Chapter 46: [ IS HE REALLY A PRINCE ]
Enoch hugged Abigail to himself and caressed her hanny-gold hair to calm himself, and also say sorry in a way to Abigail. The anger that was rising in him was immense than he had ever experienced. He had no idea what would have happened if Abigail was not around. Maybe he wouldn't be angry this much, because his brother won't get to upset him.
He felt like killing his brother for having ill intention towards Abigail, and the fact that he even held her forcefully angered him the most. But one thing he couldn't understand was how Abigail was able to stop him, and why she had that much effect on him. She was the first lady to have been able to calm his demon-like anger, but why, he didn't know.
Was he perhaps begining to like Abigail? Has he finally given his cold heart to a girl? No...No...No.... He never believed in love and has never fallen in love, so that can't be possible right? But then why? Why does he respects her so much, even though she's called Abigail? He hasn't had any good encounter with any one called Abigail and he doubt if this would be any different.
He stayed in his position hugging Abigail as he kept thinking, with his family watching them with different thought in their heads and different emotions towards the two. But non of these bordered Enoch nor Abigail.
"Come with me my prince, there's something I want to show you." Georgina said, interrupting the lovers from their emotion filled hug.
Enoch redrawn from the hug and held Abigail by the hand. He turned to look at his brother Daniel, who was still on the floor, seated and staring daggers at Enoch and Abigail as he pressed his face to ease the pain Enoch inflicted on him. "Don't even think about it, else I'll break all your bones." Enoch threatened and smirked. He lead Abigail to the stairs as he guided her to his mother's room.
"What is he talking about?" Rita, who was still angry from the incident earlier ask, looking down on Daniel.
Daniel open his palms and lifted them up. "I didn't do anything so don't ask me." He brought his hand down and pointed to the retreating figure of Enoch. "Why don't you ask that beast brother of yours?"
"Brother Enoch is not a beast, he's good than anyone." Becca, who has been watching everything silently commented angrily and storm out of the living room.
"Am not sure what you did, but if I found out you did something wrong to that innocent girl, I won't forgive you." Old Damtis said with a doubtful look.
"Innocent? What do you think I can do to that girl? She's a police officer for Christ sake, stop seeing her as an angel." Daniel shouted his words out and storm out of the house, driving off without saying goodbye to anyone.
__________ In Georgina's room.
"I got my friend to sign this document, all we need now is the signature of Mr Andason, and you can do whatever you want with your life." Georgina said, giving Enoch the documents she made Efua's mother sign.
"Mum, you shouldn't have worried yourself, that man is not going to sign this documents. All he thinks about is money, and does what his witch of a daughter wants." Enoch said bitterly.
" My prince, don't worry, I'll find a way with my friend. Am doing my part here so do yours." Georgina said as she looked at Abigail and smile.
"Mum! I told you am not ready yet, please don't put stuff in her head." Enoch said and went out of the room, knowing his mother wants to talk to Abigail privately.
Abigail was at a lost on the discussion the mother and son were having, even though she had her doubt. She kept looking at her fingers till she heard a motherly voice mentioned her name so sweetly. "Abigail, my dear can we talk for a while?" Georgina asked.
She lifted her head and stared at the woman in front of her in a daze. Georgina noticed her surprise look and prompt her. "Are you okay my dear?" She asked.
"I've never heard my name sound so sweet on a woman's lips, to think I'll hear it in a house that everyone dislike my name.... " The tears she had been caging in all this while, was finally freed from it cage.
"You don't have to cry my dear, sorry for how my children treated you, I know it was not a good way to welcome you but, please forgive them. They have their differences." Georgina sat beside her and said calmly, wiping of her tears.
" Since nobody likes your name here as you say, why don't you tell me what to call you, like your local name." Georgina said and Abigail smiled shortly.
" You can call me Nana. That's my local name and Enoch calls me that too." Abigail said without lifting her hand.
" Oh... My prince is really romantic. I can see how much you love him, have you told him?" Georgina asked as she lifted Abigail's head to look at her face.
" No ma'am, I can't do that." Abigail answered shyly.
" You don't have to call me ma'am, you can call me mother, that is if you see me as one, because I've already accepted your relationship with my prince." Georgina said happily.
" You know, my prince has been with three Abigail's, and non of them were able to do what you did today. I'll ask you to let him know how you feel, maybe he'll open his heart to you." Georgina said as she wiped the tears on the ream of Abigail's eyes.
Abigail realized why the name Abigail sound like a taboo in Enoch's family. All those Enoch had been with were called Abigail, and they all did something bad to him, especially the one called Efua. "No wonder he has never called me Abigail. He really hate them, he hates me." Abigail muttered.
" No my dear, I can vouch for my prince that he loves you, he just hasn't accepted it yet. I saw how he forth for you with his brother, it has never happened before. He really loves you." Georgina said, trying to reason with her.
" But why can't he say it, I love him too, I love him so much, but he.. he doesn't." Abigail said and broke into tears again.
" My dear, please be strong, don't let him see you this weak. Ask for his love, am sure he'll give it to you. You just have to be patient." Georgina said and wiped off Abigail's tears completely.
" What did you say to her, why is she crying?" Abigail and Georgina lifted their heads to see Enoch at the door with a cold face, squeezing the documents in his fist as he clinged his jow.
"Calm down my prince, you know am the only one on your side here. You don't want to get on my bad side." Georgina said mockingly.
"I think I found a new name for you, one that suits you better." Abigail said as she went to stand by Enoch, which brightened his face a little.
"I hope you are not giving my prince a name that won't sound good, else I won't support you." Georgina said and folded her arms, which made them giggle, but Enoch still had that cold face.
"Is he really a prince?" Abigail asked out of curiosity, looking at Enoch.
"Yes he is. His father is a king in his home town, and I am a queen in this town. I got pregnant with him after we were both crowned, so that makes him a prince." Georgina said proudly.
"But he doesn't look like one, his face is Soo cold like ice cubes." Abigail said and the two of them laughed but Enoch still kept his cold face
"Really, do I look like an ice cube? That is too small and my face is big." Enoch asked, making the ladies laugh more.
They stepped out and Abigail said her goodbye to the remaining family members, especially to Becca and Douglas, who had been a good host to her since she arrived in the Sorphnaf Mansion. The two stepped out of the house with Enoch holding Abigail's hand like a child who needs guidelines.
"I hope you don't think your visit is over?" Enoch asked immediately his car set of from the mansion.
Abigail wasn't surprised, she had expected Enoch to take her somewhere after visiting the Sorphnaf Mansion, but she didn't know where. "I had only one visit written on my agenda, so where are you taking me?" she asked sarcastically.
" You'll see." Enoch replied simply with a mischievous smile playing on his lips.
" Am not going if you won't tell me." She said, folding her arms.
" You are in my car already." He replied.
" I can just jump off." She threaten.
"The doors are locked." He said and smirked.
"Okay you win. I'll go bet on one condition." She said, giving up on the bargain.
"And that is?" Enoch asked simply.
"You'll have to take me to my mother's house in the morning." She replied.
"That means you accept to spend the night with me, even before I could ask." Enoch said teasingly.
" Hah! I never said that, I'll go home from where you are taking me." Abigail said and shifted away from Enoch angrily.
"That's if you can." Enoch whispered to himself and smirked.
They stayed separately in the car as Gideon drove them silently, glancing at them from time to time as they kept acting angry with each other. The car came to a holt all of a sudden in front of a house. Enoch harried to hold Abigail to prevent her from hitting her head against anything in the car. But instead, their lips met in a perfect kiss.
Gideon rushed out of the car, making sure he was not noticed by the two lovers, knowing what he did was intentional. He went into the house and opened the main gate before putting on the lights in the house.
