Chapter 103: Love Talk
### Episode 103: Love Talk
“Ta-Taro-san, do you have someone you like?”
“Huh? Someone I like?”
“A gay samurai?”
“Yes, someone you like. Given your age, I understand that talking about love might be a bit embarrassing, but
I’m a 14-year-old lady. I can listen to your concerns.”
She’s two years younger than me.
“I also want to help Tenshi-sama, so if you ever want to talk about someone you like, I’m here for you!”
Following Lily-san, even Mina leaned in and joined the conversation.
“What’s gotten into both of you all of a sudden?”
“Taro-shi, this is what’s called a love talk. Don’t be embarrassed; why not share your feelings?”
Oh, even Unknown-san is on board? Why is everyone looking at me so kindly? Could it be that my face
unintentionally showed weakness because of Akane-chan, who briefly flashed across my mind at the mention of
love talk? If so, that’s not good. I don’t want their pity, nor do I feel I did anything pitiful. I don’t regret
confessing my feelings.
“Taro-san, are you okay?”
“Tenshi-sama…”
“Oh, I’m fine. Really, nothing’s wrong.”
My smile might be awkward, but that can’t be helped. When I looked around, I saw Mina had moved to sit with
Lily-san and Unknown-san. They seemed to be having a secret meeting again.
“Making Tenshi-sama look like that… unforgivable, those little dragons.”
“Just because they’re somewhat handsome, making my rival Taro-san sad is inexcusable.”
“A tragic love story is also nice… an innocent girl left with an unhealed wound by two beautiful boys… Who will
heal her delicate heart?”
“That’s not nice!”
“It’s not nice at all!”
Whoa. Suddenly, Mina and Lily-san shouted at Unknown-san.
“As Tenshi-sama’s closest friend, I think I’m the most suitable!”
“As Taro-san’s rival, it should be my duty!”
What’s going on? They’re definitely arguing about me, but the atmosphere is too intense to approach.
“Tenshi-sama… do you still care about Yu-san and Kou-san?”
I don’t understand why Yuki and Koya are suddenly the topic, but with Mina and Lily-san’s serious faces, I
respond reflexively.
“Well, yeah…”
I do care. How’s the war with the mercenary clan ‘Hyakki Yagyo’ going? What’s their view on the ‘Rainbow
Goddess Arco-Iris’ Church? How would they react if I told them I’ve turned into a girl?
“Why?”
“Huh?”
Unknown-san dealt the final blow.
“We’re curious.”
Why, you ask? Because they’ve always been there for me and being with them is fun. We’ve known each other
for a long time.
“I might not be able to put it into words well…”
Pushed by the girls, I hesitantly confess my true feelings about Yuki and Koya.
“They’ve helped me a lot… we’ve been together forever… I feel most at ease with them… they’re important to
me.”
It’s embarrassing. I feel shy.
“I’m jealous.”
“I’m jealous too.”
Huh? Oh, I guess they envy my position. Those two are handsome, so they must admire my friendship with them.
Maybe I should introduce Mina and Lily-san to Yuki and Koya more, even if it’s just in the game. While thinking
that, the girls resumed their secret meeting.
When girls get serious, I can’t hear a thing. I never thought I’d wish for eavesdropping skills.
“It seems they have a significant crush.”
“But it’s just an online relationship, right?”
“They can’t meet face-to-face…”
“That’s true… it won’t bear fruit… Taro-san is treading a thorny path of love.”
“But there’s one thing that bothers me.”
“What is it?”
“Taro-shi said they’ve been together for a long time… what does that mean?”
“Yes, considering the age difference, I wonder how they met.”
The women’s secret meeting ended, and they turned to me again.
“How did you meet Kou-san and Yu-san?”
Hmm. I guess knowing how I met those handsome guys is important to them. But my story won’t be helpful—it’s
just school and class.
“They’re real-life friends. We just met at school.”
“WHAT?”
Even Unknown-san was shocked. Is it that surprising to meet handsome guys by chance? They stared at me in
disbelief for a while.
The girls quickly resumed their meeting.
“We need to organize the information.”
“Taro-shi is a student at a private integrated school with Yu-shi and Kou-shi.”
“It’s likely they met through extracurricular activities, charity events, or school festivals.”
“To think someone younger than me… Tenshi-sama fell into their clutches…”
“And they seem to meet frequently.”
“They’re part of Taro-san’s daily life.”
“Tenshi-sama’s private life…?”
“I’m very curious.”
“We should interrogate those two handsome devils to learn about Tenshi-sama’s life.”
“That’s a great idea. I’d love to know what beautiful and serene Taro-san’s life is like.”
“It must be divine… and adorable.”
“Ladies, you’re missing the point. The issue is Taro-shi’s feelings for the two handsome boys.”
“Are there really just two?”
“Indeed, we need to confirm that…”
After a long meeting, they looked at me with a serious, competitive air.
I braced myself. What are they going to say?
Swallowing nervously, I waited for their words.
Then, Lily-san dropped a bombshell question.
“So, Taro-san, which one is your true love?”
“Huh?”
For a moment, I didn’t understand what she meant.
“Which of those two do you have romantic feelings for?”
“Yes?”
I was confused. Everyone looked at me expectantly.
“Um, well, who do you have romantic feelings for, Yu-san or Kou-san?”
“What!?”
Sure, Yuki is cool and kind, and Koya is intelligent and dependable. But I don’t have romantic feelings for them;
they’re just friends.
“Those two are just friends.”
The girls looked skeptical.
“Tenshi-sama?”
“Yes, Mina-sama.”
Mina teleported next to me, asking urgently.
“We’re friends, right?”
“Well, yeah.”
Mina’s eyes were dark and serious.
“So, no lies, okay?”
“Yeah, I understand.”
Mina sighed in relief. What was she so worried about?
“Okay, Tenshi-sama, question.”
“Go ahead, Mina-san.”
Why is this so nerve-wracking? We were supposed to be discussing what to sell at our stall, but how did it come
to this?
“Between Yu-san and Kou-san, who do you like romantically?”
Romantically…
No way. I need to deny it again. They might misunderstand.
“No, I don’t like either of them romantically.”
“Really?”
Mina quickly confirmed.
“Yeah, I mean, I like girls.”
I naturally told them the truth.
“!”
Mina’s eyes sparkled, and Lily-san blushed and turned away. Only Unknown-san smiled calmly.
Wait. I forgot I look like a girl now. Saying I like girls sounds weird.
“Um, well, this is…”
I tried to explain, but it was too late.
“Oh my! Discussing love without me? That’s so mean!”
Our third companion, the dark-skinned punchy drag queen, George, joined us.
George is my business partner. He helps sell my ‘Emerald Potion’ and collaborates on crafting arts. His
involvement in our stall planning is invaluable.
“Sorry, George. Everything okay?”
I was glad George came, but now explaining myself was harder.
“I was delayed by a delivery to a client.”
“George-san…”
“George-shi, perfect timing. We discovered something surprising about Taro-shi. You might find it interesting.”
“Trying to seduce Taro-san… I see…”
Well, let them think what they want.
I need to steer the conversation back to our stall plans.
“George, is everything okay with your mercenary clan?”
George is the vice-captain of the craft mercenary clan ‘Sadistic Stick.’ He’s a busy man.
“For you, Tenshi-chan, I’ll always come! Our clan has plenty of people, so the stall will be fine!”
“That’s great. Having you on board is reassuring.”
“Of course, darling! I’m your union crafter after all!”
“A union crafter with George-san? That’s amazing.”
Unknown-san reacted strongly. She’s a dedicated crafter, so she knows the term ‘union crafter.’
A union crafter is a group of specialized players collaborating to create weapons, armor, items, accessories,
furniture, arts, or unknown objects. It requires mutual trust and cooperation.
“Wow, a union crafter with George-san? That’s impressive!”
The shopkeeper, Nyudo-san, joined the conversation, bringing a ‘Cloudy to Sunny Juice’ for George.
“Excuse me, who’s a brother?”
George’s eyebrow twitched. I sensed trouble and quickly addressed Nyudo-san.
“Nyudo-san, your cooking is amazing. As an alchemist, I’m fascinated by your ‘Cloudy to Sunny Juice.’ How did
you make it?”
“Oh, well, I’m glad you asked!”
