Chapter 28: A Day at the Mall
As I headed toward my car, I glanced back at the girls. "Today and tomorrow, we're going to enjoy ourselves. And tomorrow night... there's a surprise."
The girls exchanged glances, murmuring a simple "Oh" as they settled into the car. Smiling, I took the wheel and sped off, leaving the mansion behind as we headed to the mall. I ignored most traffic rules on the way but somehow managed to avoid any accidents.
We pulled into the parking garage, and as I parked, I turned to them. "Go ahead and buy anything you like. I'll handle the bill. But don't get anything for me; I have plenty of clothes. And make sure to pick out a gown for tomorrow night."
Olivia looked up at me, tilting her head curiously. "A gown for tomorrow night? What's that for?"
I just smiled, ruffling her hair, and guided them to the elevator.
In the lift, a second-rate young master entered with his girlfriend. When he saw me, he fell silent and subtly gestured for his girlfriend to do the same. She didn't understand why he wanted her to be quiet, but I paid them no mind, chatting with the girls instead.
The elevator stopped on the first floor, and we made our way to the women's clothing section. I trailed behind the girls as they picked out various outfits, saying, "Try on whatever you like. I'll let you know which styles look best, but buy what you prefer—I want you to feel free to make your own choices."
They nodded and eagerly went to browse the racks. Soon, they were trying on outfits and showing them to me, while I offered feedback on which styles suited them best. At the same time, I mentally checked in with Koneka, wondering how many rewards I had left from the initial voice ability. She informed me there were 20 unopened rewards, waiting to be claimed.
While I was deciding whether to open them or not, a commotion caught my attention. Ah Ming was having a disagreement with the young master's girlfriend, who apparently wanted the same dress Ah Ming had chosen. Without a word, Ah Ming simply tossed the dress at her and picked another one, completely ignoring the girl's protests.
I flagged down a sales assistant and asked politely, "Could you please call the manager?"
She nodded and soon returned with the manager. The man addressed me with a nervous smile. "How can I assist you, Young Master Ye King?"
I pointed to the girl who had been shouting at Ah Ming. "I'd like her removed from the store."
He nodded, understanding immediately. "As you wish, Young Master Ye King."
After handling the situation, he returned and informed me that the girl had been escorted out. He also rewarded the sales assistant for her good service, reminding her to assist all customers and avoid any situations that might anger important patrons like me.
