor fell over because the cord got caught on the chair wheel.”

He laid out the facts first and then added a little lie.

“So the webcam got broken and the monitor got smashed. I did go out in a hurry to buy new ones… But I’m sorry for the sudden rampage. It wasn’t intentional, so please forgive me just this once! Instead, I’ll play the game you all want today. Please recommend one.”

≫ You have to finish exploring the Shadow Corridor!

≫ A new character for Dead by Daylight has been released!!!! Please play it!!

≫ Amnesia is being distributed for free, LOL.

≫ Dark Deception was soooo scary.

Si-wol let out a sigh of relief as he read the incoming chat messages. Fortunately, no one asked further about what happened yesterday, allowing him to barely conceal the situation.

≫ Did Hunter-nim go to donate blood?

≫ What’s the sign of Hunter-nim? How many times did he give it?

≫ The blood has already been sucked dry, RIP.

≫ ▶◀ Mourning

≫ Will Hunter-nim come back again?

≫ ㅠㅠ I miss you already~~

≫ First day of lovesickness.

As the chat messages poured in, all seeking a man who was truly a hunter, Si-wol felt a wave of panic. His fingertips stiffened, and he clenched his lips tightly. Afraid of being discovered by the viewers, he couldn’t even turn his gaze away and instead focused his attention on the person sitting next to him, who was clearly visible despite not turning his head.

‘The person you all are searching for… has been staring at me as if he wants me dead from the blind spot!’

An indescribable tension filled the air, making Si-wol’s throat feel constricted. The man had been out of the camera’s view even before the broadcast started. With his muscular arms crossed, he meticulously observed every move Si-wol made, dissecting them into nanoseconds.

‘Well, I guess he can’t fully trust me…’

Si-wol lowered the corners of his eyebrows as he recalled the events of last night.

「I-I will… be your weapon.」

He thought that he uttered a truly ridiculous remark to the man. How much did he want to live that he begged the hunter to use him as a weapon? Betraying even his own kind in the process.

Honestly, he didn’t believe that such incoherent rambling would come out of his mouth even as he said it. If the man were to believe in this, it would be nothing short of a miracle.

But astonishingly, that miracle happened.

「One month.」

「…Excuse me?」

「How many can you attract in one month?」

The man asked, as if assessing the situation. Si-wol realized the fact that he had shown a willingness to agree to the his absurd proposal. It was quite surprising. Not only was the man’s sudden question surprising, but also the implied meaning behind it.

‘Are you really willing to team up with me?’

Even hearing it was hard to believe.

Si-wol was well aware of the cruelty of vampire hunters. They were said to show no mercy to vampires, ruthlessly driving a stake through them without considering any circumstances. Not only that, but he had also heard that they enjoyed watching vampires suffer and die agonizingly after being injected with silver.

But this man was willing to listen to his words. Perhaps because he had no expectations whatsoever after uttering them, Si-wol was taken aback and couldn’t come up with a proper response.

「Ah, um… Well, that’s…」

「I’m currently considering that killing you right now would be more beneficial.」

「W-Wait a moment!! O-One month? One month, one month…」

It felt like everything was spinning before his eyes. He didn’t have the luxury to calmly think about how many of his kind he could bring before him. Si-wol hurriedly started counting on his fingers.

「Two, two people!」

「…Two people?」

Feeling the urgency in the tone that seemed to question if that was all, Si-wol quickly changed his words.

「No! Th-Three people! Three people! I-I can bring three people!」

「What makes you think a half-blood like you, who doesn’t even receive treatment as a fellow, can confidently claim to bring in three of them?」

It was a valid question. Just a moment ago, he had complained about being ostracized by the group, and now he was boasting about being able to bring in three people within a month. However, Si-wol was a vampire who was known for his cunning and quick thinking.

「I have a way! I know of a vampire who can send me a fellow vampire…」

Phew

…”

Si-wol, who had returned from his reminiscence and back to reality, let out a deep sigh, trying to calm his racing breath.

Just thinking about yesterday made him feel drained and shattered. The fear of death, which had come so close, lingered in his body. Even now, he couldn’t completely escape from that fear, and pretending to be unfazed in front of his enemy made it even more terrifying.

With a tired smile, Si-wol answered the viewers who were searching for the man.

“Hunter-nim safely donated blood and left. It was a good deed before leaving for immigration.”

≫ Aww, that’s too bad…

≫ Aren’t you going to play games?

≫ Instead of holding onto the person who left, let’s play games~~~~~

≫ I heard the new Resident Evil is fun!!!

As Si-wol continued to give his pre-planned responses, the viewers quickly forgot about the man and focused on the broadcast.

“Since I’m not feeling well today, I won’t be able to play the new game… I’ll continue with the Shadow Corridor.”

Si-wol raised his weary hand and grabbed the mouse. He then aimlessly clicked on the empty desktop screen.

‘I don’t have the energy to stream…’

In truth, after the intense events of yesterday, he didn’t feel like streaming for a while. Not only was he unable to feed on the hunter and replenish his strength, but he also couldn’t drink blood to his heart’s content. He felt his body rapidly weakening. The weight of the world felt heavy on his shoulders, and even the simple act of moving the mouse felt burdensome.

However, he couldn’t stop streaming. In order to stay alive, he had to offer a fellow vampire to the hunter, and to attract that fellow vampire, he needed a new blood donor.

With a resigned expression, Si-wol moved the mouse to turn on the game. But then, a small notification appeared at the bottom of the monitor, accompanied by a messenger message window. It was from ‘Ryu Je-mun’, the only vampire Si-wol contacted, and his source of blood packs.
