Chapter 10: Skyview Temple (2/2)
Having gotten out of the dome, Vexalia looked around, planning her next move, noticing a hole in the wall above a gated door, "Okay, this should be easier this time." She said to herslef, once again growing the beetle out of her palm and flying it into the hole, hitting the crystal hidden in it, and when the beetle came back into her body, Vexalia was already much better than earlier.
Now seeing out of her own eyes again, She was able to see that the gate opened, and was able to access the somewhat flodded hallway that led to a sealed gate, again with a chest and again with the same mechanism, "...How creative..." Vexalia sarcastically said, but noticed a third eye on the top, and she could barely get it to focus on the tip of her sword like the other two.
Going around the room, Vexalia managed to get to a higher floor in the room and found a crate, "This'll do." She thought as she pushed it down and brought it in front of the crate, climbing up it and managed to get all the eyes to spin and close, causing the gate to open, and inside the chest a small key, "There's a theme here." She commented.
Going out she climbed up and got out of the room and headed to the only locked door there, which is on the other side of a rope connected cliff and guarded by plants, "Fi?" She called out to the sword spirit, "These are Deku Babas, you can either cut their maws in half or cut them at the stem." She explained, prompting Vexalia to just hang onto the rope and move like that, avoiding the plants entirely.
On the other side she opened the door and proceeded further in the temple, when she then found a circular room with a locked door and a three headed snake thing in the middle, "The monster in front of you is known as a Staldra, it can only be killed if all three heads are destroyed at the same time." Fi explained, prompting Vexalia to try and quickly break all of the, actually succeeding in killing it.
Now allowed to continue, she reached a chasm, "What the fuck did this!?" Vexalia questioned Fi, "This was made only after Skyloft was ascended in the sky, and my knowledge halts at what happened before." The sword spirit explained.
Looking down at the bottom of the chasm, "That rock down there looks pretty... Green and black..." She comented before lifting her head to look at the other side of the chasm, "Okay, rope." She said deducing the obvious as she prepared to walk over it, but then noticed the monster on the other side, so to deal with them, she shot it with her slingshot to stun it long enough for her to get there.
Getting behind the monster, Vexalia gave it a push and it fell down the chasm, and now that she had free reign, she looked at the giant door behind her, "I'm guessing this is the last door..." She deduced, pausing when she noticed the absurd lock, "Key... Key..." She muttered, turning around to try and spot anything, "...There!" She exclaimed, seeing a weirdly ornate chest back on the other side of the chasm.
Having seen some of the vines she used to cross ciffs back in the woods coilded up in the branches, she made use of her slingshot again and shot the vines causing them to unfurl, allowing her to swing on them to the chest, get the weirdly shaped key inside and return to the door.
"How do I use this?" Vexalia questioned Fi, trying to figure out how to even insert the key, "You just need to allign it to insert it, it will do the rest by itself." The spirit explained, causing Vexalia to groan as she pretty much sucks at puzzles like this.
2 Hours Later.
"Finally!!" She exclaimed as she managed to put the key in the lock, causing it to disappear, "About time..." Fi whispered, feeling frustration for the first time in her existance, but not as much Vexalia did when she saw that Zelda wasn't in the room, and instead some guy.
"...It took you two hours to do that..." He said with a frown on his face, "I can't believe you're the chosen hero..." He added with a facepalm wondering if it was even worth it to deal with her, "No matter, you might still be a threat, so that leaves me, Demon Lord Ghirahim, to pave the way with your corpse!" He exclaimed.
Demon Lord Ghirahim.
Rushing up to close quarters, Vexalia swinged her sword aiming to cut off the demon's arm, but instead found her blade caught, by his hand, "Heh!" He laughed, thinking he had her, before getting a faceful of knuckles and a kick in the stomach, which didn't feel good for Vexalia, "THAT FUCKING HURTS!!" She lamented, holding her hand and hopping on one leg, feeling her cracked bones regenerating, "What are you made of!? Metal!?" She questioned, wondering what the hell that was about.
"Hmph!" Ghirahim let out as he summoned a sword, "Let's have a more fair fight." He said, taking a stance to parry any incoming blows, "So a defensive fighter huh?" Vexalia realized, changing her own stance to another, "So what's this?" Ghirahim asked, not really thinking she'd answer, "It's the stance to practice the element..." Vexalia dragged out.
Waiting amoment Ghirahim only got confused, "Of surpris-" He stopped talking when he got another punch to the face, "Of punches!" She corrected him as she kept punching him, "Stop! STOP!" He lamented, trying to parry with his sword, but in the end resorted to just jumping away, "GOD DAMNIT YOU **** FACE ***** **** LOOSENED *** HAVING *******!!!!" He cursed over and over, "...You good?" Vexalia asked, surprised that those words.
When he heard that question, Ghirahim turned to her angrily, "I. Am. NEVER. Fighting you directly AGAIN!!" He declared, "But remember! I wil get you one way or another!" He warned before teleporting away, "I think I see why the Goddess choose you Mistress..." Fi commented, knowing how said Goddess can be.
Going out the door that opened at the defeat of Ghirahim, Vexalia ended up in a spring, where she again expected to find Zelda, but still nothing, there was however an emblem like the one that let her access the surface in the first place, "Mistress, I can feel that Zelda was here, it would be ideal to take the fragment given by the emblem to gain access to more of the surface." Fi instructed.
Still wanting to find Zelda, Vexalia did the same as she did in the sky, getting another piece of tablet, "Guess this means going back to the sky..." She deduces, starting to go back to the entrance of the temple.
