Hunter x Hunter: Desire Manifest [EN]

Chapter 7: Chapter 7

"I-I thought I was going to die..." Biscuit lay on the shore as she stared at the sky. Her breath was still ragged. If Ives hadn't saved her, she would have died by now.

"That was probably the biggest fish I've ever seen. Luckily, we survived; good job, Biscuit." Ives chuckled. Despite the horror of the fight, this really pumped him up.

In the old world, Megalodon was already extinct, and it was rare to encounter a shark or any fish of such a large size. Whether that shark was a Megalodon or not was not important; what was important now was that they were both alive.

"W-wait! I forgot the jewelry box!" Biscuit suddenly jumped up while holding her head. The expression of relief was no longer visible on her face, replaced by annoyance and grief.

"Calm down, Biscuit." Ives tried to calm her down.

"How can I be calm?! I would fail this test if I couldn't get that box!" Biscuit held his shoulders while shaking him with an irritated expression.

"Relax, look." As Biscuit grew more worried, Ives took out the girl's jewelry box.

"W-what?! Wow, thank you! I thought I was going to fail." Biscuit hugged the box like it was her own sister.

"I got it for you, so what could I get in return?" His ferret smile was evident.

"Nothing, bleh~" Biscuit stuck out her tongue.

"Perhaps I was too kind to you." Ives suddenly hugged her waist and continued, "But that's okay. A hot-tempered and ungrateful girl is still my type." Lifting her chin, he kissed her directly.

After struggling, Biscuit finally escaped from the vicious monster's claw. She stared at him with an angry gaze as she blushed.

"Sorry to interrupt your fun, but I suggest you quickly hand over the jewelry box." Suddenly, a strange male voice was heard from behind.

Looking back, Biscuit and Ives recognized that the guy was a Hunter Exam participant just like them. The reason he came and asked for their jewelry box was obvious: This guy couldn't find his own and decided to snatch other participants' boxes.

"Huh? Didn't you hear me? Hand it over now, or you will suffer severe consequences." He pointed his knife while making a threatening expression.

"Great timing. I'm still angry at you, Ives, but I'm going to beat this guy up to vent my anger." She stared at that guy as she did a fist bump.

Without waiting for Ives, Biscuit stepped forward with a hunter's gaze.

"If that's what you want, then fine!" That knife guy ran forward while slashing his knife.

Biscuit stepped to the right calmly and grabbed his wrist. Pulling him in, Biscuit slammed him to the ground and locked the man's right arm into a submission position.

Ives watched the fight with his arms crossed. Never underestimate Biscuit. Although she had yet to master Nen, she had plenty of street fighting experience. Facing a small fry like this was as easy as swatting a fly.

With one movement, a Crack! sound echoed across the coast.

"Aahhh!!!" He screamed. His right arm was broken, and he began to writhe on the ground while enduring the pain.

"Phew~ Okay, now I'm relieved. Ives, let's go." Biscuit stood up while patting her hands.

Watching this girl brutally destroy her opponents, sometimes he doubted whether this girl was really a Transmuter...
