For that painting in the study, he had to make a special trip aboard and spent a lot of effort as well as money to fight over it from a group of enthusiasts. He was very fond of that painting.

Hence, Guan Zhiyi instantly felt an anxiety, the moment she trailed the direction auntie pointed and saw the painting on the wall is splattered by blue and green paints across it.

After some time, Qi Chengyan grabbed Guan Zhiyi's hand, leaning close to her and said in a low voice, "Xiaowu, what mischief have you done?"

"I didn't do anything…."

"Then why are you being so well-behaved today?"

Guan Zhiyi sheepishly said,"Aren't I always well-behaved every day."

"How come I don't know that you are always well-behaved?"

 

"How can that be…"Guan Zhiyi blinked her eyes with a docile expression,"You are the head of this family, I must be well-behaved and obedient."

"Oh.....obedient?" Qi Chengyan suddenly said, "Listen to everything I said?"

"Of course."

Qi Chengyan smiled indistinctly, he approached her ear and whispered a few words.

Guan Zhiyi's eyes widened, her face was flushing red, "This-- this won't do!"

"Huh..... it's not like that." Ruirui said in a childish tone, "I give a massage to daddy voluntarily!"

Guan Yuanbai sighed, saying, "Voluntarily? Ruirui, don't learn such things from your mother."

Guan Zhiyi: "......"

Seeing that he had a guest coming in, Qi Chengyan released Guan Zhiyi's hand then said,"Is something the matter? Why did you two suddenly come over?"

Guan Yuanbai: "Yup, related to the project."

Qi Chengyan walked closer to it, saying, "Song Li, you don't see it?"

Song Li wondered, "What?"

Qi Chengyan stopped talking, on the contrary, Guan Yuanbai followed to draw closer and looked carefully at it, after a while, he said,"Chengyan, you can't possibly display a replica, are you? Why, afraid it'll get stolen?"

Song Li was surprised, "This is a replica? Are you kidding me, he's using a replica?"

Guan Yuanbai failed to understand him,"You're insane, buying this painting just to alter it….. it's so not like you, squandering money like this."

"Then who---"Guan Yuanbai paused as something came to his mind,"Don't tell me it's the work of those two geniuses from your family."

Guan Yuanbai: ".....you don't need to sound so proud at this time."

At first, Guan Zhiyi was nervous that the things about that painting would be discovered, but she didn't hear anything from downstairs afterwards, hence she gleefully thought Qi Chengyan still had not discovered it. So the pair of mother and daughter then happily watched a movie in their room.

Ruirui paused, then turned her head to look at him,"I want to watch it here...."

"Watch in your room."

"No, I'm going to sleep with mommy tonight."

Qi Chengyan smiled faintly, "That's no good, Ruirui is a big girl now and should sleep by herself."

"But I've been sleeping by myself for a whole month, mommy finally came back so I want to sleep with mommy today!"Ruirui said,"Daddy, you shouldn't do this! You're always telling me to leave."

Ruirui tugged on Guan Zhiyi clothes, not willing to leave. When she saw her daughter clung to her like this, Guan Zhiyi's heart softened,"How about we let her sleep with us today?"

How could Qi Chengyan agree to that? He has not seen her for a whole month, and naturally he also wasn't able to touch her during that period. He sat up, his expression dimmed,"Ruirui."
