The moment Guan Zhiyi got off the plane and connected to the internet, a large number of WeChat messages popped up.

She clicked on it and saw lots of her friends from the circle sending her a text in regards to that pregnancy news on the internet. At first, she found how everyone seemed surprised, somewhat hilarious, but then to her surprise she saw Qi Chengyan was also included among those people.

Guan Zhiyi was speechless, nevermind other people, how could Qi Chengyan join this spectacle too!

Whether she's pregnant or not, would she hide it from him?

Clicking into the recent calls, Guan Zhiyi was about to make a phone call to Qi Chengyan, but she received an incoming call from him first.

"Hello."

"There's a car waiting outside for you, come straight to my car later." Said Qi Chengyan.

Guan Zhiyi: "You came to pick me up? Why didn't you tell me first?"

"You went to hospital the last time because of a stomachache, right?"

Guan Zhiyi was amused, she hardly ever heard Qi Chengyan using such a tone as he has always been well versed in everything. This appearance of his made her want to tease him,"Uh….what if it is not?"

Qi Chengyan instantly felt a little nervous,"What the news said is true? But why didn't you tell me?"

Guan Zhiyi suppressed the smile on the corner of her mouth,"Isn't it to give a surprise for you?"

The other side went silent for a few seconds, just as Guan Zhiyi thought that he must be in a great shock, she suddenly heard another person's voice roaring from the phone, "Guan Zhiyi!"

"....."

Guan Zhiyi: "Of course it's not."

"Then just now you….."

"I'm just messing around with you when I heard how funny and serious you sound, who would have thought that my brother is here too."

Guan Yuanbai's face looked cold,"You'd better not be lying."

"I'm telling the truth."Guan Zhiyi pointed her fingers towards Liu Yun,"You can ask my agent if you don't believe me, she also came to the hospital that day. It's really just a stomachache, as for the picture….I was wearing a staff member padded jacket that's too big on me."

Liu Yun also spoke as she saw this situation, "It's true, that news is fake, both of you can be rest assured."

Guan Zhiyi got into the car,"That's right, if I really am pregnant, how could I not tell the family….."

When he saw that Guan Zhiyi doesn't look like she was lying, Guan Yuanbai finally loosened up, he said sternly,"If you two dare to give me a premarital pregnancy, I'll outright disown you from home."

Guan Yuanbai's way of speaking sounded like he was their elder, hearing this, Qi Chengyan who sat in the driver seat, raised his eyebrows slightly.

Guan Zhiyi posted a clarification on Weibo and put an end to all the gossip-mongers.

She spent the next following days at home resting, nourishing her poor stomach. During which Qi Chengyan would always call to remind her to eat three meals a day, lest she'd not tending herself well.

She felt bored only staying at home today, so she searched for a baking tutorial video and attempted to try. She very seldom made something like dessert and after spending hours making them, she finally managed to whip up a few cupcakes.

Once everything finished, she took a picture and sent it to Qi Chengyan.

Qi Chengyan replied shortly: [Looks good, save one for me.]

Guan Zhiyi: [You won't be back until night…..they're not going to taste as delicious then.]

Qi Chengyan: [That's a shame.]

Guan Zhiyi thought for a moment: [Are you going to be really busy today? If not, how about I send them to your company?]

Delivering stuff is just secondary, the main point is she wanted to see him.

Guan Zhiyi: [I won't bother you, I'll immediately leave after sending them!]

Qi Chengyan: [You still afraid of bothering me? Tell me when you get here, I'll come to pick you.]

After hanging up the call, Guan Zhiyi excitedly put the cupcakes into a box and drove straight to his company.

In fact, she never went to Qi Company anymore as she got older. One, because she is usually really busy, two, with this occupation of hers she would always be under everyone's eyes wherever she goes.

The moment they arrived at his office, Guan Zhiyi took the cupcake out of the box, "Ta da! A caramel pineapple cupcake! Try it."

Qi Chengyan took a bite using a small fork and said, "Um, it tastes delicious."

"I know right~" Guan Zhiyi said, "Then you eat first, I'll leave once you're done."

Qi Chengyan brought her to his side,"Huh, you're really going to just leave like that?"

"No matter how busy I am, I want to stay with you for a while."

Thereupon, after he finished eating, she stayed with him in his office until 

his assistant came in to notify him that he had to attend a meeting.

"This meeting will probably last for about an hour, should I ask someone to send you downstairs?" Qi Chengyan asked.

Sitting on his office chair, Guan Zhiyi lazily said, "I can leave by myself later, hurry up and go to your meeting, don't worry about me."

"Then pay attention to safety, call someone if anything happens…."

"Aiya, I got it, President Qi, Brother Qi, my car is parked in your company parking lot, no one can possibly kidnap me."

The assistant at the doorway pursed his lips and chuckled.

Qi Chengyan gave her a sideways glance before saying, "Then send me a message when you get home."

They held this sort of meeting every once a month, it usually took place for a little over an hour. But this time, because there was a problem with the marketing department, the meeting drag on for two hours.

It was already six o'clock in the evening when the meeting was completely over.

Qi Chengyan looked visibly annoyed when he came out because he just scolded his subordinates inside.

The assistant followed him in wary, pushing the door open for him as they reached his office,"President Qi, should we still let the advertising side follow the marketing department's plan?"

Qi Chengyan twisted his eyebrows then pulled his own necktie rashly.

Seeing that his boss expression is not good, he changed his words, "Then I'll let the advertising department to-"

Before he finished speaking, he saw Qi Chengyan abruptly raising his hand, signalling him to stop talking.

"Get out."

The assistant was stunned for a moment, he then realize that there's someone inside the office, and it was still the same woman…..he suddenly breathed out a sigh of relief.

She now can extinguish their boss' anger.

Without staying any longer, he quietly closed the door for them.

The day is getting dark, the sun outside the floor-to-ceiling window is setting boundlessly, faint yellow rays of light are pouring in through that piece of glass, the whole room seemed to be embraced in a dream.

Qi Chengyan walked in and stopped beside his desk, staring at the people right before his eyes.

To his surprise, she had not left yet.

At this moment, she was sitting down in a chair where he usually works, leaning to the side, sleeping very soundly.

The light was hazy, she was peaceful and quiet, blending into the background of a sunset.

"Xiaowu." He called out softly.

The sleeping person dazedly turned awake.

She opened her eyes and looked up at him, her eyes still filled with the confusion of a person who just woke up,"Brother? You're done?

 "Why are you still here?"He bent down, the fierceness in his face had faded away altogether, just like what his assistant expected.

Guan Zhiyi naturally reached out her hand and wrapped her arms around his neck, she laughed weakly,"I'm waiting for you to take me home."

Qi Chengyan froze slightly, he didn't know why, but somehow he suddenly recalled lots and lots of memories from when they were young.

During those days, she would always wait for him to pick her up at the school gate, and when she saw him coming, she would smile sweetly at him then say, "I'm waiting for you to take me home."

At that time, he probably never thought that the little girl who always called him brother would become an existence he could never part with in the future, right?

Guan Zhiyi: "What's wrong?"

Qi Chengyan held her up from the chair, he had an inexplicable urge in his heart, he desperately wanted to stay with her forever.

"Xiaowu."

"Um?"

"Do you want to marry brother?" he said unexpectedly.

The whole city was sinking into darkness, everything seemed to be awfully quiet.

She didn't say anything right away and just stared at him.

Qi Chengyan pursed his lips, he vaguely felt a little uneasy in his heart.

Perhaps....she has not thought that far ahead.

He smoothed his lower lip lightly, and was about to say,"it's okay, we can talk about it again next time.", she suddenly smiled at him, looking delicate and charming, with a gentle and soft expression.

"Yes." He heard her say.

As if a light has broken free from the darkness, it lit up his whole world at once.

And at this moment he knew that he could hold this light for forever.
