Chapter 6: Way To Faron Woods
(No More POVs)
Vexalia finished climbing up the spiral with the aid of air geysers that opened up after she renewd the seal placed on the spike, "Now where do I go?" She wondered outloud, looking around for a way out of the area, when she laid eyes on a door, "There!" She concluded as she pushed it open and entered the decrepit temple.
In the temple, it was clear that it was abandoned for quite a long time, "Doubt Zelda would stick around for long..." Vexalia rationalized before she realized that the temple wasn't as abandoned as she thought at the sight of an old woman sitting on top of a ramp of stairs, "Ah... it appears that the Mighty Aberration has arrived..." The old woman said with a small smile.
Hearing that title made Vexalia frown, "Who are you calling aberration!?" She questioned clearly ticked off, "Apologies, I didn't realize you would get offended... It's just a nickname your creators gave you while you were beoing worked on." The old woman explained simply, "Creators?" Vexalia asked confused, "You will figure out more on your journey." The old woman reassured, "Anyhow, I saw someone who looked like you some time ago." She added.
"You did!?" Vexalia cheer-asked at the mention of Zelda having been there, "Yes." The old woman confirmed, looking at a door to the side, "She took the backdoor over there, it leads to Faron Woods, but be careful if you choose to follow, more and more monsters have been appearing." She warned, but it was for nothing as Vexalia went the moment thedoor was mentioned, "Of course." The old woman commented.
Out of the door, Vexalia stopped for a moment to hear the birds sing, "Never thought Loftwings so small would sound so pretty." She commented before hearing something that definetly wasn't birds, "Outta the way! Scram!" A rough voice exclaimed, followed by the sounds of fighting.
Running in the direction of the commotion, Vexalia saw a large rock creature-thingy fighting with a bunch of red monsters, "Oh good! Practice time!" She exclaimed as she pulled the Goddess Sword from it's sheate and dashed at the monsters, slicing one down and alerting the others, "Come on red and ugly as fuck!" She taunted, lifting the blade upwards to charge it light.
Bringing it back down, she shot a disk that cut through the weapons of two other monsters, allowing her to twirl and slice them with no issue, but got blocked by the third's weapon, "So you can fight? Cool!" She exclaimed before moving her sword in such a way that allowed her to hit the monster's hand, making it drop the weapon and leaving it open for the following decapitation.
"Hey buddy, you good?" Vexalia asked the rock creature, making it sighin relief since he realized she wasn't a threat, "Oh thank God, I was worried I'd have to fight you." He commented as he turned to a statue of a Loftwing, "Sorry for getting you caught up in that." He apologized as he went to said statue, "I'm Gorko, a Goron Archeologist, I was here because I heard of this temple, but I got investend in this statue and got ambushed." He explained.
Vexalia approached the statue aswell to check it out, "It looks like a Loftwing, who the hell made it?" She questioned, surprising Gorko, "The giant birds from the sky?" Gorko asked before getting distracted by the carvings in the statue glowing, "Woah! None of the other statues I found did that!" He exclaimed in surprise, "Sorry! I gotta go check the other statues! See you another time!" He said as he ran away.
"Mistress, these statues will allow you to get back to the sky whenever you want, so if you ever have a need to go resupply, you'll be able to." Fi explained from within the blade, "Good to know." Vexalia commented as she went on to follow the path to the Woods.
As she went on, she saw more of those red monsters assaulting a plant, "Good, more practice." She said with a smile as she attempted to spin at full speed and sliced all the monsters in half, "There we go." She said before focusing on the plant, "Are you alive?" She questioned the plant, not really expecting a response, but then it jumped up and turned to her, "GYAAA!!" It squeaked before running away.
"Mistress, I detected the presence of Zelda on that creature that just ran away, it would be optimal to chase it to get information." Fi advised, leaving Vexalia to stare at the path that the creature ran towards.
